This is not a brewery. Just a bar with food. Tap selection is ok. So many bars are trying to pass as a brewery these days. You actually need to make beer to be a brewery.

This might have been the worst food I had in my life. I hate to say this but it’s a simple fact. Before you jump the gun on me– please note– I was coming with my friends from a long day of boarding at Mount Snow and ready to smash ANYTHING. Usually at this point of hunger ANYTHING will taste amazing… Maple Leaf somehow managed to prove this notion wrong… I ordered the Turkey Burger, my friends ordered other sandwiches– we could barely finish half of our sandwiches. Prices were higher than average as well… and when accounting the overall quality of food… you couldn’t pay me to eat here… On the plus side– the nachos were actually bearable!!!

Amazing beer selection and delicious veggie options. I’ve had the veggie burger and the pesto portobello sandwich and both were excellent. Kiddos were happy about the kids menu. And don’t miss the brownie sundae.

In town visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday and stumbled upon the Maple Leaf. The bar had some open seats so we bellied up to the bar. The bartender was friendly and on point with her bar tending abilities. We ordered chips and salsa and a cheese burger with onion rings. The food we ordered was great. The chips were fresh and hot, the salsa cold and plentiful. The onion rings are to die for, one of the best we have ever had. One set back was the time we had to wait for the food. The chip and salsa was about 45 – 1 hour and the burger about an hour and a half. We were chatting and drinking while we waited but the time was a bit excessive. If the wait wasn’t so long it would be a five star review. The owner made an appearance at the bar and she was friendly and fun.

Nice location. The food is very yummy! All pub style, which is nice and relaxed. I would love to see a thanksgiving sandwich on the menu.

Sketchy service! We’re local and often the food is good and service can be fine. Last night the place was NOT crowded we waited for an hour and NO food. The drinks were fine and now gone. By the way, we have our four-year old with us. We finally ask if there is a problem and the lady tells me «you’re next». I motion to the other table already eating that came in after us and she says«I know, you are next» and walks away! Let that sink in and the hubby goes in to the kitchen where nothing’s being cooked. The order had not even been started on and the lady lies to us and says something spilled. The entire order? We’re offered crackers… Mistakes happen, but be honest, let your customers know what is going on and maybe try to be proactive in making up for it. We paid for the drinks and walked out. Our son was left exhausted and crying. Total disappointment in our tiny town with few food options.

Beers is excellent and so were the cider/coconut/curry mussels. Perfect place for a quiet Saturday afternoon lunch. Their house Maple Leaf Brown Ale is light and nutty. They also have a good selection of eight local craft beers. Wings were perfectly crispy and the artichoke dip was large and very flavorful.

I did not get to go the restaurant because they were closed. I am disappointed becAuse the steamers there were my favorite. I only hope they are closed for the season and not permanently! went there the next night. The mussels with spaghetti and garlic bread was amazing! The Vermont melt with cheddar cheese and green apples my hubby enjoyed! The Boston cream cake was very good. The waitress showed us the pictures of Irene and I am grateful this place is still here. I love getting steamers here in New England. The waitress was helpful and friendly.

Walking up to the place after day of skiing and smelling the aromas from the street had be ready to e in from the start. Inside we were greeted promptly and decided to sit at the bar. Service at that point was a little slow as it was sift change but our«new» server was very good. Nachos were very light and the salsa was flavorful. Cheese could have been distributed slightly better and more generously. But they were the lightest nachos I ever had and not it a bad way at all. My wings were pretty good. They didn’t blow me away but didn’t have to as they were wings! A little crispy and good flavor. Can’t ask for much more. The Shepard’s pie came out very good but maybe a light sauce should have been used to elevate the moisture content. All in all its a great place to stop on the way home from MT Snow.

You might be on day three of your ski trip, stretching your stamina to its fullest, so you try to take it easy at dinner one night, eat light, order the veggie burger. When it comes out deep fried, you’ll smile to yourself, repeat the mantra«you’re on vacation», and dive in. And you’ll love it. Plenty of beers on tap, sweet potato fries hit the spot, and the BBQ sauce for the wings was surprisingly tangy. All around great place!

