What happened to Twist?!? It seems that the manager Maria is gone, hopefully to another location because she knows how to run a store! This place has slipped in service and quality control. I’m moving on also and won’t be back at Twist.

My daughter is obsessed with this place, but it’s a treat for all of us. :)

It’s a good treat! You get to choose from numerous varities of ice cream and frozen yogurt, then there is a massive toppings bar. You can create just about anything. They charge by weight, so be careful as you load up on all those delicious toppings. Make sure you get your punch card!

my family and I love going to twist in Yorktown. the service is fabulous it’s a very clean place and I like how they stream pictures of locals enjoying the frozen yogurt… the one thing that has stopped us from frequenting it as much as we used to is that it’s just too pricey.

the yogurt is good, however customer service is not. Specifically one employee, older woman, who is neither polite or friendly. god forbid you show up 10 minutes before they close, you’ll get shunned at the door. she should be welcoming to customers and never turn customers away! turn off. still love the yogurt tho.

My family keeps touting Aunt Bees in Somers and in all fairness I haven’t been there yet. Just to annoy my people I decided to declare Twist the best frozen yogurt in the area. They had chopped rainbow cookies as a topping, along with chocolate pretzels, Reeses Pieces and tons of others. The vanilla yogurt tasted like ice cream to me, a good thing. The only other frozen yogurt place I’ve been to is TCBY, which is unacceptable. Maybe I’ll try Aunt Bees in the future, then again maybe I won’t. I’m happy with Twist.

I hate to be repetitive, but like several other Unilocalers, I’m tired of paying $ 6+ for a cup of frozen yogurt. It’s always clean and neat and it’s great to be able to get samples(I think lots of ice cream shops are doing it too) of new flavors, but those huge cups make it hard to estimate the amount of «stuff» you’re going to pay for. And for those who haven’t been here, parking can be a challenge as can getting out to head East.

Quiet on a Saturday night at 9pm. The frozen yogurt was pretty good. They had a no-sugar-added flavor. The place seemed clean. I’m happy for any option available for frozen yogurt in Northern Westchester.

I have experienced my fair share of self-service frozen yogurt shops where you pay per ounce so the novelty of this sort of thing has worn off for me. However, I gave Twist a shot. I must agree with a previous Unilocal reviewer… they offer one ginormous cup and it takes an incredible amount of will power to not fill the entire thing! After adding all the yummy toppings, you will definitely be scooping out at least $ 10+ for frozen yogurt. This must be every parent’s nightmare! I do appreciate the samples cups they offer so you can taste all the different flavors. They have a variety of toppings and it does not cost extra to add fresh fruit which is a bonus since many frozen yogurt places charge extra.

I feel like such a dissenter, but I’ve seen my share of these kinds of places, and Twist is definitely good, it’s just not out of this world amazing. The place is very clean and bright, which is always a good sign. The staff was also friendly, and I appreciated the sample cups that were provided so we could make a decision about which flavors to get. There were also tons and tons of toppings options. However, they only provide one GIANT cup size, and with the way ice cream is usually served, you feel like you have to fill it. This, of course, causes you to fill it with yogurt and toppings and when you get to the register — bam! — you have a $ 7 or $ 8 cup of frozen sugar. And while icy treats are delicious, no cup of glucose is worth that much. The pricing and deceptive cup sizes really put me and my companions off.
