So good! We weren’t really sure what to expect but wanted to try something different for lunch. We came in and were seated immediately. I ordered the beef bento box which had a huge variety– even more than I expected from a bento box. The fried sweet potato pieces were awesome. We also tried the fried dumpling appetizer which was great. I had the Vietnamese coffee and liked it so much I ordered another. My husband got a chicken meal that was pretty spicy but he enjoyed it. It came with several pickled vegetable accompaniments. We were very happy with the food and service and will definitely be back.

This restaurant had a nice feel inside when my husband and i went in. I ordered my favorite bul-go-gee(korean marinated beef) and my husband ordered soon-du-boo-jigae(korean spicy tofu soup with seafood). My order comes with miso soup and white rice. My husbands order comes with white rice and both of ours comes with side dishes. The food took a long time and the service from the waitress was alright. The miso soup was forgotten and usually the side dishes would already be out before the food, but they both came out the same time. Overall, the food was amazing and WORTH the wait, but the server was a bit slow and forgot some things we said such as the miso-soup and my husbands spoon. It could have some improvements, but it’s a great experience to try KOREANFOOD!

Champong absolutely exploding with rich complex flavors. I heard they will make specialties not on the menu if you ask.

Good flavors, the portions of meat in the dishes are a little small for the price. The atmosphere is nice, the wait staff was very attentive, and the food came out hot and fresh. Me and my girlfriend drove 2.5 hours to try this place, it was good but not quite worth the drive.

It was nice to find a Korean restaurant that has stone bowls and a modest variety of dishes(where I live currently, there are no Korean restaurants at all). That being said, I was unimpressed with the portions. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer(they have a mish-mash of Korean and Japanese food) and it came out promptly. However, it had only two pieces of shrimp and some shredded vegetables cooked in tempura style. For my entrée I ordered the bibimbap stone bowl with beef. While it was nice and hot, it had a minuscule portion of meat. My boyfriend ordered the yakisoba with chicken – again, barely any meat. I will say that the flavors were overall good and the service was spot on. The waitress was perfectly nice and attentive. I wasn’t wowed by the restaurant, but it wasn’t horrible.

This place is amazing. I’ve been here multiple times and I’m not even from this area. Don’t listen to the bad reviews. I’ve had nothing but good service here.

If you want to have authentic Korean food in Wilmington, Kabuki is probably the one and only place to go. My two visits so far were both quite pleasant. Their food and ambience are very good. If there was one thing that I think they could improve, it would be their side dishes. In all the other Korean restaurants I’ve been to, they would serve 5 – 8 different side dishes upfront regardless of what you order for appetizer or entrée. Here the typical side dishes come only with my entrée, and there are few varieties. I never asked for«refills» of the side dishes, but I have a feeling that they will not be so generous about this.

Lunch at the Kabuki Korean Café & Sushi today was excellent! My work mate and I started off with Steamed Pork Dumplings and a Kimchi Pancake. For main courses I had a Seafood Stone Bowl and my workmates had Japche. The appetizers were very good. My Seafood Stone Bowl was perfect! The bowl was that perfect temperature and continued to sear the rice to that crispy dried consistency that is the reason they serve it in a stone bowl! Included in the meal was soup, pickles, kimchi, sprouts, and a few others. The person who waited on us was very nice and patient with our questions. The restaurant was simply decorators, a shorts or jeans kind of place. Good food, and a friendly staff earns the Kabuki Korean Café 5 Stars!

Hidden family-run gem in Wilmington. I have lived in Korea and have a Japanese mother-in-law so I have had my fair share of authentic Asian cuisine. This is one the best places in town for sushi and Korean dishes. They have made recent changes in décor and menu so if you haven’t been in a little while, try it again.

I know Korean food… And this is great. There are lots of choices from Korean to sushi. Please stop in and try it… The scallion pancake is out of this world.

We came in for dinner on Thursday night at 630, there was only one car in the lot aside from ours, no one in the restaurant to greet us. We could hear and see someone in the kitchen washing dishes. I loudly screamed out, «Hello?» three separate times with no reply. Needless to say, we went somewhere else for dinner…

This was my first Korean dining experience, and I can say I really enjoyed it! I got a BBQ pork dish. It came with white rice. The sauce was flavorful. The meat I think could have been of higher quality. My friends both got the bibimbap(veggies with egg on top) and THAT looked really good. Can’t wait to go back to try it. Also got a taste of the sushi — it was average, not great but definitely better than some other places in town. A great addition to Wilmington restaurants. Worth the trip a bit out of the way.

I’m in Wilmington for work for a few months, and having tried a few sushi places, I have to say Kabuki is the best I’ve had here so far. I’m from Los Angeles, so I found this place looking up the restaurant chain. While they share a similar logo to the Kabuki in Los Angeles, this place is privately owned. And while I’ve only been in for the sushi, I will definitely be returning soon for their Korean dishes. They seem to be the only restaurant I’ve found here with a full Korean menu, complete with ban chan to go with your meal. The staff is extremely friendly. I received a miso soup with my meal, and was offered a small salad, but I opted for some kimchi instead, which they readily brought to me. Kabuki is a bit hidden but well worth the search.
