Massage Envy – Monkey Junction

Very pleasantly surprised with my visit to this location. I have had less than great experiences at a couple of massage envys (on the west coast & in Atlanta area).
I was greeted by very polite front desk staff, offered water & paperwork to fill out. Johnnie was my massage therapist & he was very strong and good at deep tissue work. He listened to my concerns & requests for concentration in certain areas.
After the massage I was of course given the sell for membership as I checked out. I politely declined as I don’t like being locked into anything.
If someone gives you a gift certificate for massage envy or if your curious about checking it out, then I recommend the monkey junction location for friendliness of staff and quality of Johhnie’s massage if you require deep tissue work.

Fantastic staff. Scheduling is sometimes a little rough but they’re normally no top of their game. The member waiting room is a nice place to unwind before the session.

I have had hundreds of massages and this was the worst one I have ever had. I didn’t say anything at the time because I kept thinking that the woman was going to turn it around. I have had massages that started out painful, but they got better and worked out. I didn’t say anything when I left because I thought it was my own fault for not having said anything during the massage. I wouldn’t even write this review now if it wasn’t for one fact. A couple of days after the massage I got an email from Message Envy asking me how my massage went. So, I told them. It was painful from start to finish and afterward I was in far more pain than I had been going in. I said I appreciated them asking and where they asked if a manager could contact me I said that would be okay. I was never contacted and I still get tons of emails from them even though I was clear I would never go back. They had an opportunity at least, to try and win a customer back. They didn’t even try. Why did they ask if they didn’t want to know the truth.

Just had my third visit with Ali and everything was great as usual. She was very responsive to my requests and did a great job in our 1 ½ hour session. I scheduled about a week ahead of time and did not have a problem getting an appointment.
