Coastal Massage & Bodywork

My daughter and son-​in-​law treated me to a massage for my birthday, and it was wonderful. I have trouble with my neck and lower back, and Theresa concentrated on those areas with fantastic results. I highly recommend Coastal Massage and Bodywork!

I’ve come to believe there are three main tenets to overall well being — exercise, what and how much we put into our bodies, and massage. Theresa is excellent. I find myself in such a relaxed state afterwards, it would be difficult to measure the benefit. They have created a wonderful and convenient spa location.

Mariah and Lindsay took wonderful care of my husband and I for a couples massage. They were super sweet and provided exceptional service. The atmosphere was so relaxing and just so beautiful and quaint. We will be coming back to visit these ladies, next time we’ll do the 1.5hr :-)

As a massage pro (120+), I am particular about the experience. I look at everything — booking, cleanliness, smell, music, bed, oil, price for time & obviously the massage. Coastline met up to my high standards! The booking process was easy and self-​serve, which I always like. I also appreciate that their pricing online was clear and quite reasonable for the time slots. I did 2 hours and it was $ 140. The signage pulling into the location could be better, esp since it’s not well marked off a busy street. I was nervous bc the spa is located in a office-​like building, but when I walked into the suite it was soothing and spa like. The restrooms were clean and the team very friendly. My therapist was kind, funny and asked all the right questions — any focus areas, pressure, injuries, etc. The room temp was pleasant and the music/​sound machines soothing. At first I thought I’d be distracted by both music and ocean sounds, but it worked. The oil was not too sticky or thick either. I didn’t leave feeling like a grease ball. The massage was great; equal amount spent across my body. I should have asked for more time on my back bc it was bothering me, but that was on me. I should have also had her make the pressure a bit deeper, but again that’s in me speaking up. I have a bad muscle spot on my back and the massage flamed it up a bit. I said that we woke a sleeping giant. The therapist was accommodating in trying to help alleviate some of the pain during the rest of the massage. Once it was finished the team continued to be congenial and kind, as well as offering water and post-​massage recommendations. Overall great massage for a good price. If highly recommend.

Enjoyed my massage, I asked her for deep pressure and to work out my sore muscles, she definitely delivered.

After just moving from Nashville, and having a stressful month after relocation, this was my favorite new sanctuary in Wilmington! The décor reminds me of my favorite seaside spot and the girls are so accommodating and professional. My daughter who is 12 has been complaining about her back since we moved, and we were lucky to snag a cancellation and share a space during our massages. We were so relaxed after our appointment, and it was such a special time to share with my daughter. We can’t wait to go back!

I had a 90 minute massage with Lindsay which was relaxing and deep tissue at the same time. I’m here on vacation so unfortunately I’m not sure if I will be able to get another massage at this beautiful spa this year. It was casually elegant and they were both professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this spa to anyone! I look forward to going back next summer!

We happened upon this after calling other venues and everything being booked. We booked 2 60-​minute massages online and it was super easy to do and very convenient. Their location was very close to where we were staying for the week and were happy to give it a try. The ladies there are very nice and the ambiance is great! Very calming and relaxing beach themed venue. It was a bit tricky to find but call beforehand and they’ll give you great directions. The massage itself was good but I would have preferred a deeper touch. My masseuse was very nice and professional and checked on me throughout and asked it if wanted more/​less pressure. It got better but not completely to where I like. I personally like male masseuse and this is an all women’s group. Nothing major otherwise and I would recommend to anyone who likes a good ambiance, convenient location, and a female masseuse.

I bought my wife a gift certificate for a facial here and she said it was the best she has had in Wilmington. I had gotten her gift certificates to three other places in town and she said none of them came close to the kind of service that she got here.

I have had many massages to attempt to relieve chronic headaches due to neck and back pain, with no real success. After a visit with Theresa, I came in with a headache and left feeling amazing. I no longer have to keep searching for a nice relaxing place to get awesome tension relief. Great atmosphere, great price, and excellent service.

What an absolutely amazing place! I am 7months pregnant and my husband and I received a couples massage for Valentine’s Day! The girls there literally had both of us so relaxed to the point I caught myself falling asleep twice… I highly recommend them !

I LOVE this spa! It’s so comfortable and inviting, and the massage therapists are friendly and seriously great at what they do. In a town with a multitude of spas, my husband and I have tried quite a few places and this is the place we’re sticking with. For atmosphere, a really great massage experience, and great prices, they can’t be beat!

I have received many massages to help release tension headaches from pressure built up in my neck. Theresa gave me a full body massage but worked my neck consistently and thoroughly the whole time like I have never received before! She is a peaceful presence and allows you as the client to fully relax & enjoy. I recommend her 100%!!

Coastal massage and body work is beyond the best experience I’ve had anywhere else. Not only is the atmosphere welcoming, but the massage is out of this world. It’s rare that you find a massage therapist who reads your body the way Theresa does. She knows where to spend a little extra time and never cuts the massage a minute short. I won’t go anywhere else!
