The Olive Branch Oil & Spice Company

I have been very satisfied with The Olive Branch Oil & Spice Company’s infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars and have purchased a number of bottles for myself and gifts. Unfortunately, the Proprietor would not replace a product that was clearly mislabeled.
During my last purchase, I bought several bottles of both olive oil and vinegar for gifts and myself. When I opened a bottle that was labeled Extra Virgin Olive Oil, I found it was balsamic vinegar. Since I knew I wouldn’t use the balsamic vinegar, I brought the bottle back to the Woodbury store (with label still intact and attached) on my next trip to the mall and explained the situation. The women, who’s name tag said Proprietor, asked several questions and then said she would provide a 15% discount on my purchase of a bottle olive oil. I asked if she could exchange the mislabeled bottle of balsamic vinegar, she said no because I opened the bottle and she could not use the product. I explain since the bottle was dark and it stated it was olive oil I had no reason to believe the contents was anything but olive oil until I opened the bottle. Unfortunately, the customer service deteriorated from there and the Proprietor didn’t have any solution other than for me to keep the bottle of vinegar and to provide me a 15% discount on the bottle of olive oil.

An amazing gem of a store that should be visited over and over! Bruce will walk you through sample after sample of the best olive oils and balsamic vinegar that can be found in the Twin Cities. They know where their oils come from and they are 100% authentic. Don’t be fooled by purchasing «extra virgin» olive oil at the grocery store… Buy from this shop and learn what real EVOO tastes like.

This place is phenomenal! Bruce, who I think is the owner, introduced me to my new favorite oil and vinegar combinations. But it’s not just oil, there are so many high end spices and products at reasonable prices. He even had exotic spices that I’ve always wanted like Szechuan pepper. I wanted to buy all the spices because they were so much fresher than what I buy at the grocery store. I will definitely be going back to enhance my regular weekly grocery shopping and will purchase gifts from this store in the future too. Very impressed!

What do I say about this little gem?!? Well I sometimes enjoy cooking and hosting for my friends and family and this place can make life and kitchen so much easier.
I walked in this store on a beautiful Thursday evening as I walked in I was greeted by the lady behind the desk. The first thing she did was to let me know that I could sample freely!
It took me a few minutes to register in all the goodies that surrounded me. After I took a round of this not too big store I began to sample and pick what I liked, the options were endless as you can see in my pictures.
I ended up choosing garlic chipotle barbecue lime sauce which I shall be using for marinating meats. I also picked two different extra virgin olive oils one is on infused with citrus habanero and the other was zesty onion both were my favorite picks for the day! I also got sweet potato penne which I am dying to use.
This place has a a a has a huge selection of infused extra virgin olive oils. They also have jams and honey, lots of herbs and spices, lots of sauces for cooking and grilling and a decent selection of pastas!
I had a fun time getting all these goodies and I shall be visiting them very soon!
