My husband and I went and had a burger late evening yesterday. It was so delicious. The buns are homemade fresh. The meat was a very good quality. Veggies were crisp and fresh. Based on this meal. We will be going back soon!

Went there Mother’s Day waited outside for 25 minutes they says the 5 of us in the back at a table for for… buffet style all the trays of food were pretty much empty and what was there wasn’t that good… NEVER go there againand if I knew how to put ½ star I would.

I finally tried this place out. I’m fessing up that I didn’t choose a healthy option from the menu but the burrito I ate was amazing! I don’t know how often I can say I have the perfect blend of ingredients but everything, including the sautéed onions, complimented the burrito well. I’m no foodie but it sure hit the spot! Okay, I pretty much just raved over a burrito but [BURP!] compliments to the chef. :) + Host and server were friendly. + Portions and food quality worth my money — A little noisy but it’s expected being a small place. The mirrors visually open things up though.

When you crave breakfast at 4:30pm, you don’t expect much besides IHOP. However, thanks to Unilocal,I found Elbo Room. I called before heading over to ensure that they served breakfast all day, and they do! Apparently 4:30pm isn’t a popular time to eat in Zeeland because I was the only customer in the whole place. However, the server was very nice and chatty. She made me feel comfortable without being overwhelming. I ordered Betty’s Breakfast which consisted of 2 eggs over sautéed green pepper, onion, zucchini, mushroom, tomato, organic spinach & hash-browns, and toast on the side(I went with trusty sour dough). Since there wasn’t a huge kitchen backup, my food came out quickly and piping hot. My server provided me with sriracha sauce and I was set. The toast seemed to be homemade(not usual square toast, more an oval shape) and served with delicious strawberry jam. The rest of the menu looks fantastic, but I always take advantage of breakfast served at non-breakfast hours. I will be returning again, hopefully soon!

The food is great, I especially love the pancakes that is if I can even get there. They have some very odd hours which has been an inconvenience to myself and others. The service also left much to be desired, our waitress forgot about us even though the place wasn’t busy.

Unexpectedly great. The new location isn’t like the old one, but the menu is solid. Wonderful food and nice people. Breakfasts are awesome.

The soup bar is your best bet here, they have 3 homemade soups and usually 1 or 2 are really good. Most of the other things I’ve tried are not that good or seem like they’re prepared by people who don’t give a crap. On my LAST visit I wanted a light lunch and ordered 2 eggs, scrambled and hand cut fries. Eggs were cold and skimpy, fries were saturated with grease which I sent back and had replaced with hash browns. 15 minutes later the waitress(who was really nice) brings out a small plate of greasy under cooked hashbrowns with green edged potatoes(which I think is not healthy??) My friend had the soup bar which she liked and a 6 $ cinnamon roll, which was terrible, hard and flavorless. This place is decorated so nicely, good location, and has such possibility but the people in the kitchen lack either the know– how or passion for cooking good food. About 30 minutes after eating here I got bad stomach pains. Will NOT return!

I would like to give the Elbo Room 4.5 stars based on he price. I think it’s a little expensive for this location. Our food was a solid five though. I had red snapper tacos which were served with delicious rice beans, and homemade tortillas. My husband had a jerbana sandwich and French fries that were YUMMY.

Confession… we ordered take out 2 nights in a row this week! you know when you usually get fries to go and you get home and their all soggy and soft, NOT this place!!! Everything we ordered both nights was outstanding especially those fries-crispy on the outside, perfect on the inside! Highly recommend the food, stop in and visit or take out. We want to keep them around for good!!!

Loved this spot! Great breakfast food with a unique twist! Awesome zucchini bread and you have to order the jer bear omelette! Great friendly service and they don’t push coffee on you.

Decided to try this place based upon other Unilocal reviews. Nice place. Good experience, good service, tasty food. We found the potatoes oversalted but otherwise all was fine. A bite pricey but fair to quality and quantity of food.

Recently had breakfast, then stopped in for dinner last week. So happy we did! We really enjoyed our Western omelet, hash and seafood. The service was great, which is such a bonus. We’ll definitely be back!

