VIP Nail Salon

I am very thankful to Karen. She provided one of the best pedicures I have had. Very patient and thorough. If you are like me and have a chronic in grown nail problem then Karen is the women for you! The bomb!

Managed to get in and out in an adequate amount of time and they did an excellent job. They were very courteous and know what they are doing.

I’ve come to VIP nails a couple times because I like the people and I really want to have a good experience there but each time I go they disappoint me a little bit more.
They are quick and can get you seated usually without an appointment but the quality of work is really low. Saturdays are extremely busy and you won’t have a chance of getting it unless you call ahead of time.
They try to get people in and out so quickly that they don’t pay as much attention to your nails as I think they should. There are enough nail places in the Valley that you could find something better close by.

This is by far the worst manicure I have ever had.

She started off doing my nails fine. I like the way she shaped them. Then I noticed she was scraping half of my nail off. But I let her continue. During this time I was talking with my friend and was not really paying attention. I see her finishing up putting the nail polish on, when I noticed she missed half of my nail! When I pointed it out she said, «it’s ok». Which I replied, «no. It’s not ok!» She «re-​polished» my nails. And AGAIN did the same thing. She didn’t paint my whole nail!
As you can imagine, I was fuming. Finally I asked for some one else to polish my nails. But unfortunately nobody heard me because it was almost closing time and all the ladies who worked there started to have a dance party while cleaning the floors. They were screaming and laughing so loud not one heard me! FINALLY one lady saw how pissed I was and came over. Next thing I know I have 2 ladies working on me redoing EVERYTHING. While the other one watched speaking in her native language. (Clearly it was about me)
The 2 ladies finally finished my nails which looked descent. I wanted to sit for a minute to let them dry but why would that happen?!
I know it was the end of the day and they wanted to go home but what happens next really got to me! (As if the whole experience wasn’t enough) one lady picked my purse and said, «you go now» which resulted me into smashing a nail. I asked her to fix it and she said, «NO! I can’t do it now, come back tomorrow!» 5 other ladies were standing there!
Seriously! I have had some bad manicures before but this tops it all!
Think twice before stepping foot into this place. Over priced and plain rude customer service! It was a first and last time for me!

This is the worst place ever!!! Do not go here!!! The rudest people!!! The worst service!!! The manager should be fired!!! Take your money somewhere else!!!

THEY WILL RAISE THE PRICE AFTER THEY START WORKING ON YOUR NAIL: walked in this store on Sunday morning to acrylic fill my nails. There is a guy working there came and looked at my nails and told me $ 20. At middle of the job during removal of nail polish, he said you have to pay $ 28! When I asked about the price rais, he said «it is a lot of work!!» Although he had looked at my nails before starting the job. This a way they make more money off of the customers. I did refuse to continue and left the store but I guess there are some customers that they accept since they raise the price in the middle of the job.

Horrible stay away! They don’t cut cuticles, they filed all of my nails unevenly, and they can’t even put nail polish on it was all so sloppy. I had to tell the lady 10 times I wanted all my nails to be even and she cute each one differently and couldn’t even file correctly. My nails look like I got them done weeks ago and I just got them done a day ago. Don’t waste your money on this place, mind you I even had to file my own nails because she didn’t understand anything. So I paid to basically to my own nails. I could’ve done a better job at home by myself.

I came once a long time ago to get a full set, the white tip acrylic nails were in, you know the ones that are already white so you don’t have to have them painted on. Well I went in and asked if I could have that, since I had been getting it in my usual nail solon. What a surprise, they didn’t have it. I ended up getting a regular set and adding nail polish. Might not be horrible, but come on, if something is popular, have it as well. I am sure I am not the only asking for something that is trending.
My coworker had a horrible experience, since it was not mine I will not tell it BUT I decided to not go to them for nails anymore. However, I do still go for eyebrow waxing.
The waxing is… eeehh ok, not the best but not the worst either. I usually get done by an older lady. Now I don’t know if I am the only one but I hate it when they shave the eyebrow area. To me that is lazy and it doesn’t last long. If you want to take off some hair, re-​wax the small area OR pluck! I pay for that service, you know? The woman always gives me a bit of an attitude when I say «Please no shave» like If I am making her go through a mission for me.
The only reason I go is because I work like, right next door but they are definitely my last resort… oh and they are a bit pricey too. I don’t mind spending money on myself but why spend $ 8 or $ 9 dollars (because the price ALWAYS changes) when I can pay $ 7 for excellent service and quality work? I usually go to Jane Dynasty Nails on Crenshaw and Imperial, or Western Nail Salon on Western and 107^th street, both are a little farther from here but they are my first choices.

