Natalie’s Hair & Nail Studio

I’ve been there twice. I thought the owners name was Natalie but it’s Leila or something… she never explained why she said her name was Natalie when I called to make the appointment. Both times she cut my hair great but both times the color was awful. I had highlights put in. The first time, she took a very long time and did not color it close enough to the root. When I called her 4 ½ weeks later and said it already looked grown out, she said that was normal. Mind you, I’ve been having my hair done for years. I know my color will usually last 6 – 8 weeks! I gave her another shot. The day I went in, she was having personal issued, rushed through my coloring. Three days later, I notice a large dark spot right in the front of my hairline that she missed. Cheaper than most places but not worth it and like others have said there is no free parking. I’d go back to her for a cut and that is all.

I went to get a shellac manicure the other day. Natalie herself did my manicure. I appreciate the fact that when I called to make the appointment, she informed me that she had a limited selection of colors. That being said, the manicure itself was mediocre at best. My cuticles removal wasn’t very thorough and my nails still lot a bit shabby. To be honest, Natalie doesnt really seem like a professional manicurist and the whole manicure itself sort of looks like I did it myself. On the plus side, it was only $ 20, which is about 6 dollars less than what I usually pay.
Probably wont go back. I prefer a higher quality job.

Okay, not sure which salon the two ladies who wrote bad reviews went to, but it definitely wasn’t the Natalie’s Hair and Nail Studio that I went to. Natalie is super sweet, super professional and does a great job! We started going there for Lana’s Shellac manicures– and she is the BEST manicurist in LA, hands down. So sweet and does such a great job at the best price you can get. Love love love her. And since then my mom and I have been going to Natalie’s for everything from Brazilian Blowouts to highlights to eyebrow waxing, and she does a great job. She has great taste and she knows hair pretty well, and it shows. We’ve never been happier with a hair stylist.
A trek from the Westside to this salon is SO worth it. Thank you Lana and Natalie!

Lana is an amazing manicurist! She has the best deal in town (ANY town) on Shellac… $ 20 and it’s $ 5 off for your first time! Most places charge $ 40 and up for this. She is super sweet and attentive and uses all CND products. I had this done once by someone else and they did a terrible job. She is the best!

This place was shady from the start. They were advertising a really great deal on a brazilian blowout so we went in to check it out– we should have known from the beginning. We began talking to Natalie, the owner, and she was already trying to sell us stuff. We decided to go ahead and give it a try, so we scheduled an appointment.
Our appointment was for 3:30 pm on Saturday. She called my sister and told her «I got my schedules confused, are you coming in on Friday?» My sis corrected her and then she asked my sister «Can you come in at 2:00?» My sis obliged for the both of us which meant that I had to break plans. I figured, «Oh well, a good Brazilian blowout is worth it.»
We got down there right on time and she seemed kind of annoyed by our presence. She’s like, «I’m running late, come back in a half an hour.» We both thought, «thanks for the call!» Any ways, I called in to see if they were ready for us. They were, so we proceeded back down the hill.
Upon arriving they were like, we can only do one of you at a time. It was annoying because had we known we had two separate appointments I wouldn’t have broken plans & we would have taken both of our cars. I let my sis go first and they told me «Yeah, you can come back in an hour.» I decided to leave because their techno was too loud and there was some strange stylist on the couch braiding a mannequin head’s hair.
About 10 minutes after I left I suddenly got a call from my sister saying «Come and get me.»
It was so bad– the way they treated her– that she just up and left. Trust me, there is NO DEAL GOOD ENOUGH TO WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS CIRCUS SIDESHOW! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this sketchy cast of characters.
