The restaurant is okay. Nice guac. Food is very average. You can easily make better food at home. People working here are rude Mexicans or Puerto Ricans, especially the managers. Servers are okay. Best advice: try the drinks and guac. Avoid talking with the people there(they gossip). Especially don’t have high expectations on customer service.

The margaritas are great and the menu is huge, albeit a little on the pricey side. My friend ordered a combo plate and I ordered La Flaca salad, and when I opted not to add protein(for an additional price) I could sense the waiter’s displeasure, which was uncomfortable. The salsa was good but the chips were a little on the greasy side. The lunch menu is a smaller representation of the menu with lower prices, which I would recommend over paying full price for dinner.

Totally gross and disgusting. The staff is nice but the food was terrible. Pretty sure they used sliced american cheese in my chicken quesadillas. We also ordered chicken enchiladas and they had ZERO flavor. Was like eating soggy cardboard. We ended up having to go somewhere else for dinner #2 because we were still hungry and wanted to get the blah taste out of our mouth. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Pros: Burrito San Jose. «Crazy» Margarita. Giant 32oz draft beers. Cons: 16 bucks for a margarita? Stale Chips and mediocre salsa. Full review: I go to Plaza Azteca about once a week(on pay day so I can afford the overpriced margaritas… kidding). The bartenders are all very nice, with a special shout out to Camille, she’s the best. I always order the burrito san jose, so I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but it’s consistently good. The texture of the filling(chicken, sausage, rice, and beans) is perfect and it is topped with a savory queso sauce. This place is good for lunch, drinks, or a casual dinner. They also seem to cater to larger groups pretty well.

Save the San Jose Burrito is really good officially goes down crate with the Tecate or their Margaritas! It brings back the days of Tijuana! The food is very good! The waitstaff are friendly too! I will come back!

We came here again the other night to have dinner. I ordered the enchiladas and they were extremely good. The chicken was definitely not dry like the previous visit. I have to say, they definitely redeemed themselves and I’m happy about it. I do like this restaurant a lot. The previous visit here must have been an off night as I have been in here plenty of times and always have been served a good meal.

Great place, staff is Friendly. Portions are big, the piña colada is so good. The burritos have a lot of meat. Sometimes they take long. For a food chain restaurant is pretty decent! Good atmosphere.

Not fully impressed. Service was very slow, they brought me the wrong meal, then charged me for the wrong meal and my actual meal. Only reason I have it at 3 stars is because the food was great and the manager was consistently checking in after knowing something was wrong at my table.

For starters, DONOTMAKE A RESERVATIONHERE! I made a reservation for a surprise birthday dinner for 13 people days in advance only to check in with the hostess that said,“It will be about a ten to fifteen minute wait.” Okay, no problem I guess. I understand if a restaurant is busy and do not mind waiting. Fifteen minutes passed and we were still not seated. Management then comes over and proceeds to tell me,“You have to wait 10 – 15 minutes even if you have a reservation because we do not know if you are coming, so we do not reserve you a table until you come in.” Why won’t the establishment call to confirm reservations then? This defeats the purpose of even making a reservation! This also eliminated the whole surprise for the birthday boy. In total, we ended up waiting fifty five minutes before being sat. Three desserts on the house for waiting almost an hour? Ehhh, I guess the kids enjoyed it. Service was good, my margarita was watered down and not tasty, and food was average. Nothing special and I probably won’t be back for a while… if ever.

EATHERE. Great service, great experience. My 13 year old son earned a special dinner after a successful violin concert. He wanted Mexican. There was a Texas Roadhouse next door. I did kinda want steak. I told him we would check the reviews. One after the other the reviews for Azteca were horrible. Bad service, bad food, bad everything. He still wanted it. We went in and ate. I was stunned. We had drinks in less then two minutes after sitting down. Our food was placed and out within 15, if that. Not cold, not dry, not without flavor. Gourmet? No. But how do you make refried beans gourmet? Mexican rates pretty low on my, «be dazzled» expectation meter. But it was prepared in a very attractive manner. A+ for effort on this one. Top of the list? The service. We were attended to with service expected at four star. Drinks refilled without a hint. Letting us know he would be back in just a minute or two and. .. .. .. On and on. The service was spectacular. I left an extra large tip just to try to counter any business that may have been lost through bad review fallout. Great, great evening. Thanks guys.

been here quite a few times for the tuna tacos and beerita! not sure if they still have the tuna tacos, but those were surely bomb. seared tuna with the amazing white sauce. man, i gotta say, those beeritas are humongous and STRONG! and for the price, they’re totally worth it. it’s always a good time at plaza azteca.

