My husband and I have enjoyed date night on park avenue for years. PRATO is our dining experience of choice but LUMA is our dessert staple. Tonight our experience at LUMA was beyond expectations. We sat at the pastry chefs counter and loved every minute of our dining experience. Thank you for loving what you do so much that it was contagious. Chef Brian your creations are amazing. Chef Adam we clearly saw your love for food on every plate. Ramona your service was perfection. Did not expect to have as much fun as we did. Thank you all.

Love this place. I think the décor could do with a kind of revamp in the bar area and the wait staff are all lovely… but the uniform? Could do with a bit more snazz! Pretty girls wearing uniforms that look like they are in a mechanics class! Anyway, enough about the uniforms in the bar area(haven’t dined in the restaurant yet). Great food and great service. Their burger which was bigger than my head was to die for. Now admittedly it was a Sunday afternoon and I did have a little bit of a hangover from partying the night before… but it was perfect and hit the spot!

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. Not only is the food always fresh and cooked to perfection, but Luma has the nicest, most professional, most knowledgeable staff I’ve come across. I feel fortunate that this restaraunt is nearby where I live. My go to place when company comes to visit as it never fails to impress.

Love this place. Bit dangerous as it is within walking distance from my house! I just love their pizza! The best ever! The staff are really friendly in here and always serve with a smile! Thinking of going into their restaurant next time instead of sitting in the bar area. Will give it a try and post back on any updates… :)

I thought it was fantastic. Upscale, chic, classy. Very«Top Chef». I felt as if the food was incredibly fancy. I thought it was delicious. We ordered SEVERAL dishes as they tend to be small but it’s not such a bad thing because you get to taste a lot of what they have to offer. It is a little pricey but definitely worth the experience!!!

Always walked by this restaurant whenever I’m on Park Avenue… it’s always packed so I was curious and glad I finally got to try it out… for a friend’s bday dinner. 1st impression… fancy, modern, not a fan of the semi-clear glass stalls in the bathroom… but i get the whole concept. Service… we had 2 waiters due to our large party… one waiter was really nice… the other one was… «extra». Ex: we asked him if we can join the tables together… and he went on with a long speech about not being able to get up and use the bathroom… etc. 2nd… we told him we were on separate checks… and he again… had another long speech about how difficult it will be and that he needs to double check with everyone so our bills will be correct. Ok we get it… but we still want separate checks. Anyways… their saving grace was the food & drinks. Drink: Beni Di Batasiolo Moscato D’Asti, Italy — had 2 glasses… good stuff Food: GREENGARLICSTUFFEDCHICKEN — the presentation was amazing… it made my friends say… «man, I should have ordered that»… the chicken was juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside… the potatoes and everything else added to the flavor… will definitely order this again

Very good food and wines. I recommend the tasting menu. I had a strawberry kale salad with burrata that was delicious. I then got the trout that was amazingly executed, fresh with different vegetables. To close I had the lemon pie that was also really good. Good value for your money and I really liked eating outside since the location is nice.

Wow fantastic drinks and food. The atmosphere is great! Service is good but when they get busy it could be a while before you your drinks.

This place was fabulous! My husband and I went here for our 1 year wedding anniversary, and they were so good to us. The food was exceptional and you can really taste the fresh ingredients. The use only fresh produce from local farms. The drinks were tasty too, and they had a wide selection of wines. Our waitress Ashley was so helpful, kind, and very attentive, she even brought us complimentary glasses of champagne after the cake I ordered was presented. We enjoyed every moment at Luma and are so excited to visit again.

5⁄5 stars for my favorite spot on Park Ave! Upon entering, you immediately sense the modern, cool, yet intimate atmosphere. To the left is the bar area with ample seating which includes couches, «coffee» tables, comfortable chairs, high top tables, chairs, and regular bar stools. The bar opens up to a lovely patio area overlooking Park Ave. This makes it a very cool place to go with a group of friends or even with a significant other– no matter what time of day it is! To the right is the restaurant seating area. Also a very cool and modern vibe to it. There are regular tables with chairs as well as booths. At night the lights get w bit dark which set a very unique vibe which you only get at Luma! I suggest Luma for a celebratory dinner or perhaps a time you want to surprise that special someone! I went for my UCF graduation dinner with my family and everything was fantastic. Perfect place to celebrate. I go to Luma every now and then to grab drinks with friends. The bar area is a lot of fun at night! it gets a bit crowded, but if you can make it to a good spot at the bar, you NEED to try Dustin’s cucumber martinis! Give it a try during the day as well– lots of lunch options and hey maybe even a little drink to get you through the day!

