Love fried chicken. Chicken I had seemed to be made a while ago, it wasn’t crispy but when you’re hungry forget the skin. It’s probably healthier anyways. It’s good, but parking has a huge dip in it. Kept me energized for Joshua tree!

I was an extremely picky eater when I was little, and one of the only foods I actively craved and enjoyed was KFC’s mashed potatoes and gravy. My parents tried to feed me non-KFC mashed potatoes in the hopes that they might expand my repertoire, and I turned my nose up at them – they bore no resemblance to what I must’ve considered at the time to be real mashed potatoes. My love for KFC has subsided somewhat since childhood, and until a recent trip to Joshua Tree, I don’t think I’d been to one in several years. I went on a chicken run for a snack to share with my friends, who were waiting back at the house we’d rented. There was one car ahead of me in the drive-thru line – I’m guessing it doesn’t get too much busier than that. When my turn was up, I tried to order some Hot Wings™, and was told there were only three wings left, but that I was welcome to wait while they fried up another batch. I asked how long that would be and the woman on the speaker said, «About twelve minutes.» The baffling thing is that she actually seemed to think I might want to wait around at this drive-thru for another twelve minutes, in order to get the most widely available fried chicken wings in the country. I mean is that a thing people do? Anyway, I got those last three wings in a Go Cup®, which also came with some potato wedges. Since this wasn’t enough food to make a nice snack, I added an order of Popcorn Nuggets and, of course, some mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was all mediocre, definitely worse than I thought it would be, with tired skin and bland meat. The potato wedges were mushy and underseasoned. The mashed potatoes, though, were delicious, exactly the way I remembered them. I know now that KFC’s mashed potatoes are more powder and water than they are potatoes, but I don’t mind as long as they taste like they do. I doubt I’ll rekindle a KFC habit, but I enjoyed my nostalgic mashed potatoes. If you’re in the mood for KFC in Joshua Tree, this is the one. Just leave time for deep frying when you drive through.

My big complaint is that I ordered and paid for a white meat meal, and I discovered, when I got home, 20 miles later, that I had 3 pieces of dark meat — 2 backs and a leg. It’s not rocket science, people. I am giving 2, rather than 1 stars because the chicken was well prepared and not greasy(this time), potatoes were crisp as was the coleslaw. Biscuit was a little dry and I was not given any of the butter/honey concoction for the biscuit. I have gotten some really nasty greasy chicken from this KFC in the past, but not this time. I am truly pissed at having paid extra for white meat and discovering the opposite of what I wanted, and living too far away to make it reasonable to go back and fix it. We don’t have a lot of restaurant choices out here. I guess I’ll be making my own fried chicken. Too bad.

Came in on a Sunday early evening, restaurant was very clean and employees were friendly. My husband and I both got the 3 piece, hot chicken and hot sides with a nice soft biscuit. I’m so glad the one in 29 closed because this one is 1000xs better and worth the drive.

Actually I was impressed with the service. I was home for the holiday for this weekend an i been craving some kfc. We used to go 29 palms kfc. This was our first time tying the one in yucca valley. So me an my wife love kfc potpies so we went to the drive thru. Right away a gentleman offer us a family meal. He had very positive energy. We asked if they had any potpies an right away he said of course. So we brought 5 potpies. Normally I never leave feedback but they actually had exactly what we wanted. We got home an hour later an the potpies were still delicious. It was a great experience.

So I must have forgotten how this KFC was because last Friday at 736pm I went there to get some food only to be told that they had no extra crispy chicken and that it would be a 28 minute wait! A TWENTYEIGHTMINUTEWAIT! on a Friday night?! Any night for that matter but a Friday? Whomever the employee was didn’t offer anything in the way of sympathy and seemed annoyed. That was your last chance. Avoid this place like the plague. Their customer service sucks and the food, well I honestly can’t judge what I never seem to get!

Rude unconcerned person taking my order. They don’t have what lured me in which was a coupon for a sandwich they don’t have. Can you substitute something else of equal value? Sorry no substitutions. This place is always a problem. They always are out of what you want, don’t have broiled, don’t have this, don’t have that. Add the rude teenager… strike 3. Horrible.

This KFC has the worst employees. They don’t appear to care about customers. The manager«Pablo» is just as bad! Every time I go there they are out of what I want and sometimes will tell you it will be 25 minutes which usually will get you to change your mind and order whatever OLD chicken they have left. Last night I wanted the 3 chicken Pot pies for my family, so I go to drive thru, I was told they had only 1 and it would be 25 minutes to make more. Since all of my family had their heart set on the pies, I said I would wait! At the window, I was told they would not make more pies! I asked to speak to a manager and she yells, «Pablo, This guy wants to speak to you.» in a very disgruntled voice. Pablo came & said what? I explained about what I wanted & was told he didn’t have enough employees to make the pies. however, there were at least 5 just standing around! I asked about customer service and he just smiled and said sorry, have a nice day! The morale of this review is for everyone to use Vons or Stater Bros for your chicken, as far as pot pies, Marie Calendars frozen pie is great! I suggest staying away from this KFC.

Bad… bad…bad! Out of four times I have been here, they have screwed up the order ¾! My fault at this point for not making them tear open the order and count every thing to make sure I got what I ordered. I have come up with a solution. I will get my chicken at Vons or Stater Bros from now on. They both actually make really great chicken most of the time. I will miss KFC so I will get it when I go to Palm Springs and bring it home if I have a craving. If you go to this KFC, expect a long wait potential and the order totally screwed up. Sad but true. Shame as I REALLY want to support a local business. It is the owner’s fault as I see there is a common theme with the complaints and nothing has changed. Guess he/she does not need the business. Must have made their money already and no longer care. Too bad.

Wow, where to begin… Not only did I have to wait about twenty minutes for my food however, the gentleman taking my order f*cked it up about seven and a half times when repeating it to me. Then once we got it hashed out face to face when I got home it was still f*cking wrong. Anyhow, I can’t stand coming here however, it is the ONLYKFC within miles and they know it and they don’t give a f*ck. Anyhow, I also dislike this place because I feel the prices are higher and the quantity served is lower. The only decent thing here is the random eye candy that gets hired.

I would give no stars if I could. This is the worst kfc I’ve ever been to. They consistently drop the ball. Drive through time is the longest of anywhere in town. They only give sauce and napkins on request. Portions are smaller than any other kfc franchise and the quality sucks unless you specifically state that you want a «good looking meal», like meaty chicken, etc… Also, the staff seems to lack the necessary training… They forget things and mess up the order absolutely EVERY time. Although, they are always happy to correct the mistake, and apologize, it’s very annoying when they don’t get it right the first time. Bottom line, this place really needs a turn around ASAP!

THISPLACESUCKS! I’ve had nothing but horrible food and experiences from this place. I don’t think it’s the establishment itself but I think it’s the people who work at this location. I’m the type of person that will give a couple chances to see if it was a fluke or off day. Not at this KFC! I consistently get dried out chicken and one time we got undercooked chicken. Oh! And some how they always, I MEANALWAYS, leave something out from my order. Time and time again I think«maybe it won’t happen this time» but I’m just going to avoid this place from now on.

I was on my way to Twentynine Palms and was dying for some KFC chicken strips so I stopped at this KFC. The restaurant is nice inside and the workers were one of the friendliest group that I’ve run into at a fast food restaurant. I actually met the owner of this KFC who was working behind the counter, good guy. I like it when I go into a place and you get the meet the person that owns it; seems to be happening more now a days. Anyways, food was hot and good. Nothing beats that KFC taste.