Usually, I do not write bad reviews but this time is different. To give you a little background on the situation, My friend and I went to this restaurant for dinner. We’re both from India and we do look very Indian. Unlike most recent immigrants from India, we do eat beef. We were seated at a table and only just handed menus that we were going over, when our server came along and asked us if we needed some time to decide and we did. He started telling us all these vegetarian options that they offer without us asking anything about it. Later we placed our orders and I wanted to try their combo with a chicken enchilada and beef tacos. He then tried to confirm that I was ok with the beef without actually asking me about it. He reconfirmed the order again and again. When our food finally came out, he told me that he changed the order to chicken tacos all by himself since he wasn’t sure if I said I wanted beef or not WITHOUT asking me if it was ok. I pointed out that he never asked me about it. I get it. people forget and you’d rather be safe than sorry. But this was the limit! He asked me if I wanted the tacos changed but I said no. I know they would have thrown out those tacos if I ordered something else and I don’t like to waste food. I obviously have some complaints about this experience. I did not hear him talk about the menu with other customers the way he did with us. I am not sure if they’ve had a bad experience with some people who’ve complained about beef in their food. If that was the case, a simple question would have been enough… ‘Would you be ok with beef?’ That’s all that’s really needed. The food was really ok. but my sense of taste was taken over by utter disgust for this kind of disrespect. We did leave him a lower tip than usual though.

I absolutely love this place!!! Where do I start?! The staff is so welcoming and really attentive. As soon as you walk in the door they great you with a warm Mexican Hola Amigos! For an appetizer I always always get the table side guacamole. You can get it made however you like it so it’s perfect! They just got a whole new menu for their famous margaritas! With out a doubt I always get a jumbo Pomegranate Margarita which is so delicious! My go to for dinner is the chimichanga meal. It comes with your choice of beans or rice both are to die for! The chimichanga is draped with this amazing cheese sauce that I would eat as a meal itself! Every time I go there(which is quite often) I always walk away with a smile and a full belly! Hands down everyone needs to go here!

Friendly staff, delicious chips and salsa, alright food, and a SLOW kitchen. To start our waitress(Mimi) and the managers were all extremely friendly and very helpful but sometimes it felt like a bit much. Mimi was awesome, took our orders without writing anything down and got it all right. She was very talkative, in a good way, and made the experience a lot of fun. In what I assume was no fault of hers, the dinner took two and a half hours from start to end and she repeatedly checked on us. That said, it felt a bit over bearing when all three managers(I think) came over repeatedly and asked how everything was going even though we hadn’t received our food yet. I think in total we were asked«how is everything tonight?» 8 – 10 times. The chips. Because dinner was taking so long they kept bringing more and more chips. Our table probably went through one and a half bowls per person. They were good but we just wanted to eat our meals which seemed to never come. The reason this review is 3⁄5: the kitchen was so slow! We were there at 6pm on a Sunday and the place was not busy. Once we ordered drinks it took about 15 minutes for them to arrive. The food took much longer, 5 meals should not take over an hour to prepare. It’s really unfortunate because I would rate this much higher had we been able to do what we had gone there for: to eat.

The only other PA I’d visited before is the one in Manchester CT. It was ‘okay’. This was far better. The Pomegranate Margarita was delicious. Chips were good, salsa fresh and loaded with cilantro, loved it. Ordered the Baja Fish Tacos, which were very good. The waiter brought me a dish of hot sauce that was killer, plenty of heat and tasted great to boot. I’ll definitely go back.

I really like the way this place was set up. It was big, but didn’t feel too big. The chairs were these awesome heavy things that I loved, buuuuut it created a problem when you wanted to adjust the chair ever so slightly. I thought the margarita(I got the house) were perfect. And boy did they have a margarita menu! My food was good, but a little«middle of the road» in the sense that I could have gotten the enchiladas that I had anywhere. Nothing really stood out about them, and come to think of it, the same goes with the rest of the menu. There was nothing that jumped out that I thought«wow! I have to try that! I’ve never seen anything like it!» Solid place for Mexican food when in the area. p. s. I have expressed my love for table side guacamole, and this place was no different. Totally worth your money.

I came to this restaurant after church. This place is well lit and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I had the Ranchero Special and it was really good. I will recommend that dish to anyone who like chicken, steak, and enchiladas. The chips and salsa they give you is really good as well. I will definitely come back.