Awesome meal tonight at Luma. The Flank Steak was incredible and we really enjoyed the Crab and Mushroom Roll. Husband had the Pork Ribeye, not my favorite but right up his alley!

I’ve been here a couple times for drinks, which their drinks are awesome always! But, I finally got to eat here last night. Had the duck confit and the flank steak. Duck confit was really good but the flank steak was awesome! The ambiance was nice and our waiter was really funny. Would definitely come back to try some of their other dishes. Of course, I had some cocktails, which were delicious!

Recent Atlanta transplants, we’ve been searching for a restaurant that could live up to the culinary standards we had living there, and we have found one! Actually, I think we found our new favorite restaurant in Orlando! We went for the first time last Wednesday, and then could not help ourselves and went again on Saturday. Our favorite dishes so far are the Short Rib, Filet Mignon(was not on the menu but offered by our server), and the Egg Casarecce Bolognese. My wife and I just returned from Italy and claims that the Casarecce is as good as any pasta we had during our 2 week stay there. and we had some incredible food! Definitely worth a try. Also worth noting that the bartenders are excellent. We are very picky about our martinis and manhattans and they have been perfect every time! Can’t wait to continue trying new dishes here!

My BF and I came here for a small bite and dessert. I found that Luma had such rave reviews and have passed it many times while walking on Park ave. the desserts of interest to us were the chocolate dessert(for the BF) and the lemon curd for me. We did decide to start with a Margarita pizza. I’m not sue what they are known for but we weren’t that hungry and we wanted dessert to we started there. They brought out a pizza stand and then our pizza, which was the thinnest pizza I’ve ever had(really more of just a crisp flatbread with toppings). I like thin crust and this wasn’t bad, but it really wasn’t great. I’m guessing they aren’t known for their pizza. I would say that it didn’t need the pizza stand, since it really was just a flatbread(pizza shaped). Dessert — both were actually very good. And a good portion for 1. I’d certainly do the lemon curd dessert again as I do love lemony treats! The grapefruit sorbet was an interesting accompaniment. Both desserts are ‘deconstructed’ and were very beautifully presented. The worst part of the evening, IMHO, was the service. For the 3 $‘s this place has and all the reviews I would have expected better service. I get, they may be busy, but you want me to rate my experience, I have to include the service. The server took FOREVER and hardly came by the table. When we did ask for something(like another drink to enjoy with our meal) it took a long time(I was pretty much done by the time it came). So, I’m not sure if hte issue was back of the house or front, but either way, service suffered.

Oh my God! This place is beautiful, great tasting food, friendly and knowledgeable servers and great ambiance. Plus the food came out quick. I just need to point out two awesome things about the place. Wait, three. This area on Winter Park is super cute… second, when I say the servers are knowledgeable, I mean it. From the cocktails and wine selection to the food… they can answer any question and give you lots of details. Thirdly, I’m a picky eater… so when I go to what I identify as «fancy restaurants», I freak out thinking I will pay a lot of money for some exotic or weird tasting entrée I won’t like. This was not the case. The food was magnificent. The menu changes though, so make sure you check out their website to view the menu.

Living in Orlando for as long as I have, I was aware of Luma’s spectacular reputation for fine dining. Even so it took me years to actually make it here. But when I finally dined at Luma, my only disappointment was that I hadn’t tried it sooner. Because… just…wow. Amazing amazing food. There’s a reason you’ll see mostly 4 and 5 star reviews on this page. The man and I dined at Luma for my birthday. It was the end of August and Magical Dining was just kicking off, so we decided to capitalize on that. Three courses and a bottle of wine later I can say it was one of the best birthday dinners I’ve had. The food is artfully prepared by some amazing chefs. Very fresh. Very flavorful. And the menu changes often based on season. This place is perfect for a nice evening out. Great for date night. Next on my dining bucket list is to try their Chef’s Table. From what I can see of reviews on here, it’s a fantastic experience. 5 stars for Luma for being pretty darn awesome.

