Excellent beer selection, decent food to snack on, and okay service. This is a great place to go before/after a movie. As one could guess from the name, they have tons of beer on tap. It is really nice to go to a place that(seemingly) always has a new beer to try on tap. I love that they offer flights of 5 oz beers so that you can try a few and ultimately settle on a favorite for a full pint. On my most recent visit, my girlfriend and I decided to get the nachos, which were surprisingly good although could’ve used more of the delicious cheese dressing. An amusing antidote is that we pointed out to the waitress that«pinot noir» was misspelled«pinto noir» on their wine list, and she gave zero sh**s. It was kind of odd.

I definitely prefer the drinks over the food. The best thing I had was the meatball sub. It was really good but so large it was rather difficult to eat. I’ve ordered the bruschetta, which came burnt and the black bean hummus didn’t wow me either. The drinks menu is pretty big and I’m a big fan of the peach/basil cocktail.

A great option for happy hour! $ 5 house wines and a selection of food items for $ 5. I dined here with a few friends before catching a movie across the street. The atmosphere is nice. Very open to the outside, which was perfect for enjoying the nice Florida weather the night we were there. They have some great outdoor seating as well. Our waitress was very nice and the service was quick. We ordered bruschetta for the table as an appetizer and it was super tasty. I appreciated that they had some healthy options. Many bars like Taps don’t have that. And I’m generally a clean eater so it was nice to see some menu items tailored to me. I had the Far East Coast salad and I loved it. We couldn’t linger because we were off to a movie like I said. But I would love to return and check out their wine dispensers as well.

Love this bar. They have the best French martinis in the area. The martini is slamming good. The dirty martinis are good too. I love the ambience of the place too. They always play nice music and the establishment is decorated really nice. It is a great place to go.

A friend and I had some beers and food items here recently. All I can say is, service? So, the beer and wine selection is excellent but the service here was so pathetic, I doubt I will ever be back. First, we sat down at the bar, but almost immediately turned around and sat down at a table instead. The girl behind the bar who had greeted us initially never let anyone know we were there and we sat there waiting for a server for a really long time. When someone finally came and greeted us they turned right around went back over to where they pick up items from the kitchen and basically appeared to argue with another server over who was going to come and actually take our order. We should have already left by now but we foolishly stuck it out. Then, when a server finally came to take our order their attitude was so snotty that, again, we should have just left. Beers and food took a long time to get to the table and we never did get a refill of drinks just because it all took so long we were afraid to ask. Anyway, done with this place for sure which is a shame really.

I purchased an awesome deal for Taps through Travelzoo… an appetizer, 2 drinks, and 2 entrees for $ 35. A friend and I had a chance to go use the voucher on a Thursday evening, and the food and service did not disappoint. The proscuitto, olive oil, basil, goat cheese bruschetta was full of flavor and perfectly done. My friend ordered the pomegranate salmon and I had the short rib pappardelle. The salmon came with asparagus but they had no problem substituting another vegetable in its place. The flavor of the short rib was amazing and I couldn’t get enough of it. The selection of beer was great, which is always an important factor for me. My friend tried to order her usual Cigar City Jai Alai but I told our server she wasn’t allowed to have that haha. He asked if she wanted an ipa and if she wanted him to surprise her, and reappeared with a Bell’s Hopslam that she enjoyed. I’m glad we had the voucher because the prices were a little steep but I’d return and order a less expensive meal such as a sandwich and know that it’d still be delicious.

The service was slow, but the beer was great! Great local selection. I love to sit outside and listen to music, people watch, and enjoy good conversation. We came around 7pm and it was not crowded at all. Overall a good experience — I will return!

Not sure what happened to this place… I was living in Orlando 4 years ago and they used to have a really good seared ahi tuna salad. Now they just have their chopped salad with sashimi style tuna which was absolutely awful… if the highest quality lettuce you can offer is a crappy romain than don’t bother offering salads. All of the ingredients were garbage, as was the tuna. Bummer… I guess now the only thing worth going for is the beer.

I’ve been here twice and both times were amazing. I went by myself the first time and didn’t know what I was in the mood for, but the bartender was very helpful and suggested something I now enjoy. Second time was a few weeks ago with a few others, and we sat in the lounge section in the back. The drinks were great, but the waiter was a bit slow, but nothing major.

So this was the only place open late near the movie theaters. I came with my girlfriend to get a quick bite to eat before seeing a movie. We enter and the sign says seat your self so we sit down. We sat there for 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from anyone. I tried to flag down a server so we can get a menu because we were kind of on a time crunch. Another 5 minutes passed without me seeing anyone who worked there. I finally see a server so I ask him for a menu. He rudely interrupts me, telling me he’s busy and to give him a minute. He goes outside to clean a table and finally comes back inside. He asks us what we want and I ask for a food menu and he states the kitchen closed already and walks off. Well since it took more than 15 minutes to not get a menu, we just left without getting a drink either because the staff obviously doesn’t care.

I don’t know what’s wrong with this waiter tonight. But he doesn’t seem like he wants to be here. We sat 10min before he acknowledged us and brought menus. It took another 25 – 30 to bring us our drinks. We did watch them sit on the bar some te though. We placed our food order and im hopimg this doesn’t take an hour as the movie starts soon Uuugh he just came to the table to tell us that they needed 30 min to make meatballs. Cashing out and going across the street to Valdianos. Good luck if you’re eating here tonight. Oh …no its not even busy.

