Eh the food was okay but the fries tasted like tostitos tortilla chips scoops. Just lidding I love the food!

My mother and I are always up for an Applebee’s trip — we enjoy the quality food, great prices and good service and it was SOUNFORTUNATE to have a bad experience at the Woodbridge Commons location after having a life long streak of great experiences at other locations. The food and prices were amazing as usual, however, our serve had the worst attitude I have ever encountered in a restaurant ! Mind you — I’ve worked in the food service industry for at least six years, and my servers negative attitude, indifferent demeanor, NO regard for our requests(not that we had many more, we are easy diners!) was appalling! That they even let someone with such an attitude work as a food server at a corporately owned restaurant is BAFFLING!!! Do yourself a favor to avoid this location altogether and go get yourself some great food at a great price ALONGWITH great service at another Applebee’s.

My mother and I came here the other day for lunch 12÷28÷15 we got the 2 for $ 20 deal. They should have more choices. The waiters name was Chris and he seemed like we were a bother to him. He was annoyed for whatever reason and could care less about us. The diet coke was all watered down. The riblets were okay. I liked the spicy Chile sauce. The rice tasted like dirt. Yuck and The coleslaw was awful. My mom got some chicken dish and her rice tasted just as gross. I’ve been here many times in the past and never had such a bad experience before. It’s a shame. I tipped the waiter a nice tip and when I said keep the change he never said thank you or have a nice day. Sad to say that I probably won’t be back anytime soon

This has to be the worst restaurant chain in existence. Starts from the hostess too busy flirting with an older man to acknowledge people standing in front of her. Were taken to our table. To make a long story short. Our salads came out with out entrees. The table that ordered after us had their appetizers before our salads ! Maybe I’m wrong but salads then entrée. It’s called courses. Waiter said oh guess it came out too quick. Food was horrendous. Baked potato raw. Get your act together ! Hopefully they will be the next chain to go bankrupt. Union location even worse. Next time I’ll get a pretzel from a stand and save the $ 25.00 on over processed food !

I have been here over 5 times now, and cannot understand why I keep going back. Besides the poor service and bad attitudes of the staff, the management seems shoddy and the food is AWFUL. I’ve listed descriptions of my service over the past few months to explain why I’m rating this so low. If I want Applebee’s, I purposely drive an additional 15 minutes to find the next one. The Food — no napkins or utensils after I said to include them for my pick up order — we were missing the ketchup we asked for — our chipotle sauce was mistakenly replaced with BBQ — the dine in drinks are awful. I have never had an Old Fashioned as bad as this place — I’ve attached a photo of the chicken tender basket. For $ 10, I want much more than 3VERYTHIN chicken strips a small amount of fries(which were cold and way undercooked) The Service — the manager pushed past me to get to the counter without saying excuse me — the pick-up server was awful on the phone and gave us a rude look when we asked if they had sweet and sour or Polynesian sauce, and said she had never even heard of that and made it seem like we were crazy for asking — the waitresses are never great, often mess up orders, and gossip about other staff AND guests right next to our table so we can hear

NEVEREATHERE!!! Staff is one of the worst trained staff ever and they belittle customers and are overall garbage. Ghetto trash garbage. I went out through the wrong door past normal mall hours and wasn’t let back in right the correct exit after they SAW me walk out through the wrong door. I had to go through this whole fiasco to get a random guy there to call security and as we got walked out by security half hour later the whole staff LAUGHED at us. Non apologetic. Nothing. I’m actually complaining to the mall itself about this. Oh and waiter(I know his name but I won’t disclose it) great job on forgetting to ID us. Place is dirty btw. I asked for a refund on my tip I left REALQUICK

The food here is pretty good. Decent value, good atmosphere. Occasionally food can be a bit bland or overcooked.

not a fan of this place but went only because it was convenient… i find the place not especially clean and the food to be average at best… i admit they have some decent deals and the food is not overly expensive… but the service is fair, the music is too loud and i will not be going back for a long time… at least i hope…

This applebees is just okay. Nothing special. It’s your typical food chain restaurant. I never expect anything amazing when I go here. Every time I order food to go, they always forget my extra dressing on the side, despite my continuous asking. I don’t like that they don’t offer a lot of drinks from the bar(maybe it’s just me). I wouldn’t just go here for the bar. I do like that the apps are half pri e after 9pm though.

The 2 for $ 20 deal is good. We ordered the boneless wings and 2 Quesadilla burgers. The burger was real nice and the wings were plentiful. Place was packed and the staff was on point. No complaints.

