We are repeat diners at miyaki. The food is always excellent. Love the happy hour on Tuesday/Wednesday! I usually always get the teriyaki chicken and they are always wonderful at fulfilling my requests of extra hot soup and more mushrooms in my vegetables. Love that the tourists haven’t found this place … yet. Sure wish they had outdoor seating on beautiful nights like tonight.

Best hibachi in Williamsburg! Don’t waste your time going anywhere else. The cooks are amazing!

We were hoping to have a fun family dinner here. My husband & five year old son visited on a Friday night. We sat at a table where there is a chef who prepares the food right in front of you. Unfortunately after waiting at the table for a half an hour we decided it was time to leave. The other family we shared a table with had been waiting 45 minutes and left when we did. I understand being busy or short staffed but unfortunately no one ever bothered to come over and apologize or even acknowledge us just sitting there with two other tables being attended too.

I had one of the best hibachi meals I have ever had. I had the combination plate of fillet, shrimp and scallops. It was prepared exactly like I wanted it. medium rare for the steak and the shrimp and şcallops were excellent. When we arrived at the restaurant we were the only people there but a couple of larger groups arrived shortly. The young chef was funny, pleasant and skilled at his trade. They included both noodles and fried rice which was great but an unexpected surprise.

The food is what is to be expected from a Hibachi restaurant! The service was far from exceptional. We waited for over an hour and a half to be served. I think they ran out of food. Ultimately they made up for it after we complained and gave us a bottle of wine. Next time we would definitely be calling ahead to prepare them for this.

I am quite picky about where I eat sushi these days since there is one on every corner. I ordered sashimi and a roll and both were amazing. I was impressed by the freshness and quality of the food here along with the friendliness of staff. I will absolutely return on my next visit to Williamsburg.

Should not even get one star. Made us to wait for more than one hour because the chef was late. In the meantime silent treatment. Finally we gave up and left the place. After all that they even charged for $ 13 in drinks… really disrespectful place

It was completely empty when I went in today for lunch, around 2. But I was greeted warmly and seated promptly. I ordered the Miyaki Sushi Roll and some other deep fried roll. They have a 3 for $ 35 special on their Chef Specialty rolls, which is a bit pricey, but not too bad. The waitress was very nice, but my water glass was empty half way through the meal and she never refilled it. The sushi was good, but wrapped and cut kind of poorly. Some slices were falling apart as I picked them up, and the breaking was too thick and kind of cut my mouth.

This has been one of our favorite places but I think there is new ownership. Waiter forgot to bring out water. My Yaki Soba was cold and had no flavor. Not with the money and will have to find a new favorite place.

Williamsburg’s Best Sushi Bar. First as a qualifier I am an avid Sushi fanatic for over 30 years haven eaten in some of the best Sushi Bars in the country especially in the Pacific northwest. Good Sushi rice and lightly used, important! I always have a rainbow roll as my test of fish as it contains many types of fish. Fish was fresh and presentation very good. Seaweed salad excellent and large serving size. Misco soup could use more«stuff» in it as its mostly broth, pet peeve of mine. Inside a bit dated but fine. Excellent service.

Stopped in here for takeout and the hostess was very welcoming and kind. The terriyaki shrimp and chicken were both amazing.

I feel bad for anybody who hasn’t had a good experience here. This is our favorite sushi place. We have never done the hibachi here, but we have been here for sushi dozens of times. This was our first date spot in Williamsburg and its been our go to dinner since then. We always do the pick three. The Jenny is our first pick and then we always ask our server to pick the remaining two for us. It’s nice having a surprise each time. There’s never been one that we regretted. We occasionally order other items just to try them; the bibimbap, noodles, etc. We have loved everything we’ve ever tried. But we will continue coming back here for sushi first and foremost. Some servers are faster or more prompt than others, but we love the sushi so much that it’s not an issue. I’ve been here on slow weekdays right when they open and I’ve been here on busy Saturday evenings and the food and service has always been quality. You should absolutely give this place a try. And order the Jenny, they are just the best!

Terrible service, waited 20 minutes for a drink that required sake, cranberry and sprite. Didn’t check on us once after receiving our food, and then I actually had to walk across the restaurant to the bar to ask for our check so we could leave. Won’t be going back.

I went here yesterday with my sister while we were at Williamsburg for our day trip, and we left disappointed. For the rolls being $ 13 each they just did not taste right /good. It’s a 2.5 star at best, and with the price I feel like 2 stars is warranted. We just felt like something was missing. Things tasted off /not that good. Anyway, with the money we spent here and how long it took to make the food, we wish we would have skipped this place and gone right back to Richmond.

From the bottom to the top. Front to back. This place was clean and upscale. Very good. Very fresh sushi. Our wait staff helps us pick out sushi since there names are a little different then the common sushi restaurants. Very good over all and I will return when in the area.

Nice place, right next to the Williamsburg Outlet. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck! The chicken was good, the fried stuff on the side was not so good. Service was kind and fast. Definitely would come here again.

Initially I thought the food was a little pricey for lunch, but I was pleasant surprised with the portion size of the bento box. Everything was flavorful and extremely delicious and the tempera was to die for! I can not wait to come back when I am in the area again.

Terrible for the price, not really good sushi. I would not recommend to anyone. I went here because this was the only sushi and japanese steak house in the williamsburg outlet center. It was terrible, but the korean cuisine section looked decent.

All around average. Received mixed service from the wait staff. It was a quiet Saturday night so they graciously seated our 11-person party quite quickly and allowed us to order separately, so some could have hibachi and some could get sushi. Sushi was pretty good, delicious. Hibachi was good as well, though pretty oily/salty. I will give kudos to the chef — he put on a great show and made food land in most of our mouths lol. When we ordered, I asked the waitress to skip and come back to me so I could decide my order. She forgot about me and walked off to put the order in. I got up and followed her, attempting to get her attention, but she snappily brushed me off saying she was busy and would talk to me later. We were the only table she was serving so I thought this was a bit rude. She realized later that I forgot to order and came back, but her snarky behavior irked me. She also forgot to bring out steamed rice for a person in our group, the chef had to remind her. Before he started cooking hibachi, the chef actually shushed us presumably for talking and laughing. However, there were other families there with children so it wasn’t like this was a quiet upscale restaurant — it seemed fine to talk. This extremely irritated me. Overall it seems that the waitstaff could have a better attitude. Not sure if this was just because we were a younger group(21 – 24 yr olds).

The best sushi I’ve ever had. Their spicy sauce is amazing in every way. The owner is very sweet as well. Anytime I’m in VA I will go to this place.
