I really wanted to like this place. They have Gluten free Bread and that made me so happy. We went for dinner and ordered a drink. We had our drink, then it took about 15 minutes for them to come back to take our order, we were starving. The bartender thought he was really funny, but he wasn’t. I had the pulled pork sandwich with their«creamy» mashed potatoes. And my friend had the chicken breast. We ordered a second drink at the same time, since it took so long to take our order. The pulled pork had barely any meat in it. The potatoes were so dry and really lumpy, I like lumpy but not dry. Also lumpy isn’t creamy. By the time our food came, 10 – 15 minutes later our second drinks still weren’t there. So service get 1 star Food gets 3 stars. I like the colors and the ambiance of the restaurant. So much potential, really bummed.

I went here for my Sunday Funday birthday brunch. It was a nice day so we sat outside on the patio. The outside patio was nicely decorated with light shade of green and there were fake burning candles on each end of the time. It seemed to be a nice relaxing atmosphere. The food itself wasn’t anything to talk about though. I was indifferent to it… I had the Mother Club of Pimento Cheese. It was a grilled cheese sandwich but I like my grilled cheese to have some sort of crispy bread crust on it. For Sunday brunch, they had 5 mimosas or belinis for $ 10. The mimosas were delicious, but the belinis… were okay. The service from our waiter was a bit weird. He was super nice at times, and then he seemed bothered at other times. I’d go here ago. Hopefully with a more normal server.

Decent food, not good enough to return. We have wanted to try out the Truffles Grill since it opened at Winter Park Village but always ended up eating somewhere else, so this weekend we gave it a shot. There was no wait at 7pm on a Saturday night which should have been a giveaway. Décor: hip yet casual, cool paper lanterns & nice atmosphere. Lots of 2-tops so good if you are on a date & don’t wanna wait. Drinks: I had the berry lemonade, fresh berries crushed in it, it was delicious & hit the spot. Appetizers: we shared the spinach and artichoke dip, the dip size was small & chips were cold & stale, I could tell it had been defrosted. Entrees: black bean burger was so-so, and entrée salads need more dressing(it was a gigantic bowl of iceberg lettuce without much else). Desserts: typical blondies & premade stuff topped with ice cream. Service: pretty good, the servers are fast & attentive. Overall the reason we will not return is that the food was not unique or memorable(other than the custom lemonade). We were disappointed that we didn’t see anything with truffles on the menu, it’s essentially an Applebees/Chilis /Ruby Tuesday style restaurant. We expected more since the other WPV restaurants are all amazing.

Been here several times over the past year and can highly recommend! One incredible detail is the staff. I’ve never been to a stand alone restaurant like this where the staff is so friendly, helpful and personable from the bus boy to the host to the wait staff on a consistent basis. Am sure there has been turnover, but their training must be solid and/or they just«know how to pick ‘em.» Either way, this is one of their best qualities. That being said, there are qualities worth mentioning, too. I’ve eaten inside, which offers a cozier ambiance with low lighting in a contemporary setting. The outside patio is nice, too, especially when the weather is nice. Either is a nice location for a date night. The food was great! Loved the Mahi Mahi — perfectly seasoned. And any vegetable you choose will be fresh and seasoned well. Love the mashed potatoes with the skin on. Each time I’ve visited, the food has been served piping hot! A huge plus to me. A few times, someone other than are server has brought the food out. I’m assuming this is because they don’t like it sitting in the back. I appreciate this! Definitely give this little-known restaurant a try. It may become a new favorite! It has for me.

Visited: 25JAN2012 — One of Orlando’s best kept secrets. SERIOUSLY, try this place. It’s off the beaten path and tucked away in the Winter Park Village area but it is worth seeking out as the food and drinks are FANTASTIC! Prices are reasonable as well. Not anymore expensive than the other restaurants in the area.