Ugh I don’t know why I came back here! After my last experience I said «never again» but it’s right next door to where I wax so I decided to give them another try. The technician was so rude and so put out that I wanted to see how a color looked on my nail, he complained that I like my acrylics short, and he tried to charge me for a new nail I didn’t need since my nails are so short! Never again! I’ll stick to my regular spot… CQ Nails in Calabasas.

WORST NAIL PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO! Had no regard for my nails, and no time to even say hello. They rushed through our entire manicure and failed to do a good job. They did not paint all the way to the sides of our nails, didn’t clean up excess nail polish on skin, if she messed up she just put a dot over HER mistake, and finally didn’t even bother to file my nails the way I asked. The polish was thick, lumpy, and poorly executed. Overall, i would never go back there again.
INSTEAD you should go somewhere that actually does a good job. Not to a place that rushes and makes your nails look even worse. HORRIBLE!

I actually wish I can give 0 stars. Half of my one toenail didn’t even have nail polish. One of worst nail salons in the area!

This b**** wanted to charge me $ 13 just to put some top coat on my nails… haaa sike. I’ll just go buy a bottle (the best) for $ 6 and save my time. Give me a break, I’ll at least fork some $$ for good service but the attitudes here are ridiculous.

my new favorite nail salon I’ve ever been to! I’ve been here numerous times and each time I am always impressed with their work! I’ve never made an appointment and I’ve always been helped immediately upon entering their salon. the girls here make cleanliness a priority (which is not the case for most nail salons in the LA area). they use an orange scrub that feels and smells fabulous! my favorite part of my pedicure is the hot towel they use at the end… so relaxing!

I am giving it a 1 star rating, I know they talked mega crap about me in Vietnamese while they fixed their botched gel manicure, (Tina did the manicure). I literally had my nails done a week ago. I also came in the next Saturday and I was going to say something, but it was really busy and didn’t want to ruin everyone else’s nail experience. Cuz that’s annoying.
But the skinny guy (he did the pedicure)…, what a space case! He kept looking around while he was doing my feet yesterday and I didn’t say anything but the pictures prove that he is maybe in the wrong profession. Not only is the nail polish not shiny, he failed to go over the sides with remover as most professional nail salons perform and did not file or shape my nails. $ 30– total for the extra callous remover. It looked like me trying to do my toes before I got to sleep. Lol that’s why I went to the nail salon though and it wasn’t done right and now I am out about $ 70 plus $ 5 tips. I will not return to this place and I don’t recommend you do either! Way to get stiffed!
I have received plenty of mani /​pedis is my time and this was not only embarrassing because I did go back and ask for the gel to be removed otherwise other salons will charge to remove if they didn’t do it. Sucks that they speak in another language in front of other patrons, it’s obvious they are talking about people and RUDE. My Vietnamese friend told me they totally talk crap… Bad for business

If I could say zero I would! I’m a regular pedicure goer and I really needed a quick pedi during my lunch. So I decided to try this place out. I got a pedi and polish change. Let’s just put it this way… I felt like a 5 year old cut my nails and put polish.
My hands were cut slanted and had nail polish on the sides.
My toes are cut uneven and all cuticles were uncleared. SO MAD since my toes also hurt !!!
I hope the manager reads this and comments me back. Your staff members are not up to par and I will never return again.
Save your money!

Not enough colors. Their selection is limited, old and outdated
Wait till you show them a design you saw, asking them if they can do it, she asks her, she asks him and he asks the manager… prices are thrown in the air, then they argue. They walk back and forth and come tell you: «you want design, I do for you, extra $ 15 ok?»

Honestly, it’s hard to mess up a pedicure…
But this place gets 5 starts because the ladies work there are really nice and the message chairs are AMAZING. It’s a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.

Went to get a French manicure. The girls are not nice. They rush you out and 3 of my nails chipped the same day!

Laura is amazing. She is attentive and picky about her work. She is professional and does a really meticulous job. After 28 yrs of getting manicures and picking at them as soon as I leave– Laura is the first person that has done such an amazing job that I havent picked at my nails. If you want something different or a certain way — be specific and she’s very intuitive and goes with what you say. She’s the best! I will never go to anyone else
