I am a total newbie when it comes to Persian food but this place is off the hook good! The chicken was perfectly moist and that beef kabob left me wanting more. The staff there is super friendly and even brought the food out to my van since I’m in a wheelchair when I picked it up.

I love coming here. One of my favorite place to get kabobs. I love the chicken koobideh with balsamic rice. The flavor in chicken. Omg, maakes my mouth water. We also had the shirazi salad. I love, love their salad. Not oily just right. I been coming here on and off for a couple of years now. Their lunch special is great too.

We enjoyed the dinner it was not the best in town we had. This is an Iranian restaurant and I am not familiar much with the taste. Saying to give you a clear picture on my review. I found the koobideh tasteless/bland and smelly. For my taste buds it needs more chilli and aromatic spices. Prices are on the higher side and menu selection is limited. Portion size is very big.

I would definitely recommend their food. It is fulfilling and simple in a good way. There is however few things the restaurant can improve on. They have amazing chopped salad that has vinegar and oil dressing. If they were to use fresh lemon juice and olive oil. It would really make it more enjoyable for all. Also offering the same salad instead of rice with every dish. Also the boneless chicken is on the dry side .I also wish they offered dark meat which could be less dry. Another negative is when you call in for order. They keep saying«what else?» I find that rude. I think they should be asking«anything else I can get for you or would that be all?. They lack in customer service when you call in however they always give extra bread and pack everything neatly. They are not very cheerful or happy to see anyone when you go in. When I went there there was a lady and she had no smile or any customer service except charging me and giving me my food. The owner however goes extra mile, he brought all the food to my car, opened the door for us one time. Most positive note is that it’s a halal establishment that you can trust.

Menu price on eat 2412.25. Website price 12.95. Charged 12.99. Ah ok… Ordered at 11:50 am. Got there at 12:04 pm. Told me it was gonna be 15 mins. Then told me 5 mins. Food picked up at 12:27 pm. Seems they push back online orders depending on people dining in. No apology for wait… eat24 sent me text that there is a delay but didn’t receive it until I got back since I left the phone at home. Regardless I had to wait which I didn’t enjoy. Whatevers… Lunch came with soup… no spoon.

I have been going to house of Shishkabab for long time. Their food is always great and consistent. They use the best quality meet and chicken and their plates are reasonably priced. I have also use their catering services Many times and they always met my expectation. I highly recommend This place.

If ordering takeout, please make sure they give you some utensils. Let me tell you, I was starving and ready to eat my food at work only to see no fork. no spoon. Zip. Ugh. Rice isn’t the best finger food. I ordered the koobideh combo, that comes with beef, chicken and rice $ 10.99. Reasonably priced. Now as for the kabob, the beef one had an interesting flavor, I wouldn’t say I enjoyed that however. The texture of the chicken was a pit«plastic» like. The flavor of the chicken kabob was better then the beef, but the texture of the beef was better. Now if only they can combine the best of both kabobs. Great if you call ahead because pickup is usually ready within 10 – 15 minutes. They took my name over the phone but didn’t label it, so there was some confusion during the pick up. As for customer service, didn’t feel very welcoming.

Rice was cooked right and very authentic, luleh was the right amount of meat vs fat combo and cooked evenly and thoroughly. Service is great and attentive. Located inside a shopping center off of Mason with limited seating outside.

Pretty good. Not spicy but everything is fresh n meat is always juicy Love their soup which is definitely underrated. Everytime i’ve gotten food to go, its packed very nicely, the bread is cut into squares n everything is wrapped up properly to avoid spills, i wish more restaurants would pay attention to that

Have gone to this place 3 times the last two weeks. Food quality and consistency was excellent. Could definitely see myself eating here regularly. Rice was super hot and fluffy, beautifully cooked white meat chicken. Love the thin pita bread served with butter. You get your money’s worth here, large portions. Clean, inviting place. Kind service as well. Can’t go wrong.

Convenient location for when I’m at my grandmother’s, which is about a mile north. Haven’t had it awhile so decided to try it out again. My norm is more central to the valley but like I said, this place is more convenient for me. Ordered chicken two ways: koobideh and kebab. Comes with a grilled tomato, rice, fresh white onion, bread, butter, lemons, and surprisingly a chicken soup. Didn’t come with all this stuff months ago. So no complaints. Chicken was still juicy, which is always a plus. Enough food for at least two meals or to share of course. Remember: food adventures are out there. Eat ‘em up!

