This place is delicious and a much better alternative to Olive Garden. If you have a chance definitely eat here! Thank you Amy for such a great meal!

we love this for special occasions, entertaining out of town guests and wine dinner. It’s more than an Italian restaurant. The owner makes you feel that you are in his home.

Where do I begin(sounds like a song… oh yes, Love Story). Well that is what has now happened. A new love of a fine Italian restaurant here in the Williamsburg Va area is now a reality. What we have experienced here at Giuseppe’s is just truly amazing. From the start, we bombarded our waiter, Jeremy with a table for 14 and with 3 separate checks. Uh oh you might think, but Jeremy to charge like he captained the star ship enterprise, and proceeded to deliver to us a wonderful assortment of food, all served in a timely fashion. We stayed with the fried calamari, Mozzarella and tomatoes and the antipasto plate. Although not large in size, they were large in flavor and choice. The calamari was lightly breaded and fried, served with a delicious tomatoe sauce. The mozzarella was light and fresh with such a wonderful array of seasoning. The antipasto hit the mark as well. For dinner, I had the Veal parm over linguini which was lightly breaded and delicious. The lump crabmeat was to die for as well as the eggplant parm. Or friends for the pork marsala which looked phenomenal and was delicious. Jeremy or easier did a spectacular job in taking care of our needs and was perfect in his handling of our table. Thanks Jeremy for an outstanding dining experience and a fun evening!

Excellent steak gorgonzola! Fillet perfectly cooked, with roasted portobello mushroom and red pepper with reduced balsamic vinaigrette. My wife made me get the lentil soup, it was so good I had to steal it back from her. Garlic shrimp on crustini appetizer was full of flavor. The calamari appetizer was on par with any restaurant. My son’s home made meat balls over pasta looked really tasty which he confirmed. I ordered the tiramisu, which did not look as good as the ones posted by fellow Unilocalers, but tasted good. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I called ahead to make sure they would not mind seating a group of 7 on a Monday night 25 minutes before closing time. They told us to come in and they will have the table ready. Great food and 1st class service.

This place was fabulous! We were just driving through Williamsburg after dropping our son off to spend the weekend with a buddy, when we decided to Unilocal & stop for dinner before heading back to Richmond for a 3-day volleyball tournament. We were not dressed for such a nice place, but the staff and owner were warm and welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious. The price was really reasonable for such a fine Italian restaurant. We got there right when it opened and it quickly filled up. I think it’s a by-reservation only kind of place, but if you are at the door when it opens, it’s your best bet to get seated. Ask for Susan, she was so sweet and made amazing recommendations! I had the special pan seared red snapper on a bed of homemade garlic gnocchi w/sautéed roasted red peppers, zucchini & mushrooms. My husband had a beautiful steak gorgonzola on top of a roasted red pepper and portobello mushroom w/a balsamic glaze, topped with a delicate thin onion ring. We enjoyed this with a nice bottle of Chianti. Happy MLK weekend/long over due date night

Our family was visiting from out of town and enjoyed Giuseppe’s the day before NYE. We didn’t have a reservation but they were more than accommodating. The owner and staff were engaging and a pleasure to talk with. They made several recommendations regarding drinks and meals all of which were spot on. Our kids are picky eaters and they both really liked their meals. If we get back to Williamsburg, we’ll definitely make it back to Giuseppe’s.

Dirty dishes — as I was about to take my first sip, I noticed that my wine glass had a full-on red lipstick stain(that was not mine). I told the server, and she came back with a dripping wet glass. It seemed like she had given me the original glass and had hand washed the lipstick stain. Bland food — had the Pork Marsala. The meal was bland, besides the pork tasting burnt. The edge of the chicken was crunchy. The pasta was soggy. The only thing that was great about my dinner was the lentil soup. It was delicious. We will not return. The experience on my first visit ruined my perception of this restaurant’s cleanliness/sanitary practices; service; and food. Unfortunate because we have been looking for a quality and local Italian restaurant.

We had an excellent lunch and cannot wait to go back for more. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the grilled salmon. The chicken was very tender and topped with a delicious lemon butter sauce. The salmon was very fresh tasting, served hot off the grill and was served with grilled asparagus and fresh greens. Besides the great food, the hostess and tableservice were excellent. We will be back!

