I was warned by the gentleman behind the counter that the Turkey and Gouda panini is a little hit-or-miss — some people love it, and some think it’s too strong. Lucky for me, I fell in the love it category! The gouda was sharp and strong, which made a nice accompaniment to the deli turkey. The sandwich was also huge, definitely more than one person should eat. Almost two meals for $ 7 — amazing. The shop itself is small, with a few tables in and outside. It’s more like a mini-mart in that it sells lots of pastas and drinks, but happens to have an incredible deli inside. The man who helped me was friendly, served up a great sandwich, and seemed genuinely appreciative of the business. Support local business! Eat delicious Italian sandwiches!

Today was our first experience with Bella Deli. It’s such a pleasure to find this hidden gem! Why didn’t we find them sooner? I had the Caprese sandwich & my husband had the Parma sandwich. The bread is soooo fresh, the ingredients are obviously high quality, the price is very reasonable and the service is outstanding. Check it out; you won’t be disappointed.

Since it was time to be a restrictive eater, I opted for the Antipasto Salad. It was served on an oval plate, and although nicely displayed with salami, cheese, and peppers scattered on the top, it was not as practical for eating. He offered me another plate, but what would I have done with that? Sigh. Toss it, or bowl it so I can mix it up myself, please. Salad dressing came on the side, which made my predicament even funnier. It is a small shop, has lunch specials on sandwiches and a tiny store filled with Italian items. If I’m ever looking for something Italian, I’ll call them up and ask first — the variety wasn’t that wide to call it a supermarket. I’d try again with a sandwich as that seems to be the thing to eat there.

This should really be a 4.5. I love finding little hole in the wall places like this. Not only are their prices great, but their friendly service is unbeatable.

I always hold a special place in my heart for family-owned and operated businesses. Not only is Bella’s delicious, but it exudes family and comfort from every nook and cranny. Located in a pretty non-descript strip mall, you can tell Bella’s owners take great pride in their property. We walked in and were instantly impressed with the décor — they could have kept it simple or chintzy like many local delis, but such is not the case. The walls are adorned with Italian ads and imported Italian products that will instantly make your mouth water. Although it took a while to get our sandwiches, we really didn’t mind because a good deal of our time there was occupied by perusing the yummy products. While waiting we chatted with the guy behind the counter — we asked who owned the place and it turned out to be the man’s son who did. It was pretty charming that the father of the owner was willing to spend his Memorial Day(did I mention they were one of the only places open that day? Awesome!) helping out his son. He eagerly talked to us for a while as he made our sandwiches. On our way out we grabbed some Stevia sodas(they also have a great variety of unique, domestic products) along with our sandwiches. I got the prosciutto & eggplant parmesan sandwich. It was delicious! The spread was great, as was the focaccia bread. As much as I enjoyed the sandwich, I cannot wait to go back and try a different one. Yum! 5 stars for great service, accessible location, great décor for a hole-in-the-wall, excellent food, great products, and hosting a Unilocal deal! Love it. See you again soon, Bella’s!

Bella’s is a quick bite place that my boyfriend and I frequent. The sandwiches are delicious and a good deal. I have only ever tried to turkey breast, but my boyfriend is more adventurous and always enjoys what he orders. His son has even tried the salads and has liked them. The owner and his son are very friendly. They go out of their way to please the customer and make sure the order is correct. A few minor cons to the place… it’s in a busy mini mall, so parking is sometimes tight. They have a large selection of drinks, but a lot of odd stuff and the case seems to always be ½ empty. They only have a few tables. The biggest issue, is the way they make the sandwiches is time consuming and slow. Expect 5 – 10 min per sandwich wait. I have noticed that this is improving as they have now been open for awhile, but it could still be improved further.

I bought a couple of Groupons for this place and my niece and I decided to redeem one of them yesterday for an after-school lunch. Bella’s is a tiny place, with a small italian market. The shelves didn’t appear to be well stocked as merchandise was carefully spread out, but it was spotlessly clean. There were just 2 tables, so if you come in with a part of 5; one of you will wind up standing. They have a large menu considering how tiny the place is though, and we each enjoyed are sandwiches. My niece had a meatball sandwich($ 7.50) which served on an Italian roll(which is basically a french roll) with cheese and marinara. We both found it to be quite good. It was a decent size, but I would have been a little disappointed as I have come to expect meatball sandwiches to be over-stuffed. It was too much for an 8th-grade girl to handle though. I had a prosciutto panini($ 8.00) Provolone cheese, tomatoes and black olive spread. Which was also delicious, but again a little on the skimpy side. The prosciutto was fresh, and the olive spread was great, but the tomato was a little under-ripe. I was glad I had about a third of my niece’s meatball sandwich.

I work around the corner from this place on Canoga Ave and Erwin St and found out about this place through and boy am I glad I did. This place is great and the manager Eman was super friendly and helpful. They didn’t have any take out menus but he toook down my work number and emailed me over a copy. All the ingredients they use are fresh and taste amazing. If you’re in the area drop by and grab a sandwich.

Good hidden Italian sandwich shop with inventive and really good sandwiches. No where near me, but if I am in the area I will go back. Good prices too!

Just admit it. You cannot make a sandwich this good. Making a top notch sandwich is a fine art, and Bella’s has it down pat. The portions are like a European café, where the quality of the meat and the balance of the flavors is more important than the size. This deli is quaint and everyone there is friendly because it is a local secret. It may look like a little bit of a hole in the wall, but that what happens when you spend more on the food than the logos on the coffee cups.

I’ve been to this place several times, and hands down I think they have the best sandwiches in the WSFV. The sandwiches are delicious and portioned just right; not too big, not too small. The service is a bit slow, which is understandable considering the quality of the food they serve. All of the items on the menu are made to order with fresh ingredients. You can really tell that a lot of heart was put into these sandwiches. The owner and his assistant are extremely friendly. Want a sandwich? This is the place. Edit: They also sell whole meats and cheeses. Since they use the same meats and cheeses for the sandwiches, I assume they’re of good quality.

I love this place! The owner and his assistant are so genuinely friendly, and the imported meats and cheeses reel me in every time. I’ve tried the ham sandwich, the prosciutto, and the beasola on a french baguettes, and the burrata, and the flavor is absolutely addicting. They’re filling without leaving a weighed-down feeling, so I never feel guilty about eating out(though, I know it’s definitely not low-cal, haha.) I, along with my co-workers, are regulars at this tucked away gem; I just wish it was a wee bit cheaper(avg. $ 7 – 10.) But you gotta do what you gotta do for good Italian imports.

I read the previous review on this place, and I actually disagree. I would have given this Deli 5 stars if it weren’t for the slow service. The service was understandably slow for one man(presumably the owner) operating the Deli and the Market area. However, the sandwiches we ordered were definitely worth the wait. We ordered a Turkey Panini(on Foccacia rather than a baguette) as well as a Ceprese Sandwich(also on Foccacia). The mozarella for the Caprese was deliciously marinated in vinegar, and we added olive spread rather than just olive oil. The Foccacia was perfectly moist(as Foccacia has a tendency to dry out), and the tomatoes on both sandwiches were surprisingly fresh(haven’t found a nearby restaurant to have fresh tomatoes in months). We had expected the Turkey Panini to be the standard Turkey sandwich served grilled, but even the turkey was flavorful and moist(again, opposed to the dry turkey served most often). If the owner has the opportunity to hire a helping hand, I would gladly chenge my Rating to 5 stars. In addition, the gentleman working behind the counter was very friendly and obviously caring for his patrons. Since we had to wait a little bit, he gave us coupons for our next visit. Which will definitely be well spent.
