Hunan D’lite Restaurant

Don’t order from here. If you are in the mood for Chinese food go to the Chinese restaurant by the Lowes off Smoketown. This is the third time I have been there where they have charged my credit card twice for the same order. They argue with you for over 30 minutes even if you have the bank statement. It is absolutely ridiculous. The customer service is horrible.

Best Chinese food in Woodbridge. Friendly staffs. Best fried rice if you don’t feel like driving to falls church. Big portion. Lots of room for dine in. Good price

I hate to completely write a restaurant off, but my first experience will be my last from this restaurant. I am a person who firmly believes that if you mess up on the staple dishes e.g. General Tso’s chicken, you won’t do much better on anything else. I got General Tso’s chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, fried chicken, and shrimp toast. Not one item was even mediocre. The flavor on even the fried rice was off putting. I believe the shrimp toast had pork in it by the taste and grey colored ground meat inside. It was also somewhat slimy when I pulled it apart. I shutter at the thought. I picked up my food just to get a feel for the atmosphere. The place was empty which should have been a clear sign to run away. I just thought that I may have found a place that no one really knows about. There was a woman in the dining room, I think folding napkins. She wasn’t very warm in her welcome and I felt like I was bothering her by making her get up. It wasn’t me, it was her demeanor. I live walking distance from this restaurant and I drive by it everyday and sometimes I drive by and go to another restaurant all together. Never again will I waste my money.

i love this place really not bad for «american» chinese food. very friendly staff and food is fast, im glad that they have a website you can order from, makesthings much easier, i think its the best chinese place in woodbridge and the spring rolls are amazing!

We used to live this place! Ever since they got new owners, it is not good! Every time I order the chicken and broccoli it taste like it was cooked in fish! Maybe they cooked my chicken in the pan they cooked some fish in previously. Yuk! The Kung pow chicken lacks that special kick. Just blah!

This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for years. Try the hot & sour soup. New to the menu are Thai dishes.

Ordered online for carryout. Food was ready in 15 minutes.
We ordered Mango Chicken, Singapore Noodles and Tender Beef and Scallops. The portions were very generously sized. The Mango Chicken was quite tasty. It contained very thinly sliced white breast meat, crunchy carrots and snow peas. The mangoes tasted fresh rather than «canned» and the sauce was not too thick or too sweet. The Singapore noodles are good and the portion is large. The noodles were much better than the ones at PF Changs. The Beef and Scallops were cooked with broccoli, snow peas and mushrooms in a brown sauce and was quite good. We are looking forward to having this meal again tomorrow at lunch. Everyone ate their fill and we had plenty of left-​overs. I would definitely recommend Hunan D’Lite.

We come here for lunch all the time, the Thai fried rice is awesome! One of the best Chinese restaurants around.

Good Chinese Food. But they need to work on customer service on the phone. Multiple orders get written as pick-​up when I clearly tell them delivery. Its so frustrating because they do have good food.

I ordered the Mu shu chicken which «was» my favorite., under one of my pancakes i noticed something rather odd so I flipped it over. It was s steamed dead cockroach smashed into the pancake. I called them to tell them the problem, and the woman on the other line said «Oh sorry let me send some more pancakes». Um no thank you was my answer, I said I would like a refund that I would not want to eat anything else from there until they took care of their cockroach problem. Where she told me that she couldn’t do a refund and I was pretty much out of luck. I will not be buying from them again, I should call the health department on them that is disgusting and unacceptable.

Anytime I feel like eating Chinese food other than Panda Café in Springfield, I find myself at Hunan D’Lite in Woodbridge. Usually, Im at my cousins when we decide to order from Hunan. We usually get a Combination Fried Rice, Shrimp Fried Rice, Combination Lo Mein, order of wings and three orders of Crab Rangoon. The Fried Rice is amazing, the Lo Mein is good, wings are crispy and juicy and the Crab Rangoon is also amazing. All of their food is good but my absolute favorite is the Crab Rangoon, it is almosty crispy on the outside and very creamy and full of flavor on the inside. Everytime time that we have ordered from Hunan D’Lite, our order has always been correct. They have great service and are very punctual, when they say the order will be ready in 10min, it’ll be ready in 10 or less. When I don’t feel like eating at Panda Café, which is unusual for me, The only other, and I mean only, Chinese food restaurant I will ever go to is Hunan D’Lite. Too bad the closest one is in Woodbridge for me, or else I would go there more often. On the other hand, they are always definitely worth the drive.

I’m not usually one to complain about places on review boards but I’m at my wits end with this place. I have been going to and ordering from this restaurant for over 2 years but the last 4 times I have ordered from them things have been screwed up.
Once my friend went to pick up our order and when he got back to the house the restaurant called to ask if we planned on picking up our order, when I said we already had she hung up. After looking in the bag I realized they gave us the wrong order. I called back to let them know, she told me that it was my «husband’s» fault for not knowing my number (he knows it) and to bring the food back. Ok big problem already, don’t blame the customer and why do you want the food back? Do they really intend on serving food I’ve had in my possession to someone else? Gross! So we take it back and get our bag, get home and his Orange Chicken is actually General Tso’s! So I call back to let them know and she proceeds to tell me «it’s the same chicken just different taste» Yes ma’am that would be the point, otherwise you would just put chicken on the menu and I would hope it’s a taste I like!
Skip forward to today… Order the lunch specials, they show up with no soup or egg roll. Not really that big of a deal but that’s what I ordered and that’s what I want. So we call and the lady again argues that she knows who I am and it would have been right but my «husband» (apparently all men that she talks to are my husband) ordered and said blah blah lunch special and not the number. During this conversation of all their current downfalls she hangs up on me twice! Still apparently my fault! To add insult to injury, I have no soup and no spring roll and I’m still hungry because my «chicken» curry was 80% onion… Never going back!