We absolutely loved every aspect of our visit here! From the jubilant host, to the family friendly genuine waitresses, the food, the visit from the owner and the great prices! Everything was fresh and delicious! We looooved the fact that this establishment is family owned and have their sweet pictures on the wall to greet you as you greet their lovely host! Best experience since we’ve been down here! We are super foodies and this has quenched our desire for fine dining, reasonable prices and excellent customer service. Thank you so much for such a great experience!

My family visited here the day after Thanksgiving. The place is very nice and the staff was very friendly. The owner even came by our table to see if everything was alright a couple of times. My kids and mother ordered pizzas. They were ok but weren’t fresh dough pizza, more like a pre made shell with toppings. Tasted ok but not what i was expecting. My wife had the Fettuccini Alfredo and she said it was just ok. I had the Eggplant Parmigiana and it was very good but didn’t come with a side of pasta like i am use too. The meals also came with Bread and side salads which were good. I would probably come back if in Williamsburg again but it wouldn’t be for the pizza!

We were immediately seated for a call ahead party of eight people and greeted by an extremely friendly host as well as an owner. Our waitress was extremely patient with our party as we had several children as well as other picky diners. She explain all of the options that were available in great detail. We ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were well prepared and tasty. Especially the lentil soup, saltimbocca, pizza, fettuccine were all notable. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Williamsburg. Highly recommend.

We usually only hit up an Italian restaurant for a special occasion because it’s such a treat to indulge in so many delicious carbs. My boyfriend recently moved to Williamsburg and I can tell this is going to be our go-to Italian joint for those days we just want something decadent. We came in on a Saturday night after seeing the huge wait for Food for Thought. We were immediately greeted by a charming older gentleman who said the wait would be a bit long but we snagged two chairs by the bar. The bartender was equally as polite and attentive as the gentleman and we really enjoyed being served by her. We overheard another couple being a bit difficult about a dish they ordered, and she was very professional and sweet to them so that made an impression on us. We started off with some salad and two hefty loaves of bread. The balsamic dressing was awesome and had this spicy kick, perfect for dipping some crusty bread in. We usually prefer red sauce pasta, or we at least get one red sauce and one white sauce for some variety. That night we both got white sauce dishes and they did not disappoint. My man got the chicken picatta with capers and it came in this citrusy sauce that wasn’t too heavy and was just right. I got the gnocchi with asparagus, mushrooms, arugula, and goat cheese. Mine was perfectly creamy, the sauce vaguely reminded me of mushroom soup. I adore veggies in my pasta and everything complemented each other. The gnocchi were perfectly billowy dumplings and I had to force myself to only eat half of the plate because everything was so good and I didn’t want to overdo it. Hopefully next time we visit, I can restrain myself to have enough room for dessert because the espresso crème brûlée and tiramisu look amazing.

What an excellent find. Service is extraordinary. The food and wine are divine. At the table we had saltimbocca, calamari(fantastic), spaghetti and meat sauce, spaghetti colognes and fettuccine Alfredo. All were delish. The wine was great too. I’d say it’s a solid 4.5. I’m going back again to see if they are an actual 5.

Excellent food and service! Wish we had come here the first night of our vacation! Our waitress Amy was spot on with her recommendations. If they have the crab gazpacho try it! Pork Marsala was excellent as well as the Espresso Crème Brûlée. Ask to sit in Amy’s section… she’s fantastic!

I am a snob when it comes to food, but even more so Italian food. I usually do not even eat Italian food in the south. But I saw«in business for 24 years» and saw the menu and gave it a chance. I am glad I did. I figured I would get the normal attitude walking in with my five year old but I was greeted kindly and warmly. Then the special of the night for the wine was one of my husbands and I favorites for a long time, a Sicilian wine. We ordered a bottle and was greeted by the owner. He was so friendly and we chatted about Ct and ourselves with him, he is from Ct as well. The food was great. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo and added broccoli. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the broccoli as well. My husband ordered The Josephine. It was amazing, perfect balance. To end the desert. We ordered the cannoli, house made. It was delicious. I took my fork and cracked the shell and it did what its suppose to do. Cracked beautifully, the filling was sweet, but not too sweet. Well done.

Review is based on our enjoyment of the takeout pizza. We had one meat-aterian pizza and one veg only(artichoke hearts, onions, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes) Both were lovely and yummy. Looking forward to eating in. Great Pizza Giuseppe!