I finally made it here, as it has been bookmarked for me for a while. The atmosphere is great, and service was prompt, which would make things off to a good start. Beer selection here is decent, not overwhelming, but overall solid, with great bottle choices as well. My real hesitation in ranking higher is the food. Overall, it felt pricey for what it was, and just wan’t anything elevated over what I would expect for typical bar food. We had the pretzel and beer cheese, and I can honestly say I’ve had the same type of appetizer elsewhere done better. The other dish we tried to order was off the menu for the night(beef jerky). Overall, a great spot, excellent location, and solid beer list will have me coming back to give this place another try. Hopefully the beef jerky will be back the next time.

I really like this place but I wish they would commit to providing reliable TV service. We asked the bartender if they would be getting NFL ticket and/or college football packages and her comment was«I’ve been asking about that too, but they are still undecided» Wow, really? One week before season? The irony was we were there that afternoon to enjoy one of the Serena Williams’ tennis matches. The beer was cold the appetizers perfect and the staff friendly and helpful. But, as a light rain set in over the Winter Park village, the TVs froze and then went black. We sat there for another thirty minutes and decided to go to Marlows down the street. Hey, Taps, providing great sports TV will not make you a sports bar and ruin your wine vibe, it will give your beer and wine enthusiasts an option to catch their favorite event and be social at the same time. I hope to be back and catch a Sunday afternoon game and a delicious cold beer in your terrific indoor outdoor spot.

My husband and I visit on a Saturday night around 10pm, just wanted to grab a beer(draft). We sat at the bar and were given a drink & food menu within a minute or so. Going to the draft section of the menu, we noticed only 10 beers listed and 2 pages of the menu missing. There are about 30 beers on tap, so I asked for the rest of the menu. The bartender said that they don’t have a printer or it was broken. When I stated I don’t know what all of the beers on tap are, can’t read that far, she offered no help to tell me what was on tap. I was able to figure out the majority of them, but not all. I was not thrilled with the selection as I was looking to try something new and they didn’t have anything(that I could tell at least) that I hadn’t had before. My husband ordered a beer and we quickly closed out.

If you decide to visit, make sure to hit their happy hour to save a few bucks by getting $ 5 apps. I had the nachos, not bad. My friend had the veggie quesadillas, not my cup of tea. I like the area by the wine tastings. Cool relaxed and comfy. And the bar is very casual.

Being a «Beer Guy» you have to at least stop into any place called Taps. The beer menu was a solid 2″ think and our waitress knew her stuff. From some local Florida favorites to the harder to find production brews they served them up. Daily specials… Think $ 1.00 off draughts. I’ll be back.

Came here on a Friday evening with a group of friends to grab dinner before heading to a movie. The place was busy, but not crowded, as we were easily able to find a table for 5 with no problem. I still can’t decide if I like this place. I want to like it, but maybe it was just one of those nights and I need to give it another try. While the food was ok, service was a bit slow, especially towards the end, and as we were trying to make our movie, the server just kind of disappeared. As a result we had to sit in crappy seats at the movie, which was a bummer! Taps does have a nice atmosphere, with tables on one side of the establishment, and a lounge area on the other. It felt like two different vibes– beer bar in the front, wine lounge in the back, as there were wine bottles along the walls for sampling. It’s a really nice space, and if we weren’t in a hurry I could see spending a few hours with their extensive beer menu or hanging out with a couple glasses of wine. The menu was ok– not the best selection, but decent. I had the Chipotle BBQ Apricot Chicken, which was good, but honestly nothing special. You can add a side for $ 4.00 or the dish comes with a mixed green salad. My friend added macaroni and cheese as her side, and it was the saddest, tiniest ramekin of mac and cheese, even though it was good. Maybe not $ 4.00 good though! I think in the future I would come back for drinks, and maybe a snack, but not necessarily dinner. While the food was good, it seemed a little pricey for what you are getting, and just wasn’t my favorite.

A group of friends and I stopped here to grab a light meal before our late movie showing. I live close to the area and had never ventured inside assuming it was a drinking spot. They actually serve food and have an extensive tapas menu in addition to some salads and sandwiches. It was fairly packed when we arrived(Friday night). You can opt to sit outside or inside. We chose inside and were seated in a large booth. I would compare this to a more upscale version of a sports bar. Lots of dark oak furniture and contemporary décor. There were televisions everywhere so this is probably your best bet to watch a sporting event in Winter Park Village. There is an extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu. Our server was open to suggesting drinks based on taste preferences. I had ordered a Rekordelig Wild Berries cider but he brought me a pear by mistake. I felt bad since it was poured out of a bottle and didn’t want it to go to waste so I tried it and actually liked. So I’m glad I didn’t mention the mistake. Forced me to try a new flavor. On the down side, the pricing is fairly steep as it was $ 8.50 for this bottle so I made sure to drink it to the last drop! As for the food, I went with the chipotle apricot BBQ chicken sandwich. I wasn’t aware that it came with a salad so I ordered a side of mac and cheese. The sandwich was really tasty. It came wrapped in paper and had generous slices of chicken and a great tangy bbq sauce taste. I loved the choice of grilling/pressing the ciabatta bread. It was a super hearty sandwich, but a little messy because of the sauce. The mac and cheese side is a super small portion and for $ 4 I should’ve known better. I took a few bites but was already full from my sandwich and small salad so I shared with friends. They seemed to like since they’re cheese fanatics so it didn’t go to waste. Our service was a little unattentive. One of my friends had asked for a glass of water to go with her beer and she never got it. She had to ask again when he did come by. It was just a busy night so he was spread pretty thin. We had to also ask for our checks and he was great about splitting. On a sidenote– there is another room towards the back that has the options to try different wine pours. So keep that in mind. Overall, the meal was good but the prices were steep for what it was. Would definitely not be a regular spot to dine… maybe if a friend suggested for Happy Hour.
