My hair dresser for over a year is Nikki. Nikki does an amazing job on my hair cuts, color and is always flexible and gives plenty of time for what is needed. The above review on Nikki is so wrong! Never in MILLION years could that occurred. Makes me wonder if the client had unrealistic expectations and perhaps seeking financial gain. As an attorney I find the statements might rise to many issues. I can tell you Nikki is an excellent and professional hair dresser.

This review is based on the experience of my little sister who has been anticipating dying her hair for many months.
Her hair stylist’s name is Nikki. After getting a hair dye and cut, my sister was not impressed with the look she got. After a few days, my sister texted Nikki asking for a tone because it didn’t match any of the reference photos my sister showed Nikki. Apparently Nikki’s phone was broken or ‘acting up’ but all messages were successfully delivered.
Nikki apologized for the ‘miscommunication’ one week later with plenty of reminders and welcomed my sister back to her salon. My sister told me that Nikki seemed extremely upset, but of course trying to hide it.
As Nikki was handling my sisters hair, she pulled it with extreme force. My sister explained the pain as if she was about to start shaking. Nikki then proceeded to make a mess with splashing water everywhere because apparently she was in a ‘rush.’ Nikki also called my sister ‘skanky’ delivered in a tone that was supposed to be made as a joke, but my sister later realized it wasn’t funny at all.
My sister asked Nikki on her first appointment, «What do you do if a customer gets you mad?» Nikki’s response is, «The only thing I could do is pull their hair.»
I really didn’t want to leave this review, but wow, just beware! If you don’t have many hairs left on your head, please don’t let Nikki pull it all out from you.
Oh, by the way, my sister paid $ 100+ for this experience.

Just got my haircut by Hal and he did such a fabulous job! I have difficult curly hair to cut, and he knew exactly what my hair needed and gave me a cut with great volume and shape, plus he’s super cool to talk to and very down-​to-​earth, all in a gorgeous space. Great prices too! This place… an Hal ROCK! I’ll definitely be going back and recommending him. P. S. he has a lot of experience, so don’t be scared to try someone new if this is your first time.

we were visiting from out of town for a wedding and had the best experience ever. there were for of us doing up-do’s and Nikki and Debbi did a great job and got our hair done in-​time even though were running late. We’ll definitely be back to visit when were in So Cal. and the whole time we had a great time talking to Hal. everyone was very friendly. Also, Nikki was really nice and put my fake lashes on for me and taught me how to put them on if I ever wanted to try it myself. Thank you salon M for our beautiful do’s and excellent customer service.

I come here at least once a month for either a trim or a blow dry and straightening. I have ethnic hair so I have extremely tight curls. I won’t let anyone else touch my hair but Nikki. She knows exactly what I want and how to do my hair and what my hair needs. Nikki also always finds time to fit me in her busy schedule. The rest of the staff there is also very nice. Nothing but laughs in that salon. I highly recommend coming here. Not to mention prices are very affordable.

A friend recommended this salon, specifically w/​Nikki. I have curly hair & my hair was a hot mess when I walked in. Lo & behold Nikki did an amazing job at cutting & layering my curls, her skilled hands brought bounce & life back to my curls… she seriously revived my curls! I love how my hair looks & feels; Nikki listened to my needs & did wonders w/​my hair. The salon is very cute & the other people working there were very friendly & welcoming; it’s a wonderful ambiance. I highly recommend Nikki!!!

In town for a couple months and staying in the area, I sought out the elusive $ 30 — $ 40 men’s haircut ($ 35 here). Hal did an excellent job figuring out what I was looking for, and was a joy to chat with.
Will absolutely be returning.

My daughter and I have been going to Marie for many years — she’s a perfectionist, and everyone who walks out of the salon looks fabulous! The salon has a great atmosphere, terrific location, and good parking — I’d never go to anyone else!

Gloria dyed my hair last October and the hair color was amazing. I’m back to touch up roots but, I decided to go lighter. I’m loving the doo, Gloria will never disappoint. She’s my personal favorite and go too for a hairy emergency.

I went here to get all over color to get rid of my grown out highlights. Not only did Hal do a wonderful job with the color but he was so hilarious and fun to chat with. It’s a small place and everyone was super friendly. Amazing customer service, great prices and beautiful hair!

I came to this salon to see Gloria she came recommend by my friend. She worked my hair she was the best!!! My hair was a wreck coming in and she brought it back to life. Thank you so much I will definitely come back!!! Everyone was funny wonderful.

Found the salon on Unilocal and decided to give them a try. Nikki was my stylist. She was nice. I got a shampoo, cut and blow dry. For the styling– I wanted volume and to bump up my hair. Unfortunately, the bumping up flattened out rather quickly. :(
They are open on Sunday when other salons are closed. I parked at a meter (free on Sunday).

Nikki is my gal there and she’s a magician! Best color, cut and blow dry! I can’t recommend her any higher! If I could give more stars I would!

I live in sf. Needed a haircut when in la. Hal fit me in… so happy. Nikki did my hair and its not an exaggeration to be saying that I will be flying here every 3 mos to go to MY NEW STYLIST!

I have gone to Mari for years now and would not trust anyone else with my hair! Each and every time I get a new cut and color it ALWAYS turns out just the way I hoped it would, and even better! Mari is awesome at what she does and really makes it a point to have a good relationship with her clients. I also have a lot of trust in her because she would NEVER let me leave the salon looking bad :) I’m am so thankful to have such a talented, caring, sweetheart as my lovely stylist!
P.S Ladies !!! She has a true gift for up-​dos!