I rate restaurants on 3 things atmosphere, service, and taste. Atmosphere: typical Applebees but a little dark in the lighting and more care should be done on the floors. Tables and menus were cleaned well. Service was pretty good. The only thing I can say here is to take away dirty plates when people are done eating when checking on drink refills. Taste. They fell short here. The ribs were not fresh. The meat was a little tough and dry. The rub and sauce did hide some of the loss of meat flavor but it was obvious. Lastly being at a big shopping mall parking is a pain

This location is smaller than the one in Union. But hey, size of restaurants doesn’t matter to me. What really matters is whether or not you get good food and service during your experience here. As with almost any Applebee’s, you would see some sports decorations from the high schools in the general. Surprisingly, I even saw some Rutgers decorations. RURAHRAH! :D When we got here at between 5:30−6pm, we had to wait for 10 – 15 minutes before we were able to be seated. That waiting time was reasonable. We killed the time by walking into a couple of stores before coming back after that the time period passed. All we had to do was walk up to the front desk and tell them who we were, and if your table was ready, you would be escorted over. We were greeted by a nice waitress who took our drink orders. Minutes later, our food orders were placed in. Service was actually slow(including drink refills), hence the one-star removal. But, we were able to enjoy the food. We did the«2 For $ 20» promo with a separate order of an appetizer via coupon. For the coupon, we ordered the Boneless Buffalo Wings. Those wings were really tasty, and because of that, we didn’t need to utilize the dipping sauce at all! For the other appetizer, we ordered the Mozzarella Sticks. What we’ve always loved about Applebee’s Mozzarella Sticks was the fact that there was no evidence that it was ever frozen, and it’s marinara dipping sauce was delicious. I’ll never forget the waitress who said that there were times when people ordered the Mozzarella Sticks as a main course for dinner. Wow, very surprising! Oh, and yes, I DOBELIEVE that you can easily get filled up on tasty appetizers, and so full, that you won’t have any room whatsoever for the main courses. :) For the entrees, we picked the Oriental Chicken Salad and the Three-Cheese Chicken Penne. Because these entrees were so big, and our«tanks» were 75% filled from the tasty appetizers, all of that was enough for us to split up. The dressing on the Oriental Chicken Salad was light, and the fried chicken with«crispy» noodles(I don’t remember the exact term for this…) was delicious. The Three-Cheese Chicken Penne was good too. The Penne was covered with gooey cheese, and the chicken was grilled to perfection. Of course we can’t forget about the«diced» mini-tomatoes and a breadstick. For dessert we had the shooters. My dad and I had the chocolate mousse shooters and my mom had the strawberry cheesecake flavor. My dessert had chocolate mousse with Oreo cookie crumbles on the bottom. We all enjoyed it, especially when all of it was topped off with whipped cream. Overall a very good experience, and we will be back again later on. Cheers!

Took us an hour and a half for one app and one drink each. Waiter stood at the bar staring at us, and said all of three words to us when taking our orders. Including, but not limited to «so…» And staring at us waiting for us to order. and«you did want the check yes?» Uhm, yes. That’s why we’ve been trying unsuccessfully for the last 25 minutes to flag you down. Will not be coming back.

The best part about this location is that ½ price appetizers start at 9pm as opposed to the standard 10pm at most other locations. Located inside of Woodbridge Center Mall, I find that this is a great place to meet up with a large number of friends since there is plenty of parking and if you arrive early, you can wander around the mall. I’ve never encountered a problem with the food or service. Keep in mind, this isn’t something to write home about. I keep my expectations realistic. It’s a chain restaurant. But if you’re just looking for a place to relax with friends and get some cheap eats, I think it does the trick.

The service was great here the food tasted good but i didn’t feel great after. We got the 2 for 20 deal. The app we got was the boneless buffalo wings and they had so much sauce on it that i think that might have been the reason i didn’t feel so well after. We got the chicken and shrimp bourbon plate and the riblets and both actually very good. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the little shrimps were pretty good to, I asked for wild rice instead of the potatoes which was a good choice because their rice was delicious. My date said that the riblet platter was good and he should have gotten rice instead of the french fries because they were blah. Overall it was a good dining experience. The reason I only gave them a 3 is because I didn’t feel so well after the food which was most likely due to the extra amount of sauce on the wings.

As far as Applebees goes, this is just as consistent and appealing as the rest of the Applebees, but it’s slightly more cramped since it’s attached to the Woodbridge Center Mall. The…how do you say… patrons of this Applebees may surprise you if you’re Johnny Surburban from a mostly WASPY part of New Jersey. This isn’t a bad thing, it’s just simply the facts. There’s plenty of better Applebees to go to, and plenty of other choices around here to choose over this. I’d only recommend coming here if you are a real fan of Applebees and want something specifically from their menu.

Stopped in here last night with Debbi Faye and Melissa Leigh. It was busy on a Friday night but we were seated in under 10 minutes. I’m not usually the biggest Applebees fan but Missy loves them so here we are. I’ve got to say our dining experience from start to finish was excellent. We had 2 apps= Nachos and a Spinach dip with chips. I don’t do Spinach but the girls loved it and then helped me finish the Nachos, that were real good. I started with a draft Heineken, a tall one please. I had Chicken Fried Chicken, sort of a country fried steak only with chicken rather than beef. It had the Country Gravy and Mashed potatoes and all were very tasty. Debbi Faye had a Penne Paste Chicken Salad and Missy had Chicken Tenders. They were working off the 2 for $ 20 menu, that offered some good selections for the entrees. You get one app, 2 entrees and a dessert, all for the aforementioned 20 bucks. Both ladies however were too full to finish their meals and so we passed on the dessert. Now that I think of it we should have ordered one and then just boxed it with the rest of the girls’ meals. I mean I paid for it already. I was getting full so I switched from beer to a Bahama Mama that was really quite delicious, I love Malibu Rum! Looks like I may have to give Applebees another shot closer to home, especially with the 3rd season of Friday Night Lights coming back to TV soon.
