The food was like motel 6 breakfast which is really close by(just saying) … The server was trying his best, but the service was bad … Not recommended

Don’t bother trying to use the Unilocal free spring roll offer for check-in, unless paying cash and spending over $ 30. We told the waiter when placing or order and he refused to honor… we were easily spending over 30 $, but I was using credit card as well I never carry cash. The most annoying part is that these ‘rules’ are not outlined in the offer! And don’t tell me that the 2.5% Credit Card Fee is going to make or break their business when honoring their promoted offer? They also do not accept American Express… the processing fee for AmEx isn’t much(if any) more then using a premium Visa or MC that also has points/miles, etc… It’s part of the cost of doing business and your prices should reflect those costs. Food was good, would probably return for dinner. Just disappointed in promoting offers and not honoring that offer. Service was ok. nothing special, not bad either. But weird that starters and dinner arrived at the same time!

My favorite Thai spot. And halal. Dannnngggg. You don’t usually get all that. Everything came out quick and cheap. The service was great. Super helpful with recommendations and prompt refills. And most importantly of all, food was delicious! Good sized portions that are awesome eating family style. You owe it to yourself. Come try this place.

I was excited because this is soo close to my house. We normally have to drive to north hollywood for good thai food. However we were left alittle disapointed The restaurant was redone really nice. Decore was simple. Clean. The waiters looked really young and were eager to help us because it was dead. Ordered: Papya salad, chicken sate, Pad see eew, pad Thai and red curry. Over all the portions were really small, and the food was bland. Especially for the price we ended up paying. The one upside was the chicken sate was really soft and my daughter who is a really picky eater loved it and ate them all.

Wow wow! This place is great. Why wow, because we went there with no expectation and ate like kings and queens. This is probably the biggest Thai restaurant in socal if not the entire state. It would seat 150 people easy. We had the chicken drunken noodle $ 9, thai fried rice with beef $ 9, fried pompano fish $ 16 and everything was down right tasty and cheeeeap!

Quite interesting experience. I just got off work when I realize I was hungry and I craved tofu pad thai. I looked up thai places and found this one next to my house. Ratings are good and it is also located 18 min walking distance from our door so me and my husband decided to have a walk before dinner. So we entered the place. Ok and here was a frontdesk lady starting at her phone and she excused herself explaining that she is doing something important, few seconds after she was ready to get us a table(ok this is unprofessional I thought, I work in the costumer service and this is already a huge thumbs down) Her bright lavender lipstick catch my eyes instantly(is it a MAC store I just walked in?) Ok so I place seemed to be huge and I thought it would be nice to sit by the windows, she gladly lead us to one of the tables that was available. Coming up-close to that table she noticed some dirt on it but instead of wiping the whole thing she just scratched out the dirt with her nails and excused for it.(Okaaay…)and we took our sits and… window appeared to start right above our heads so we could really enjoy the view. Then frontdesk lady asked us if we want any drinks and we asked for 2 waters and 1 Coke. She came back with 1 water and a Coke… Ok then our waitress came. Honestly she was the only bright spot in the whole experience. She brought us second glass of water and took our order. Then I heard somebody singing… At first I though that was our table neighbors, but in few seconds I figured that it’s same frontdesk lady is singing out loud along the radio. And she was doing it the entire time we were there. REALLY?!(Ok I got that part place is dead slow. We had ladies sitting next to us and another couple on the other side of this huge ass restaurant, she probably got used to that its dead and felt herself at-home comfortable. Ok I would be fine with it if she had a good voice at least?! Honestly for a second I felt like I am a guest at her house and instead of providing service she was just being enough nice to us as a strangers at her property). Our table wasn’t served and organized I had to ask for napkins and soy souse since it had absolutely nothing sitting on it. At this point I was already very hungry and kinda upset so I thought to myself just to eat quick and leave. And here comes the food. Just saying. Tofu pad thai is one of my fav from verity that Thai kitchen offers. I know how it should taste. First of all sprouts grossed me out. Instead of fresh bright-color ones I saw kinda soggy dark brown ends on it… Ew! I put them aside and try the noodles. Ok where are the peanuts? No peanut flavor??? Noodles were very greasy, tofu also was very oily tasting. I was so hungry so I swallow my pride and started eating. My husband seemed to enjoy his chicken pad se ew but I could not make it though my plate. I just spit out the whatever was in my mouth in a napkin and put the dish aside. The yucky idk what aftertaste remained on my tongue… Honestly if we had a car I would just stand up and drive to another place. I just patiently waited till my husband got done with his plate. Both of ladies came up to us couple of times asking if we are happy with everything. I just remained silent. I am not into roasting businesses and I swear to God I was not planning to put this review until I came back home and got sick with my stomach on top of everything. Shout out to frontdesk girl again! She pretty much made the whole experience. At some point it even got entertaining but girl that is not how service works! Honestly my worst experience with restaurant ever in my life including my 23 years of living in Russia… Bad service. Bad food. Thank you for experience. Never coming back. End.

