This is the one at the mall. First of all all seats give way to an arctic blast whenever anyone opens the door. I asked them to turn up the heat. There were four of us. Two lo mien noodles and two pad thai. Waiter brought three noodles and one pad Thai. One of us had to wait until everyone was almost done to eat her food. No apologies were made and no offer of her meal being taken off the check !!! Finally she had to suggest herself a free dessert!!! No sure what happened to this place but not what it used to be at all Disappointed.

Best sushi in town. If you are looking for great sushi then you won’t be disappointed. I’ve always enjoyed their rolls and ½ off prices from 4 – 6. I’m only give the place 3 stars, because I am surprised by their new menu with more traditional Asian dishes. Maybe it’s because they just switched the menu, but my boyfriend got the peppered steak and it was just really bland and not very enjoyable. I love sushi, but I always enjoyed coming here so that my non sushi loving friends could enjoy a variety of Mediterranean and American options, but that is not the case since that changed the menu. I am the most upset that they no longer have the fried green beans! I would be interested to know what others thought of the new menu. Maybe it’s just me, but I would be really happy to have the old menu back.

Got the Vanilla Gorilla and really enjoyed it. The roll tasted fresh and came to me I a timely fashion. Our waitress, Becky, was hilarious and made us feel very welcome. She even made me a cherry coke from scratch! I will be coming back soon.

Nikki’s is usually my go to place for Sushi. The fried rolls are my favorite. A friend and I tried to get Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo but the line was too long so we ended up at Nikki’s next door. There was only one other table, which may have been due to the holiday or the quality of food and service. For appetizers we ordered shrimp dumplings and fried tofu, both were wonderful. The tofu had a thick tempura breading and juicy moist inside. I love tofu and I will definitely be back for more. The dumplings did not seem fresh but the taste was satisfying. For my entrée I decided to order the special: chicken breast with bbq aioli, sautéed greens and potato hash. The dish was flavorful but clearly composed of kitchen leftovers. The chicken was so tough that I needed a steak knife to cut and the hash was just potatoes. Correct me if I’m wrong but hash must have other components besides potatoes. Overall the meal was mediocre and disappointing. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Excellent sushi at a very reasonable price… but only 4 stars because it takes so long to get your sushi after its ordered!

It was okay. Compared to other sushi restaurants it was very sub-par. I ordered the shrimp tempura and my shrimp seemed very soggy. California roll was bland. A bit pricey for the quality of the food in my opinion. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly either and dropped my credit card in our food and didn’t apologize about it. Probably won’t see me back there again.

Best sushi in Wilmy is not saying much considering the sushi in this town is seriously lacking. However, the sushi here is really not bad at all… good fish to rice ratio, could stand to cut back on the spicy mayo. Happy hour is an amazing deal too! My boyfriend and I came here by chance and had a really enjoyable experience. At first we thought our waiter was an emo college kid. But then, completely out of nowhere, he became this super personable server, answered questions about the business, and volunteered info on the happy hour. Basically he sold us and we had sushi 3 times that week– each time at a different Nikki’s.

Ok, so after a hiatus from this place my friends and I decided to come back here. We got there during half price sushi and appetizers. That was good. I ordered everything I wanted at once, edamame, sushi, and a bento box. Our server, Jerald, did not tell me that the bento box came with edamame so I essentially paid for two orders of it. The reason I didn’t know that is because I didn’t know they changed their bento boxes. The old ones didn’t include edamame. So I was pretty pissed that he failed to mention that detail to me. Moving on. He never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. I hate having to flag down servers for refills when they should be periodically checking on their tables. I’m a former server, so I know what to do and what not to do. Then our checks came. My bill had some change included at the end so I gave exact change and a larger bill that I wanted changed back to me. Well, Jerald must have thought that the change was his to keep because he never gave me my change back. That is what pissed me off the most. Never in my time as a server did I ever keep change. I always left it up to the customer to leave me what they felt I deserved. So, Jerald got an almost 20% tip from me even though his service was poor and that he failed to let me know that my meal came with Edamame. I wanted to talk to a manager but all I saw was Jerald and the sushi chefs. I don’t even think a manager was there. Lesson learned. I refuse to come back to this location. Once again, Military Cutoff has way better food and staff.

