I did not go here. I’m just researching my next Dells trip and I discovered that Monaco Motel is now part of the Mt. Olympus resorts. You will no longer receive discounts to Noah’s ark and free Chula vista passes. I’ve read some things about Mt. Olympus that ensure I won’t go there or stay here either.

We stayed here last week for two nights. I was really happy with our choice. The price was good, the location was central, and the room was clean. The reason we chose the Monaco was the proximity to Noah’s Ark, our main reason for visiting the Dells. It’s literally right behind the motel. We were able to walk from the Monaco to Noah’s Ark in under five minutes. They also offered a 40% ticket discount to Noah’s Ark and free passes to Chula Vista. We didn’t have time to try Chula Vista but Noah’s Ark was a blast! That’s another review, though. This is an older motel. It’s dated but it has a lot of charm. Sounds like a bad thing, but it’s not. The room’s furnishings and decorations are also dated, but who cares. It was clean, it was comfortable, and most people at the Dells don’t spend much time in the room anyways. The only negative thing I can say about the room is that they only give you two, flat pillows on the queen bed. That was solved by asking the front desk for an extra pillow. Easy as pie. There was a mini fridge and a microwave, too, great to chill a cold beverage and heat up your leftovers. It was SUPER hot while we were there but the A/C was super cold. I actually got too cold and had to turn it down in the middle of the night. That was not a problem. I’d rather the a/c work too well rather than not enough! I read other reviews about street noise. We were not too close to the street but even when sitting outside in the patio chairs I didn’t think it was loud. It was a Wednesday and Thursday night, so maybe it’s louder on the weekends. I can’t speak for that. I suppose if you are near either end of the motel(it’s shaped like a «U» with the pool in the middle) then it’s probably louder. A lot of people sat outside their rooms. It was nice, actually. People were friendly and said hello. We didn’t encounter any loud drunks or anything. It’s like a nice, little community. There’s a lot of stuff close to the Monaco. Across the street is a great breakfast place that is shaped like a paddle boat. There’s a pizza joint next to that. $ 4 go carts are just past the Noah’s Ark entrance. The Monaco is a great place to stay if you don’t want to drive around too much. We didn’t go in, but the pool looked nice. They had music playing during the day. They also had several picnic tables and nice Weber grills in the grass in case you don’t feel like eating out. Next time we come, we’re going to bring burgers and charcoal and try that out. And a big kudos to the staff. We arrived really late on Wednesday night. The office was supposed to already be closed but they waited on us. We had called earlier and told them we’d be arriving late. I appreciate them working around our schedule. The lady(don’t remember her name) was super friendly when we checked in. Overall: It’s clean, it’s close to a lot of stuff, the staff was nice. When we return to the Dells, we will return to the Monaco.

I am not a fan of motels, and stayed there just because our friends were there. But it was a good one. It is within the city center, the rooms are big and clean, the pool is nice. Quite mixed clientele, we had like 10 guys as door-to-door neigbours, drinking beer on the balcony all day long(girls came next day). But mainly families, of course. Noah’s Arc just next door! And as guests, we were entitled for 40% discount to it. Now when you have 2 large families, this is important. We also had free access to Chula Vista Resort and discounts to various places. The place itself is priced very reasonably. There is free Wifi. Probably, avoid street-facing rooms, as far as I understand, it can be noisy.

Clean pool, clean room, & attentive owners add up to a great motel stay at the Dells. Much better than the surrounding places.

Had a great time, was very impressed with the size of the room and how clean and neat the entire place was. the price was really reasonable considering the fact we got chula vista water park tickets good every day we stayed including the day we checked out. Found everything very kid friendly and will for sure come back!

Fairly nice hotel, stayed here for one evening. Pools were clean and getting free Chula Vista water park tickets was an added bonus. Road noise from the street was a little loud once we were in the room and trying to get to sleep.