Nice clean place, food tasted very good and fresh. The service needs to improve more, they are a little slow even though there was only 3 tables with customers. I hope it gets better with time, since it is a new place. I was very pleased with the place and their food. I will be coming back soon.

Had the BBQ Chicken. Took it a la carte, so I cant speak for the service, however, the fee for buying less than a certain amount is $ 1.00. That’ll cost ya a star. However, I did take the BBQ chicken ala carte, and it was glorious. Whatever they marinade the chicken in is awesome, and I didn’t even need the sauces they threw in(without my asking). I did use some of the sweet chili sauce, but the chicken was really on point. Good stuff. 4 stars for awesome Thai BBQ chicken.

This review is for the new Lemongrass Thai on Desoto in Canoga Park. This place is fantastic. Everyone working there are so nice and friendly. The place in very clean and has a nice atmosphere. The food is unbelievable. Everything we’ve tried has been great. If you don’t know Thai food the servers will be glad to recommend something. We’ve been here a few times now and seem to get William as our server every time. He’s a cool guy and has recommended a few different dishes, all have been great. Can’t wait to go back again. All dishes are served with 4 different heats depending on your taste.

Would have earned the 5th star but service was a bit slow due to there being one chef on hand on this particular day. On top of that I went with a party of 14 people. Now food quality: Great Food not humongous quantities but decent serving size Food was served hot at stayed warm through out the meal. Peanut Chicken was great. Mongolian beef was almost great but the neat was slightly chewy. Spicy Shrimp Noodle was truly spicy enough to satisfy most. This place is Halal(Muslim version of kosher), had a diverse variety consumers, from all races and creeds. Décor was a solid 4⁄5 compared to other halal restraunts. It had a beautiful water fall by the entrance. Actual glass was used for drinking(no plastic glasses yay!!!) Plates were clean and spotless and flatware was pretty clean.

It’s Thai and now it’s halal! YAY! Love the food! For me, it’s right up there with Lum Ka Naad. This is a newer, bigger location. Service is sometimes slow, as are credit card machines. But, I really like the food. Portion size is pretty good too for the price. Lunch is best! Good portion, better price. Dishes I like: Pad Grapow, Spicy Noodle, Ginger Chicken, Orange Chicken, Rolls. I haven’t really tried the rest but, this place hits the spot!

I am writing this as I sit inside the restaurant waiting for the order I intended to have DELIVERED to my home. Don’t get me wrong, the food is great. Normally I order delivery so I can’t comment on the service. Today after I paid for this food to get delivered, I got a phone call that their delivery person was not available tonight. That I must cancel my order online and that they couldn’t refund my order right then so I thought, oh well it’s not too far– I’ll go pick it up. I was told that it would be 15 minutes so to be safe, I waited 15 minutes before leaving my house. When I got here 5 minutes ago I was told it was going to be an additional 10 minutes before my food is ready. On top of all this, I was offered no additional incentives to ever want to order from here again. Not even a $ 1 off coupon to cover the delivery charge that I paid for, as cheap as that may be. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. UPDATE: I just got a phone call waking me up at MIDNIGHT on a Wednesday from the same number that was used to alert me earlier to the lack of a delivery man. Not certain if it is the restaurant itself or just the same employee, regardless it is extremely unprofessional. This is one of two Unilocal reviews I have ever written. Suffice to say I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the service this restaurant has provided. or rather the lack thereof.

Today was our first time at Lemongrass Thai(also, I accidentally checked-in at their other location) and it definitely will not be our last! Before I go into the food, I would like to say that the aesthetics of the restaurant are beautiful. The energy, colors and ambiance are perfect for a casual lunch or fancy dinner. I enjoyed the energy and reception as soon as my family and I entered. Above all, it is extremely clean! To begin we were seated by Joey, who would be our server. Joey, was amazing! He was helpful and very attentive, not to mention has great manners. We sat down, and right away he asked us if we would like to drink something. He returned quickly with our drink orders and we then ordered Tom Yom Soup(veggie) and vegetable tempura. He returned to check in and we asked him for suggestions, as we usually do when going to a new place. He suggested we get the Pad See Ew, which we ordered along with Garlic Chicken, Mongolian Beef and a small rice. He brought out he soup and tempura at once and both were amazing. As soon as we delved into them we realized we may have ordered a lot but figured it’s great leftover food. As we were still enjoying our appetizers, Joey brought out our main entrees. Honestly, the food was AMAZING. The ingredients are fresh, well spiced and seasoned. The meat in the Magnolian Beef was tender and flavored by the garlic and ginger sauce. The chicken was also tender and full of flavor. Our daughter’s favorite though was Joey’s suggestion, the Pad See Ew. It was all quite spectacular! We enjoyed all of the food, the service and the overall ambiance. Finally, the food is HALAL! For those of you who do not know, Halal is the Islamic counterpart to Kosher. Just as with Kosher, Halal meats only uses the finest meat and the process of slaughtering effects the quality of the meats. Will be back soon!