I’ve been back to Nikki’s several times since my first review and I have to say I’m a fan. The bento boxes are alright, but the sushi is where it’s at! The staff are all friendly and parking is much easier(and free) at this location compared with the original Nikki’s downtown. I love the sunshine roll(cucumber, avocado, and lemon wedge) and the vegetable goyza are a great too. Nikki’s has a number of vegetarian and vegan menu options.

Love coming here week days for happy hour! Great sushi and appetizers for reasonable price. I enjoy getting the specials, two rolls for the price of one. Great way to try new sushi. :)

To be fair, I grew up in Japan so I am looking for something entirely different in a sushi place. I suppose this is a decent place for American sushi. They have creative uses of avocados and mangos and cream cheese and tempura crunchies, and colorful color combos in artistic rolls, and creative sauces topping it all. If you are looking for Japanese sushi, look elsewhere. Ordering green tea came as a surprise to them. I don’t think the sushi chefs or the Asian server were Japanese. If the sushi rice had vinegar, I couldn’t taste it. In an American sushi place, none of these factors really matter. Bottom line is, every business caters to a certain population. If you’re looking for the fast-growing art form of American sushi, by all means try this place. If you just want your mug of green tea and down-home sushi with soy sauce, maybe with a self-assured Japanese sushi chef to talk to at the bar if you’re lucky, this is not the place for it.

We got there at 9 they close at 10, at 9:20 they came as told us they were closing the kitchen if we wanted anything else. And then kept staring at us like we were making them stay late. Then at 9:45 they turned off the music trying to rush us. It was very rude they don’t even close until 10! And the sushi was just alright.

In the past I would have probably given nikkis a better score but in the past couple of months they have gone downhill. After today I will give them one more time but if it is the same I will probably opt for somewhere else. I was meeting someone there so I ordered my tea. I wrote out my food on the erasable menu and then started to read a book. It took to long to get my drink, which I find to be a problem alot when we go in, and then my guest arrived. We ordered our food, she ordered a sweet tea. I actually received part of my food before she got her tea.(She had to ask for it again) It just seems that lately the servers are very complacent and don’t care if they give you good service or not. That is a big part of the bad rating. The other thing was that I LOVE kani salad. I tried it for the first time when I started going to nikkis. It was always very tasty. I told alot of other people how good it was. But, again, this hasn’t been the case lately. And today it just flat out looked and tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge all put together and they pulled it out and served it.(I don’t really think they did but that is how it looked). Unfortunately that is also how it tasted. The tempura flakes were few(this might have been a blessing) and they were mushy. I hope that they get theirselves together. I really used to like it there.

I’ve only been here once, and I played it safe by ordering my favorite kind of sushi(a Rainbow Roll), and had to get take-out — but the sushi was sufficiently nom-to-the-nomz. I know another local sushi place that’s cheaper, and has much better ingredients, but I’d order from here again if I wanted to stick around the mall.

The mall is right by where I work, so a co-worker and I ran over to Nikki’s for lunch. They had just opened and we were the first to be seated. We ordered a few rolls and talked. Over the next twenty minutes, several other tables were seated and one of those tables received their food first. Normally, not really cause for thought except we were running out of time to eat our meal. I asked the server when ours would be ready and she flatly told us it would be out soon, that since we got there as they opened they hadn’t got everything prepared yet. Now that’s odd, because the other table already got their rolls. She was kinda rude, actually, so boo. The food was good. I got a fantasy roll and it was just delicious. Also I had a roll that contained cooked tuna. I wasn’t expecting that but I was quick with the menu. My co-worker had a delightful little roll, but I can’t recall what it is. Sorry, however my point is that the sushi was well prepared, the wasabi was nice and hot, and I would totally go back for lunch. The restaurant itself was very well maintained and clean with atmosphere you wouldn’t expect at a mall restaurant. The bathroom was spotless and decorated, absolutely necessary for me, I have to say. So why the two? I have experienced better sushi, even though it was quite good. The server’s inability to be at all friendly is probably the kicker, though… that’s nearly as important to me as the restrooms. The food could be the tastiest thing to ever cross your lips but if the service isn’t great and the bathroom is dirty you can’t really enjoy the food.