Awful. Restaurant was freezing. We literally kept our winter coats on during the entire meal. Food was average at best and not made to order. Orders were delivered incorrectly. They were also out of 3 – 4 things on an already small menu. Service was slow and waitress indifferent. I’d give zero if I could. Only redeeming quality is a decent beer selection.

I do miss the days when the Maple Leaf was an operating brewery, but the size of the location just didn’t work as a brewpub. Tanks were traded for tables when the town voted down a proposed expansion. Luckily the current craft beer selection helps erase my fond memories of the past, and the staff and food keep me coming back. Another downtown Wilmington survivor from the devastating hurricane and flooding of 2011. Bouncing back from such a disaster couldn’t be easy, but Margaret(owner) is a strong woman rebuilt with determination. Menu stand outs for me are the Bloody Mary’s, their craft beer selection, nachos, and a VT melt with slices of granny smith apples, cheese, onions, and ham, on some fresh baked slices of hearty bread. There are usually 2 – 3 in house made soups that are perfect after a day on the slopes. Maple Leaf is an interesting place. You can show up and be 1 of 3 people in the entire place, or 1 of 100. Bar and wait staff are great, and true local VT’ers — not winter imports.

Stopped in for lunch and thought the atmosphere was nice. Cool little bar area with some tables to the side in downtown Wilmington. I had a chicken sandwich for lunch which was very good and my girlfriend got the nachos. They were good as well but she complained they were a bit greasy. One thing I did not like was there was one waitress on it took about 10 minutes before she even asked us what we want to drink. The food took awhile to come out too but overall a solid place to stop for lunch.

Hit and Miss. The artichoke dip, is phenomenal! They add a small amount of jalapeño to it which beautifully balances out the dairy in it. The goat cheese/portabella mushroom sandwich I got was ok, but the whole thing was a mess of juiciness. The bread could not compete with the balsamic reduction. It was just a wet soggy pile of food. I was also surprised by the limited number of taps. Nothing was brewed on site, so the name is a little misleading.

This was a great place in downtown Wilmington to grab lunch on our way back to NJ. It’s a small restaurant and bar with a sort of rustic feel. We were promptly seated at a table. I decided to order their Vegetarian chilli and sweet potato fries while my husband ordered a burger. Our waitress was friendly and brought out our food quickly. The side order of fries was huge! But the fries were delicious, not greasy, or too sweet. It was a great pair with the super spicy chilli! I couldn’t finish my food so I took it home with me. Next time we’re in town, we’ll have to try some of their local beers. Wilmington has been my favorite little town in Vermont that I’ve passed through.

Visiting Wilmington? Looking for good food and a friendly atmosphere? Look no further — Maple Leaf is the place you had in mind. Just keep in mind that they’re in no rush to get your out the door, so you shouldn’t be in a hurry, either. First things first: they have a very impressive beer list, so I highly recommend sticking with suds versus ordering their wines — just don’t. The beer ranges from local to picks from CO, and they always have daily specials on tap — just ask the server or check the chalkboard by the bar. Their menu looks mouth-watering, but I have to be honest: my burger was disappointing and over-cooked. It had all the makings of a superior meal: bacon, avocado and Swiss cheese, but without proper cooking or seasoning, it fell short. Where they do NOT fall short are the appetizers — we had some amazing fired pickled that were salty, crunchy and hot out of the fryer. They were a perfect accompaniment to the beers and quite easily the best fried pickles I have ever had. They also serve up a killer heap of nachos grande — we ordered sans meat and were still impressed with the fresh salsa, delicious cheeses and zesty jalapeño toppings. I had a few bites of the chicken quesadilla which was much better than my burger and packed up quite easily and reheated quite well for a take-out item. Also, their fries are fabulous — in fact, I filled up on these when my burger fell short. Again, the service, while incredibly friendly and helpful, was slow and a bit scattered. We were missing a few items and, by the time we got the bill and left, had been there for over two hours. Just keep this and the fact that they do not take reservations in mind when you visit, and you’ll have a fine time.