Although the decoration is now over 10 years old, Luma’s dining room still inspires. You feel you’re somewhere elegant and modern, while comfortable and intimate. Not everything is quite what it was — the once wowing bathrooms could use an update on all the automatic gadgets — still Luma makes you feel you’re getting what you pay for. That carries over nicely into the greeting and service. In nearly a decade of dining there, I’ve yet to have a bad experience, save perhaps at the bar with lack of attentive service there. But then, I don’t typically eat at the bar, and would never do so at Luma where I can dine outside or in that fabric-lush dining room. Not sure if they hold beauty contests(for both men and, more typically, women) to select their hosts, and then adorn them with chic, but this is your first impression. Booths in great fabric and high-end comfort line walls, with a double-bank of them parallel to the glass wine«cellar» that provides a colorful backdrop in a well-dimmed restaurant. Tables are another choice, and you can also dine at the chef’s table(or chef’s counter) overlooking the pristine kitchen. At that special location you can expect the sous or pastry chef to make you something special. Believe it or not, NASCAR’s France family owns this place(what a dichotomy!) and they hired award-winner Brandon McGlamery as chef, duties he now splits with sister restaurant Prato down the street. Everything is inventive, and refreshing less wildly inventive than when the place first opened. Sometimes the classics are simply classics for a reason, and Luma has learned this lesson well. At the same time it keeps the tradition of locally-grown produce whenever possible, and we’re fortunate to have plenty of great choices year-round. Menu varied almost daily when first opened but now varies weekly, with themes by season. My favorite is autumn when the pumpkin-squash soups and desserts roll out, with their nutty accouterments. Look for widest variation in vegetables with my favorite, broccolini, often available. Small plates and Main Courses are the two sizes offered here. If it’s a salad or appetizer, it’s a small plate. If it’s an entrée, it’s a large plate. It’s all ala carte, but portion sizes are neither too large or too small. It’s the kind of place where you can share, or not share, but if you stick with mainly small plates you can enjoy a salad, two other items, one of which has meat, and still have room for dessert, coffee and a nice Cognac from their bar. They do indeed have great wines, many of which are out of my reach, but they also have plenty at the reasonable end, by which I mean about $ 9 a glass. Welcome to Luma. But don’t mistake this place for over-priced because the value is here in the food and quality of service. And the small plates and main courses are not over-priced for this level of creative goodness, variety, and freshness. It’s barely more costly than its sister Prada, and you get so much more for your money here — not in quantity, but in quality. In fact, Luma outshines anything else in downtown Winter Park, including the(over-rated?) Rav Pig just outside downtown. If you’re price-sensitive, and actually I’m not, you could save Luma for special occasions, or just declare an occasion to visit. You’re going to want to hit it mid-week if you can, because it’s still busy on the weekends when you should get a reservation for a Friday or Saturday. Thursday feels almost perfect, with all menu items available and knowledgeable servers free enough to give you even more of that extra attention you’ll receive every night. Those knowledgeable waiters have tried everything on the menu, and they have tasted most of the basic wines under $ 200 a bottle(fear not, for there are $ 37 bottles as well). Listen to your waiter here. He will know what’s freshest and he will know what is only available for a short time due to freshness and seasonality. Trust your waiter here. And trust me on Luma. Maybe the luster is slightly off the pearl in décor(though not much), the food is consistently better than ever, and you’ll find creativity in flavor without feeling like you’re trapped in a Food Network TV show with a contest for who can include the most disparate elements into a mélange of high-stacked floof. McGlamery doesn’t do that here. He saves the goofy experiments for down at Prato, and doesn’t screw up Luma’s more varied, yet more thoughtfully-combined, menu of treat after treat.

Great balance of food quality and price at this upscale restaurant on Park Ave. We went for dinner on Friday night with reservations for a birthday. The location is good, right on the corner. They weren’t packed, surprisingly, so I don’t know if reservations were necessary but I still like that they took reservations. We were seated at a round table that looked tight for 6 but it was fine. My only issue was with the chairs. They were half back seats with a bad angle too far back so you were either leaning forward on the table the whole time or uncomfortable sitting back. Besides that I don’t really have anything to complain about. The interior décor was nice. Ambience was dark. The food was very good though I wasn’t blown away. The portion size was just right to make me full. It’s not a big plate, primarily your protein with a small side they put down as the base. Everyone liked their food. The birthday girl was very happy with my restaurant choice. Meals average $ 30 here, almost no matter what you get. I had the flank steak. I estimate it was about 6 oz of meat cooked. I ordered medium well and it was very good. I didn’t like the sound of the olive sauce that it was supposed to come with on the menu, but the waiter told me I could get the steak on a different base(i.e. with what the chicken came with) so I did that, happily so. For special occasions, I recommend Luma.