Great food, excellent service and clean. My husband and I were starving after a meeting in the area. We stumbled upon it hunting for something we are in the mood for. It was worth it! We will definitely come back if we are in the area!

This is my new fav local spot. I’ve eaten here twice in 4 days which is a big deal for me. My favorite is the Koobideh(ground) beef and chicken combo kebab meal. Each meal comes with a lot of fluffy rice and a grilled tomato. It is a must to get the combo appetizer which includes two kinds of yogurt sauce and hummus. The dolmas are delicious. Each meal comes with a lot of bread and half an onion with cold butter! You get a lot of food for about $ 10 a dish!

Went here today for the first time. Small place, but very good food. I was the only one in there around 4:45PM. A man greeted me and I decided to sit outside. I had the shish kabob, it was flavorful and tender. Plenty of rice for leftovers too. Grilled onions and green pepper and tomato and bread, all included. I ordered a side of shirazi salad for tomorrow’s lunch. The people who work there and friendly too. Plenty of parking in the Vons shopping center. I will defintely come again or order to go when in the area. Very good, fresh food!

The more I come here the more I LOVE it. Definitely worth the drive from West Hills for lunch. The beef khoobideh is soooo good! It’s juicy and flavorful. The shish kebab is very tender and the meat really does just all apart in your mouth. My friend recently introduced me to Halal meats then brought me here to prove her point. Man did it hit the ball out of the park!!! You might not believe it but the difference is undeniable. I might even venture to say that it even beats the difference one notices when eating organic vs. non-organic meats. The staff are nice and friendly and there’s plenty of parking to choose from.

I decided to give this place a try based on how many starts/reviews they had. I was NOT impressed. I can’t believe all the reviews saying this is the best Persian food in the valley– have you even tried other places?(Shamshiri, Darband, Sadaf, Shiraz) I am Persian, so I know tasty Persian food, and let me say, the food here is not worthy of more than 2 stars. First, I ordered tadig off the menu, and they said they didn’t have any at that time. You don’t have any tadig at a Persian restaurant? It was 1:00pm. Next, I asked to have shish kabob in the lunch menu sandwich, instead of kubideh, and he told me they don’t like to do that because the shish kabob is too dry to do that. I appreciate him telling me what he feels is the better choice, but as a customer very familiar with type of food, I would really appreciate it if he just let me order what I wanted. So instead of the sandwich I ordered a shish kabob plate, and the meat wasn’t soft or tasty like it’s supposed to be. The salad shirazi was good, and I asked for raw onion which he provided. I won’t eat here again.

Outstanding Iranian food! I LOVE their whole menu. You can find all the Iranian staple foods. The staff here is wonderful. Our server was a young lady and she was so helpful and kind. It’s a little deceiving on the outside, you’d think it’s just a to-go hole in the wall, and it is in a sense, but they have a nice dining area inside and out that transforms into a casual romantic setting at night. The food here is simply superb. I was craving koobideh the whole day and finally we decided to give this restaurant a try. Their food hit the spot. I discovered kashouke which is a traditional Iranian eggplant dish that comprises of herbs, yogurt, grilled garlic and onions aka my new favorite middle eastern side dish. The portions here are huge! They are very generous with the sizes, you will probably have a bunch left over. I loved the chicken koobideh too, I’ve never had chicken koobideh, this may be my new favorite. I love that most of the people who dine here are Iranian or middle eastern, to me that translates: authentic Iranian food. Everything is reasonably priced. $ 10.50 for a huge plate of koobideh, a grilled tomato, raw onions over a bed of tumeric basmati rice. Next time I’ll make sure to save room for the traditional Iranian rosewater gelato.

By far the BEST Persian food in the north valley. Very consistent and the cuts of meat are never fatty and meats are always cooked to perfection(never under or over cooked) I have tried almost every Persian cuisine in the north valley and this one is by far the best. The the hummus is delish, the boneless chicken kabob is so tasty and loaded with flavor and the beef koobideh is tender and juicy. All in all I am a huge fan and I suggest anyone who loves this type of cuisine to try this place before you try any of their competition. I’ve done the ground work and they are the best in my opinion.
