I’m happy to say that I can revise my first rating for Bagels & Beans.
We decided to eat breakfast here once again, because we weren’t in the mood for searching a breakfast spot at our 2nd morning in Amsterdam.
The waitress took our order right away and after approx. 15 min we were eating a delicious bagel with the tasty jam and a good tea aside.
The quality/​price ratio is really good. It’s perfect for tourists because they have an English menu and free WiFi.
As we’re going to stay at the same hotel for our next trip to Amsterdam surely we will eat breakfast here again!

Love this Bagels & Beans! Super friendly staff and the tasty quality you expect from Bagels & Beans.
There is plenty of seating inside and outside with various kinds of seating. A small children’s area is towards the back if you have little ones, and there is a diaper changing table in the bathroom if you need it.
The wifi is free and open, so no password needed. It’s super close to a tram stop (tram 26-​only tram on IJBurg) too. If you would like to explore IJburg, it’s a nice place to start and get fueled up before walking around.

Bagels & Beans is going to be a surprise for me for a while. Not only their base product is American (bagels), but also the way you can order them. Lots of choices, which can drive me mad sometimes when I am in a hurry, but which is also fun, because your next bagel will be different for sure!
They also seem to be making wicked smoothies, just saw someone leave with one that had «green powder» as main ingredient. Need to try that next time!
Teas are good, they have a nice choice of biologic teas. And of course the coffee, which is pretty OK here… it could withstand my litmus test for double espresso: not too much acidity, strong yet soft.
All in all, definitely worth visiting
(The 4 stars may end up being 5 when I tried more of their offerings!)