I came here on a Sunday afternoon(12÷19÷15) — more like brunch? The place was empty literally 3 tables with people eating. The service was not okay. For the amount of people in the restaurant I expected better service. I asked for water not once but, three times. They finally brought a jar of water. Instead the workers were folding bags and wrapping up plastic forks or spoons together. Pad See Ew 4 stars (I felt like the sauce was too salty — The egg noodles were all stuck together making it difficult to share with someone) Wonton Soup 5 stars (It was delicious, plenty of veggies and wontons. The small portion was enough to share with two people) Cashew Chicken 3 stars (Very salty and alots of curry. Not enough veggies. Portion is good enough to share with someone) I hope to return and maybe the service is better and food has change a bit.

This place was just horrible — from the service to the extensive charges on my credit card(that they removed after i went in there and threatened to report them as fraud to my bank) it feels like you are eating at all you can eat buffet — the place is never full and can seat around 500 if needed(you feel awkward sitting in a huge stark restaurant with no1 there and servers staring at you) — i was hoping to find a good THAI place around but i will keep looking I usually never Unilocal bad — when bad i just keep to myself but this one deserves a review

Lemongrass ha should be called Lemongross! I don’t understand why this place is highly rated. This place was sooooo bad. We came here on a Sunday night and seriously they had more diners than servers and the food was seriously awful. I had family who came out of town and I had hyped this place up so much I felt so embarrassed and apologized to my family about how bad I felt. First off the service here was sooooo BADDD!!! Our server didn’t even give us refills and ordering took forever. We even wanted to order more food but we couldn’t get anyones attention. I had to go up to our server and tell her and than after 15mins I checked up on her and she said she still has to put in the order. Ughhhh! The spicy noodles were burnt as you can see from the picture and the chicken fried rice came out warm almost cold. The seafood soup was okay and just overall a very bad experience. I was thinking they were having an off day but when the service is bad as well as the food that tells you something. The party next to us too wanted water refills too and they went up to the server to get refills. So pathetic. Definitely won’t be going back ever!

I had no idea this was a halal thai place. I used to come here when it was an indian restaurant. the owner told me they just opened about a month ago. I got the pad see ew, which was super tasty. Best ive ever had? definitely not. but it was pretty good. I also had a thai iced tea which was average, nothing special. Service was off since i walked in. I waited to be greeted for a solid 10 mins — there was no one in sight. I saw someone speaking to a family who looked like they were interested in renting the place for a party — but i woulda thought that the employee helping them would have seen me waiting — and called someone to come to the register. It took a minute, but everything was fine thereafter. I picked my order up, so im not too sure how the service is here when you dine-in. This place is local so i might possibly come back.

First time trying out this new place, I ordered orange chicken, pineapple fried rice and garlic pepper beef for delivery. They said it would take 45 – 60 mins and delivery guy came on time not over 1 hr. I would gave 5 stars but the pineapple fried rice was blend. It could use a lil bit more soy sauce and I don’t like how the have big pieces of green onions. Other than that orange chicken and garlic pepper beef were tasty and yummy. Definitely will be ordering more from this place.

First time ordering from here and I fell in LOVE. Usually order Thai food from Jasmines Thai but lately everything has been tasting watered down and bland. Got the seafood soup #22 which was okay nothing incredible but I also got the pad Thai which was so yummy and the pineapple curry, I’ve never actually ordered curry from a restaurant so for being my first time trying it was AMAZING. The only problem would be that they took a little over an hour to deliver but for being a rainy Sunday night, that’s completely understandable, no one wants to go out. And plus the delivery guy was the sweetest, he called to tell me that he was floored with deliveries and kept apologizing even as he was handing me my food. So overall 5 stars and definitely ordering again.

