Ordered the pancit and it smelled and tasted like there was rotten meat or veggies in it! Won’t be coming back!

I come here almost everyday, uni-Mart has in my opinion bar none the best selection of Filipino food, filipino deserts and the most personable employees. And now they have Filipino beer! Woo hoo! A genuine taste of home that’s only a 20 min drive away from the house. well worth my drive!

Omg, I finally found a place selling Puto Leche. It is the colorful type of Puto I have been looking for since I came back from the Philippines. This Unimart also have coconut macaroons. So delicious and sweet.

So this place is a small little market, but what stands out is the Filipino food bar and the Chinese restaurant. You can get a pretty good lunch for about $ 6. If you are new to Filipino cuisine, this is a good way to try some of the food. I haven’t had any issues with service, everyone has been friendly both on the market side and the food side. It’s a little bit of a trek for lunch but still worth it once in a while.

The market itself has actually been renovated recently and looks pretty good! It even has produce now, which is awesome. Both the grocery section and the prepared foods options have expanded in offerings, and there’s an outdoor patio set up in the back for summer dining al fresco. The carry-out is great and I actually didn’t notice any issues with service at all. If you asked me a couple of years ago, I would totally agree with the other reviewers on this post but I came home just recently after moving away from the area for a while and was pleasantly surprised!

very dirty, unsanitary, and spoiled rotten food being served i ordered fish soup and the lady at carry out was very very unprofessional and rude. i ordered 3 kinds of dishes and told me that i was confusing her and rolled her eyes at me. there was a strand of hair in my soup, the rice smells spoiled and vegetables appear to be very old and rotten. the cashier girl went out and took her 30 minutes to come back. i waited 30 minutes and no one checked me out. i was forced and told to wait. no apologies, everyone was just staring at me rolling their eyes they dont greet customers, they roll their eyes and they make you feel like a burden to them. the place smells like rotten food and the staff are all evil i will never ever go back here. this place needs to be shut down

What a bunch of crabby people in the carry out section! I hope the management teach them good customer service! Food is ok. Other Filipino stores are waaay better! Prices are a little higher compared to others around the area. Avoid this store if possible! Drive an extra mile or two to get to other Filipino stores with better food, prices and customer service. I give them 2 stars for a clean place and they have pretty good products.

When back in the western suburbs, I inevitably come here to pick up Filipino carry out or groceries. While they have great stuff, I hate coming here since you never know what to expect from the carry out staff in the back. They can be unbearably rude. We stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon when it was nearly an empty store. I had planned on calling in to order eggrolls, but they never picked up the phone over the 3 days prior. So I went in to order and wait for them. I know I am generally very friendly and patient, but I became very irritated when I was completely ignored, then skipped, then ignored again. I literally had to interrupt her to complete my order. I ordered ginataan and I had to ask several times for a spoon until she finally acknowledged me to give me one. Like she was doing me a favor by allowing me to order. The food is great, and I know from first-hand experience how tedious making these eggrolls can be. But to me, avoiding being treated like crap is worth the labor of making the eggrolls myself… and cheaper. Side note: The cashier is always really friendly which is a stark comparison to the carry-out staff.

Prices had gone up at least 3−4X but service went south. I feel like I owe them a favor for shopping there. Cooked food are old(left over especially the crab in coconut milk) and mostly spoiled. Good luck on your poor business practices. Hope nobody reports you to the health department for selling spoiled cooked food. This store does not deserve a star but will have to click on one to get posted