If i dont want to read my whole review my short and sweet version is: you have to try this place, its great! I’ve gone so many times and sometimes have amazing servers sometimes not so great but im kind of a regular so at this point i know them all. It gets very busy Thurs/Fri/Sat nights, especially the outdoor seaing area. I have been to Truffles more times than I can remember. I practically work across the parking lot so convienice plays in a big factor there. The owner Julio is a great guy and he’s always there! I appreciate dedication from management when it is a non chain restaurant(there’s actually one in South Carolina too but 2 stores isn’t a chain in my mind). Food I’ve had: Starters: Brie– yummmmmmmyyyyy! If i could justify eating yummy buttery melted cheese every meal of every day of my life I would have this app Mushroom crostini– my company has used Truffles for catering a few times so i got to sample this and I really liked it but i dont know if i would order it myself(see Brie appetizer review) Crab cakes– Filling as far as crab cakes go but if you are like me and like to order appetizers as your meal sometimes this probably isn’t the best option since it is small Spinach and artichoke dip– always a classic but doesnt stand out from other restaurant versions Meals: Meatloaf– I’m ususally a meatloaf hater but i got a free sample of this and it was awesome. i’ve ordered it a few times Chicken Pot Pie– so frickin good! they make it from scratch and you can practically taste the calories in it but it is so worth it Crab cakes(non appetizer) — good but small portion for the cost Turkey/Brie Crossaint Sandwich– its really good, i’ve ordered it a few times but the Brie is just sliced on but on the sandwich, its not melted so dont order expecting a warm gooey sandwich here Pimento Cheese/Tomato soup– Really great on a cold(in Florida terms) kind of day. definately fulfills the comfort food craving Cheeseburger– the first couple times i got this it was the most amazing burger i’ve ever had which is saying a lot since definately is not a burger place but i think they recently changed the recipe or portion size or something because it just didnt have that greasey yummy goodness it always had Desserts Key Lime pie– eh it was okay… im a key lime pie connossieur so i might be too harsh about this. dont get me wrong, it was good, but not enough key lime punch to it Bottom line… try it, you won’t be disappointed

Was here for a bridal shower. Service was beyond bad. Drinks and food took way too long the waitresses seemed confused about everything we ordered and we were only drinking mimosas and ordering from three items. It was a disaster. My food was awful. I couldn’t cut it with my butter knife because it was so fatty and the eggs were brown. I posted a pic. I don’t recommend this place. It is neither relaxing not good.

I came in for lunch during brunch. The service was a little spotty, I think we threw the server off by ordering iced tea and not bottomless mimosas for $ 10. My southwest chicken salad was very tasty, good ratio of protein to veg. I’d like to come back for dinner, the bar seems like a nice spot to kill time at before a movie. Much more chill than some of the other options at WP Village.

So far I have been here twice and enjoyed it both times. Once for happy hour/drinks and another for brunch. Brunch has a great deal on bottomless mimosas for $ 10. I also had their eggs benedict. It was served on a buttery, soft croissant and just delicious. I thought the difference of the croissant vs. a traditional english muffin was a nice touch and really made the meal. I tried a bite of my friend’s french toast and thought it was great. They apparently soak french bread in the french toast mix overnight. It was quite rich, but my friend ate every bite. I have also tried the crab cakes and black bean cakes during happy hour and I recommend them both. I tried a pear martini as well and it was so, so good. Very dangerous as you can’t taste the alcohol at all. :)