Great food! I was with a large group so they put us in a private room otherwise know as the wine cellar. We had a limited menu but I wasn’t disappointed with any of my choices. Choices included truffle popcorn(yummy), squash margarita pizza(tasty), trout over capers(awesome but petite) and some sort of sorbet shortcake strawberry concoction(cleaned my plate). I picked up the bar tab for several others and was a little surprised by the prices. Other than that it was a great experience and I’ll be back to order off the full menu.

Luma on Park is nice establishment on Park Ave. It is a bit pricey. The place was very busy as it was Saturday but we were still able to get a table outside as soon as we walked in. I ordered the Santa Julia Malbec and it was delicious,. If you like red wine you will like this one as it is smooth and not too sweet or dry. This is a nice place, the service was good and the atmosphere is nice. I had a wonderful experience.

Had to come try this restaurant after reading my foodie friends’ 5-star reviews. Decided the SO’s birthday was the perfect opportunity to splurge at a nice restaurant. Ambiance is nice — just what you would expect from a fancy restaurant. Loved the dim lighting and the glass wine room they have right behind the hostess’ post. Service was excellent, as was the food. They have a nice extensive wine list including a list just for reserve bottles. I ordered a glass of Leitz Out Riesling as per my waiter’s recommendation and it was just what I wanted, a nice sweet white wine. Everything on the menu sounded so good! I would normally split an appetizer with the SO but couldn’t decide between 2 so just decided to order both the shrimp croquettas and the tuna crudo. Both of the dishes were amazing! I ordered the diver scallops for the entrée and the SO ordered the ribeye. My diver scallops were nice and big and juicy, not rubbery at all. The SO’s steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and flavorful and juicy as well. We both really enjoyed our dishes and it was filling too. Even though we were already full, I had to order a dessert since it was the SO’s birthday. I was sad to see that they didn’t have the dessert my friends raved about. Nothing seemed to stick out to me so I just ended up just ordering the chocolate cremeux. It was decent, I’ve had better desserts. The waiter was super attentive to my table the whole meal, always came to refill our water and ask how everything was. Thanks Sonny(?). Sooo basically everything was almost perfect and I would’ve given the restaurant 5 stars except I had noted on my opentable reservation that the reservation was for the SO’s birthday and the hostess even confirmed that with me when she called to confirm the reservation. However the restaurant didn’t even do anything special considering the special occasion that I noted. Didn’t even bother writing happy birthday on the dessert. I was just slightly disappointed because all I wanted was some sort of little gesture and received nothing. I hate to compare but the restaurants in New York would’ve done something, probably even comp a dessert on the house so they lose a star for service. Also, not that this matters to me but I thought it was odd that they didn’t serve any bread but provided bread plates on the table… Anyways, overall this is a nice date night restaurant. Uploaded pictures!

This review is just for the chefs table. I would say I like some of the items, but not all. It was really good in the beginning but it falter towards the end. Loved the smoked salmon, tuna tartare, ravioli and the salad, which were all great starters. A great expectation to the coming offerings. All the flavors were fresh and presentation was beautiful. The seafood sausage course reminded me of a Vietnamese dish which was kind of interesting that the flavors were right on. The scallop was cooked well but was a bit over salted. The complements of the dish threw me off as well. Didn’t mesh well together for me with the creamy oats. I also disliked that the chicken was even consider part of the tasting. It was cooked very well, but I would have rather enjoyed another poultry if need be, like duck. The steak was our last course and I felt it was over charred but I really enjoyed the starch on the dish which I forgot but i believe it was a polenta of some sort. Our dessert looked amazing but the only one I enjoyed was the banana pudding. The others didn’t really appeal me to dive in for some more and I love desserts. Service was excellent, it would be worth the try if you haven’t done it.
