To see this store get 2 stars is awful. I gave it five stars because of the relationship a lot of my friends and family had with a former manager named Victoria. She was awesome!!, took care of everyone of my friends and family members when they need any electronic device or accessories. She is now a manager close to her home of New York, of which she will be greatly missed. So now I have made friends with a sales associate named Kyle. As young as he is, to me he is the male version of Victoria. Took great care of my mom when she got her iPhone 6 upgrade. According to my mom even though the store was busy he took care of her and the customers. Showing her how to work the phone. Oh boy now my mom is the texting queen, Selfies and all! Yikes! Radio shack is still my favorite store for all me electronic accessories and phone upgrades.

I only go here for spare parts when I’m repairing some electrical item. They have a pretty good selection of electronic parts, cables, switches, plugs, that kind of stuff. Most of the time I can find what I need. The guys that work there are mostly kids or young men and women and usually don’t know anything about electronics so you have to be prepared when you go in. I think radio shack has become mostly about selling cell phones so it’s not like it used to be. I hear that Radio Shack headquarters is going to have to close a few hundred stores so I’m hoping this won’t be one of them. It has served me well for many years. I miss the old days when they had the battery club. LOL They gave you a card for free and you could pick out one free battery a month. They would punch the card each time you picked one up. I used to get a free 9 volt every month.

There was a day when Radio Shack used to be awesome. You could buy all kinds of electrical hobby stuff, cool toys, neat projects… not anymore. Radio Shack is an empty husk of what it used to be and this location in particular is one of the worst. Unless you’re looking for cell phones or cell phone accessories you’re pretty much s.o.l. Trying to find a 555 timer? Nope, not here. Resistors? Well… they’re all disheveled in a bank of drawers where nothing is where it should be. How they stock this nightmare is beyond me, but again, judging by the holes in their inventory I imagine they don’t, so you may not even find something that common here. Now if you want a Samsung Galaxy S3… no, you’re still better off going somewhere else. I went in trying to find a male to male type A USB cable for an external hard drive enclosure I have and the employee began to argue with me that they didn’t exist. Ignore the dozen examples I found on my phone, in his and later his manager’s words«That doesn’t make sense. Nobody makes those.» So if you expect the staff to be helpful, you should expect an arrogant ex-best buy employee who thinks they know wayyy more than you do. Don’t give these guys the commission.