Lemongrass has always been my favorite Thai spot around the valley to grub out. I always use to go to the Sherman way and farralone location with family and friends, but recently I went to the new location on Sherman way and De Soto. The outside has its own parking lot with a elegant sign that grabs your attention. When you walk through the door you get to see a spacious beautiful restaurant with Décor from Thailand according to my waiter. There is a nice waterfall right in the center that give this restaurant a nice feel while you’re eating your food. The food is amazing it is as good or better than Lemongrass #1. Some of my favorite things to order is tom yum, green curry, spicy catfish, prik king, Spicy noodle, pad gra pow, and cashew chicken. I live closer the the other location but I definitely wouldn’t mind an extra 5 min drive to come here.

Excellent tasting dishes! We ordered the orange chicken, and the pad thai with chicken. I must say this must be the best orange chicken I have ever tried in my life. The pad thai was also exceptional. Flavors on point, and the orange chicken had a perfect crunch. My new go-to Thai restaurant in the valley. Doesn’t look that inviting from the outside, but inside behold a very beautiful friendly looking ambiance. I can’t say enough about this place.

Is Gordon Ramsay the chef here? This place is phenomenal on so many levels. The outside décor is inconspicuous and styled delicately. However, the delicate design masks the amazing interior of this place. When I say high end, I mean high end design and decorations fill the interior. There is definitely a «Wow» factor when you walk in. An amazing waterfall with Lemon Grass logo written in the background, Thai décor, great colors and very nice layout. If you want to impress a date, take him/her here during the evening time. It’s classy in here. We ordered the Pad Thai, which is our staple dish in determining the quality and authenticity of food at any Thai restaurant. We also ordered the Orange chicken dish. Both were delicious and certainly Lemon Grass put their own spin on things in each dish, but only to benefit the overall flavors. Pad Thai was delicious. So delicious we decided to order a second serving. The orange chicken was incredible! The chicken was was tender, but the breading was crunchy. The orange flavor sauce was so good and definitely not a comparison between Panda Express and here. That would be like comparing a Ferrari to a Prius! There is no comparison. Pad Thai cost $ 9 and the Orange Chicken cost $ 10. Both are for the entrée size meals. They do however have lunch specials if you are interested. Service was great. It was a little quiet in there, but nevertheless our server was attentive. I had a chance to meet the son of the owners and get some insight into the business. They are good people looking to open and keep the Valley’s best tasting Thai restaurant by making sure their quality meets the customer’s exceptions and only using the best quality ingredients. This place is halal, which is the same as kosher. Again, goes to show that quality is important at Lemon Grass. I used to be a fan of Exotic Thai located some 5 miles from Lemon Grass, but I have to say that this spot took over 1st place in my book. Way to go guys! I wish you lots of success!

You have to try out the spicy noodles. This place is a clean, large restaurant. It’s a hidden gem in a not so nice part of town but you forget all about that once you’re in the restaurant. The only gripe I have is that some of their take out items are kind of small. Other than that there’s plenty to go around.

They still have a few issues to work out, but overall it was a pretty good experience. Went during lunch, but we weren’t given the menus with lunch specials(only dinner menus) until we asked for them. The lunch specials come with a small salad, which in my experience is usually served before the entrees. In our case, they seemed to have been forgotten until we asked for them(after getting our entrees). But otherwise service was fine and very friendly. My entrée, spicy vegetables with chicken, had just the right amount of heat. They offered brown rice substitution in place of white for only 50 cents. Unlike several other reviews here, the wait for food after we ordered wasn’t bad at all(about 10 minutes). Overall, a good lunch at a reasonable price.

My mom and I originally ordered dinner for take out. We went to pick up our food and we debating if we should eat at the restaurant or not. My mom decided we just eat there. This restaurant just open. And it is not so busy once we got inside. We told the guy at the front desk that we ordered for take out but we decided we just want to eat here. He was nice and let us sit anywhere we like. Telling our waitress we wanted to eat at the restaurant. My mom and I we ordered yellow curry with chicken. And also ordered fried rice combination. Our yellow curry dish was not that big portion side. But our fried rice was alot of food. The service and our meal was very nice and good. I love the atmosphere. I hope my mom and I will return here soon once I am in this area again.

Update: Went again a week later for Boss’s birthday. Food still look forever to come out. Budget for a 1.5~2+ hour lunch. Food was excellent. Eggrolls w/lunch special can still be a little hotter(temp). I also suggest asking your patrons when they order off the menus if they want salad or free drink. Lunch special menu says free drink. My cowoker was given a side salad without being asked which was nice except she’s allergic to some of the ingredients. Yup, no good. C’mon. I would like this business to last. Get it together please.