I am definitely a fan of this relatively new restaurant. The first time I went was during Happy Hour(4 – 7 p.m.), so all the appetizers were only $ 5 — a great deal! I’d highly recommend their crab cakes as well as their spinach artichoke dip, both were excellent! The several times I’ve eaten here I’ve had the following menu items: (1) Grilled salmon paired with spinach and broccoli (2) Grilled shrimp paired with spinach and broccoli (3) Mahi-Mahi paired with spinach and broccoli Hm.apparently I never got super creative with my sides but in any case, they have EXCELLENT vegetables. Especially their broc. It tastes super fresh and never frozen. My favorite of those menu items was probably the grilled shrimp. Although the salmon had great flavor, parts of it were too salty. The Mahi-Mahi was pretty dry, which was a let down. It didn’t ruin the meal though. One of my friends ordered the truffle mac and cheese and she seemed to enjoy that. Another one of my friends ordered the pesto cheese tortellini, it looked delicious and she gave it good reviews as well. Their bread is also a must-have. More specifically, the butter that goes with the bread. It’s super creamy and appears to be a cream cheese, chives, garlic, hybrid. Very delicious but most likely super high-calorie. Upon request, they also offer a gluten-free bread for those out there who are gluten intolerant/suffer from Celiac disease. Overall, I’ve always had a good experience at Truffles and definitely plan on going back.

My girlfriends and I spent our afternoon lunch here. With the warmer weather we selected to eat in side but I want to mention they have great patio dining. We each selected an appetizer to share, the coconut shrimp, mushroom crostini and the baked brie. All were fantastic, not a bite left. We then ordered a lunch each; the portabella, the burger and the tuna sandwiches. Every one of our orders was freshly prepared and cooked perfect. Our waitress made great drink suggestions along with restaurant favorites. Make sure you try the FireFly Icetea Vodka and have it made like an Arnold Palmer. It’s Fantastic! Thank you to our waitress. The manager came by to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. Yes we will go back.

Pretty good food. The area by the bar is fun to sit at. My friend and I shared the crab cake on recommendation from our waitress. It was very small and not worth the $ 12. I ordered the Southwestern Salad which was large but mostly lettuce. It needed more goodies like black beans and some salsa. I would go back for their appetizer and cocktails happy hour from 4 – 7 pm before a movie at Winter Park Village.

Having been twice now, I would have no qualms about recommending Truffles Grill. The food is scratch-made and offers any diner many delicious options. They have a nice outdoor seating area, prices are reasonable and they do take reservations(which you may want to consider for a Friday or Saturday night). Although the service was friendly and very hospitable both times, it took awhile on the first occasion to receive our entrees. Aside from having to wait, the food that they serve up is very good. I sampled the black bean cake appetizer as well as the baked brie with fresh fruit. Both were presented well and packed a lot of flavor. For the main course, I would definitely recommend their Southwest Chicken Salad and their Cajun Tilapia special. My husband opted for the Chipotle Chicken which came with a pseudo stuffing of bacon and blue cheese — very good but heavy on the blue cheese. His side dish was worth writing about — Truffle Mac & Cheese. Creamy, smoky, and just what you’d hope for with the addition of Truffle oil. Desserts are worth the extra minutes at the gym. We sampled the Peanut Butter Mousse Pie and the Warm Blondie with ice cream. Both were delectable in every way and just the right amount of sweetness to end the meal.

I am not sure why this place does not have better reviews. I have been here twice and have had a great time. The ambiance is not bad for a restaurant across from a grocery store. The servers are pretty good, although I did have to flag mine down to bring me my drink the last time I visited. They do a fantastic brunch with a $ 10 all you can drink Mimosa or Bellini pitcher. I have tried: –Pimento Cheese and Tomato soup dish(Great) — Turkey BLT(Fantastic) –Bib Lettuce Salad(The best) –Homemade Veggie Burger(Yum) –Blondie Sundae(Sinfully good) Truffles is now my favorite brunch place in town.