I want to like this place but it’s mis-fired a couple times. Atmosphere is definitely a little lacking and the food the past couple of visits was only so-so. This most recent time the Prime Rib was almost too salty to eat. When I mentioned it they said I was the 2nd to say so and offered no remedy.

I firmly believe a review is only as useful, accurate, and valuable as the man who writes it. So first, who am I? For what it’s worth, I’ve cooked professionally for about a decade now and have been responsible for making sure my kitchen consistently puts out quality food. Now, let’s return to our subject — The Elbo Room. I frequently visit this establishment with family after Sunday church service. Overall I’m a fan of this casual self proclaimed bistro style eatery. Their hours are awesome. They are almost always open(till 9pm weekdays and 10pm weekends). Heck, they are even open on Sunday which seems to be an exception to the norm for a business in Zeeland! They also have a large menu selection. They serve both breakfast and lunch during lunch hours. So whatever your palate is in the mood for I’m sure you’ll find something on their menus. I typically get the burrito. The burrito is delicious and is quite filling even for the average over-sized man. If you like spicy I highly recommend ordering it with their«Mean Green Sauce» which is actually just a spicy salsa verde. Unfortunately for the Bistro one of my specialties is mexican food and southwest cuisine so here’s my constructive criticism. FIRSTANDMOSTIMPORTANT, REALBURRITOSSERVEDWITHCHICKENINSIDESHOULDBESHREDDEDCHICKENNOTDICED.(Just because Qdoba serves diced chicken doesn’t mean that’s how it should be served.) Second, they serve the burrito under a spicy red sauce which if my taste buds are correct it has way to much cumin in the sauce. In fact get rid of the cumin altogether.(You as the patron can’t do anything about that though) Third, green bell peppers in a burrito? Es loco amigo!!! I usually get rid of the bell pepper in favor of jalapeño or whatever kind of chili pepper they have in the kitchen. I could go on and on but I really don’t want to give off the wrong impression about this establishment. Overall, for the reasonable price, casual atmosphere, tasty food, friendly service, and liberal hours of operation this one’s a winner!

I recently had brunch at the Elbo Room Bistro and the food was fantastic and very high quality. I had the Southwest Omelet with hashbrowns. I really liked how they tucked slices of avocado inside the omelet. They also serve slices of banana bread, which is a nice offering. Linda & Becca provided amazing service, so definitely check this place out!

Awesome food and great service. Prices are a little high to make it a regular stop. Due to the type of layout it’s very loud and hard for conversation.

This is my new favorite breakfast spot. They have the BEST hash-browns I’ve eaten. Anywhere. Breakfasts are excellent. Lunches are excellent too. Their sandwiches are huge and filled with fresh cuts of meat(the Ruben has actual hunks of corned beef, not lunch meat). If you’re a salad person try the Waldorf or Cobb. Delicious!

Many vegetarian options for breakfast. We had the breakfast wrap and veggie quesadilla. Good flavor and portion sizes. The service was quick and and attentive. Our server even offered coffee to go. We will be back to Elbo room ASAP!

I’m sure sad for Saugatuck, but what a welcome for Zeeland to have this new restaurant. I like the nautical décor, very simple and open. My family came here to celebrate Mother’s Day, my birthday, and my sister’s fiancé’s birthday. We were seated pretty quickly, and we started out with the cinnamon roll. This is huge and like the size of a 6 or 8 inch cake. We had no problems splitting this with our group of 5. I had the Crab & Asparagus Benedict and that was really tasty. I appreciated my coffee getting topped off, and our waitress was super nice. I certainly hope the restaurant stays a while and that I can come back.

I had high hopes for this new place. I ordered eggs Benedict and they were nothing special. My friend had a veggie omelet and it was lacking flavor. Cinnamon roll was good. Then we returned to give lunch a try… Needless to say that everything was so bland! No flavor. Ordered a chicken sandwich and roll up. The chicken was so dry and no flavor. Also, everything is so overpriced and i wouldn’t mind if it was worth it. Crab cakes are a good size but not good at all.
