First time patronizing at Island Cuisine… This restaurant seems to be a local franchise. We went to the Woodlawn location. Jerk chicken dish was great! Very plentiful and easily two meals. Would go again. *update* I would recommend carefully eating the chicken however, there were a few tiny bones in the dish that made it a bit unpleasant. I would still give this a 3 ½ to 4 based on taste.

This is the second time i’m patronizing this location… and i was hoping that the 1st time was just a fluke and the 2nd time they would redeem themselves. So i gave them the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong. First off, their food is wayyy to expensive for the portions u get. $ 27 for 2 dinners??? Are you kidding me? I ordered 2 dinners on this day, a curry goat dinner with rice and peas, and a curry goat roti. It took me 7 minutes to get home after i picked my order up. The goat is fairly ok, soft and tender, falls off the bone. Now the roti on the other hand was crispy by the time i sat down to eat… it was like i was eating doritoes and curry. Your not suppose to hear crunchy noises when ur eating roti… it was just unedible. Couldnt even finish my food… it was so hard. Thank God i had some frozen roti in the fridge from the caribbean market, which was 10 times better than the roti from this place… please believe, i would not be buying food from here again… wasted my hard earned money… «If yuh cyah mek roti, doh sell it»

The food is OK… Over priced and it isn’t DELICIOUS; just ok. There are other places you can go to not too far away for better, tastier«Caribbean» cuisine.

As residents of a Caribbean Island, we were excited to try Island Quizine’s food. I have travelled often to Jamaica on business over the last 20 years and have lived full time in Puerto Rico for 14 years. We found the young lady at the counter of IQ to be very helpful in selecting dishes and she also provided some samples of unfamiliar foods for us to try. We particularly enjoyed the stewed goat — really exceptional in the way they cure and then stew the goat — which was fall apart tender and delicious. The Jam Jam Shrimp was delicious as well. We also filled up on great callaloo and ackee sides. We will most certainly return and my mouth is watering just writing this review!

They are very friendly and the establishment is clean ! It’s no way they are Jamaicans west indes or anything I’m so disappointed with the items as far is the taste goes I have been to Jamaica many times and the taste always varies. Not this much soon one with the correct descent needs to start cooking or they won’t last very long on sales.

The first time I went was around 2:40 pm, I ordered jerk chicken for ten whole dollars and changed. PLUSTAX. I got home and started to eat, I then chomped on the hardest bean in history. I realized it was a microwaved dish and was so disappointed.