My husband and I tried Truffles because we have been frequenting the same places lately, so we wanted something new. I made reservations because it was a Friday evening; however we still ended up waiting 45 minutes. The entire time we waited, there was a table that was open and available.(I watched it like a hawk. I assumed it was being used for a big party and they were anticipating other nearby tables to clear. There were a total of 4 clean, set tables when we finally sat down, and it still took them several minutes to start slowly seating them.) Within a couple minutes of when we sat, they put another 2-top at that very table. Very, very poor hosting job. And I’ve worked in the restaurant industry before, so I usually cut these people some slack! Ok, forget about the service/seating part. When we were waiting for our seat, we went to the bar and asked the bartender what they had on draft. Her answer was«Blue Moon, [a bunch of domestic crap like Miller Lite], Cigar City, and Dogfish.» I said«Well, Dogfish & Cigar City are breweries that make a LOT of different beers… which ones do you have?» Bartender: «I don’t know. The Cigar City is dark.» Me: «Ok, what about the Dogfish Head? I’m assuming it’s either 60 or 90 minute.» Bartender: «Um, let me go check.» Really? Then when we were finally sitting down at the table and I ordered the Cigar City Maduro(which took a long time to finally figure out), the server looked at me confused and repeated«Cedar Setty?»(the girl didn’t have an accent, she just had never heard of the beer before). Throughout our dinner — the mushroom appetizer was uninspired and bland, but my fish entrée was delicious — the server only checked on us once. I have to commend them for having a gluten-free menu, however it looked like a high school student just typed it up in Times New Roman 12 and didn’t proof-read it. Yes we all make mistakes, but to print a menu at a nice restaurant with numerous spelling errors is just obnoxious and amateur. I might go back, ONLY because my entrée was pretty tasty. However, I’ll be sure to prepare a contingency plan!

Not feeling the love from this place. Don’t get me wrong the food was decent but strange… I found myself oddly uncomfortable with this place. The atmosphere just doesn’t make sense. Are they french… Italian… Modern… I have no clue. It is nice to have a new addition to Winter Park Village however, this place just doesn’t quite hit the mark for me. Overall all everyone at the table enjoyed our meals but none of us LOVED our meals. I had the portobello sandwich with sweet potato fries. The fries were pretty goo, nothing to write home about. The best part of the meal was the bread and flavored sweet fluffy butter that the bread was served with. I have to say… I do not think I will be returning for bread and butter alone.

Truffles is located next to Chamberlin’s, in the Winter Park Village. The newly renovated space has a large dining room and a large covered porch dining area outside for nice weather days. Popped in with some gals for lunch and a catch up session. The spinach dip and baked brie were ordered, both were very tasty. The spinach dip was creamy but very spinach-y and not heavy. Nice. Baked brie was nicely done, good portion of brie surrounded by puff pastry, served with french bread and some sliced fruit. Ice tea had several flavors, including Mango which had chopped up mango pieces(Available unsweet and sweet). A bread basket was delivered and was quickly devoured by the other diners due to the yummy herb butter. I sampled some and found it to be Boursin cheese mixed with whipped butter. Will be trying that at home, cool trick. I ordered the house made Black Bean burger, which had good flavor and something I would order again.(Didn’t fall apart, thumbs up!) Friend ordered the portabella sandwich which had a nice amount of grilled mushrooms, topped with roasted red bell peppers, brie and L, T, O, also a nice choice. If you are a fan of turkey clubs, you should swing in here. Served on a croissant, there was a nice portion of turkey, bacon and fresh avocado slices. It’s a big sandwich, one friend fought through it and the other friend took half home. All sandwiches came with fries, those who like a very salty fry were happy. 2 of us found salt to be the only thing we tasted. A salmon entrée rounded out our group, obviously they read Scott Joeseph’s recent review, because the accompanying mashed potatoes were in a nice«plop» and not a rounded ice cream scoop. I sampled the potatoes and my hubby would be all over them. Good flavor, some lumps and skins. The fish was a nice portion and cooked beautifully. Service was friendly and prompt, ice teas were refilled often. Our server had some nice recommendations on the menu, which we followed and were pleased. Solid lunch spot with something for everyone.

Classic southern dishes with a new and contemporary twist. Ambiance is great for business meetings, classy lunches, and romantic dinners. Try the mushroom appetizer(I’m not a fan of mushrooms but this one converted me!), Tilapia with Corn Salsa, and the Soy Ginger Crispy Chicken — the mac & cheese is divine!
