Really fun bar. Been to it an awful lot for Quizzo and needless to say, I’ve never left pissed-off or disappointed. The only few times that has happened was when it became all too clear that there was nowhere else to sit and it didn’t seem like anybody else was getting up anytime soon. Because of this, the bar suffers a lot from there just not being enough room for people. Which is a huge shame because the food isn’t just good(their wing specials on Thursday night is perfection), but their beer selection is pretty solid. Not only do they have a whole lot on tap, but they also have it at a relatively inexpensive price, which is to say that it’s very different from what you’d expect. There’s always people here, so it’s hard to find a spot at times, but if and when you do get a spot, it’s a very enjoyable place that’s worthy of your time.

1⁄2016 First let me start by saying that this place claims it’s a Brewpub, but it is not. They DONOT brew on the premises, hence, they are not a Brewpub! I desperately want this place to be better than it is. At one point it was, but that was a few years back. THEBEER — the variety here is very good. Being a home brewer for quite a long time, I guess I’ve become a beer snob. So this is a good place for craft beer enthusiasts. THEFOOD — ugh… At one time it was really good and consistent. Now it’s only mediocre at best. I’ve given this place chance after chance to redeem themselves with the food, but they’ve just become a big disappointment. Poor quality the last 4 – 5 time I’ve tried. Unfortunately I’ve also had experiences with many items on the menu not being available. Especially in the winter months. Also was served a gray frozen burger one time instead of a big juicy fresh burger they used to serve. SERVICE — Poor. Over and over again and again poor service. Wait staff would rather take selfies than ask if everything was ok at the table. Serving me a Belgian White after I order a IPA and trying to tell me it’s a IPA is a big mistake. I know my beer. Someone needs to train the wait staff better. Like I said earlier… I really want this place to be better. I want it to be one of my regular places again. Hopefully they read this review and get it together. I guess I’ll give them one last chance in a few weeks and I’ll update this review.

I go here at least once a month on the off season. Summer is crazy. Great fun, people and food. Best beer, brick oven pizza and bar food, along with nightly specials. Great menu that matches the atmosphere.

Tip if you haven’t really tryed craft beer or unfamiliar this is the best place in south jersey. The staff really knows their beer. To think my favorite beer was yuengling before Irenes. Dive bar that separates North Wildwood from Midtown. We stopped into Goodnight Irene’s around 1AM on an August Saturday night. It was pretty dead except for some degenerates hanging out, playing darts and naked-photo hunt. They had a rather lack-luster DJ sitting in the corner too. No dancing, no mingling… just a bunch of sad drunks. They had some decent microbrews on tap though I certainly wouldn’t return for that.

Friendly. The Mac and cheese is delicious. My husband loves the artichoke dip. The bbq sandwich was also great. A bit over priced– but being in a tourist town it’s expected. Wasn’t impressed with the boneless wings or fries. The atmosphere is nice. When ordering take out they are super fast!

Stopped in here on a whim first night in town. Had a great bartender ordered abrita, purple haze. So good I had another. Ordered a pizza because here, it’s wood fired, it was good. Thin crust. Boyfriend ordered a Cajun chicken club, that was delicious!!! Prices are fair. About 10:00 crowd 21 to 24, picked up for a beer pong torment. So even at the end of September, this place was going strong. Hung around for a bit and peaced. Outside bar/patio was open. If went back, I’d check that out. Service was good, I’d recommend!

Great beer list, disappointing service. Came here with my husband, brother, and his wife. We were happy to see that they were having a Cape May Brewing Co. tap takeover so we were finally able to try beers from that brewery. Three of us got flights which let us try 4 of their beers. Thumbs up for that. Unfortunately, things faltered a bit after that. First, our food took awhile to come out. Then, only my husband and brother’s food made it out. My SIL and I were left waiting for at least 15 minutes until our food came out. I ordered the taco appetizer and she had a salad — i.e., nothing that should have taken that long. We had to flag down the waitress to find out where our food was. When I finally got my food the tacos were good, though they had so much liquid in them from the slaw that if I hadn’t transferred them to another plate they would have completely fallen apart. I wish they would take as much care with the food as they do with the beer.

I’ve been to Goodnight Irene’s a couple of times in a pinch. The food is about what you would expect from a local bar. Not gourmet but better than, say, Applebees. They have amazing crispy sweet potato fries. I haven’t had the brick oven pizza, but it’s made out in the open so you can see it’s not just a frozen pizza popped in a microwave. There’s a decent beer list, so no doubt you can find something more exciting than Miller or Coors. If you’re into those kinds of beers, that’s cool I guess, but I appreciate a good selection because that means everyone is happy. Since it’s a bar, it can get noisy, but service is great since the staff is probably very used to high volume and loud/drunk people. I wouldn’t say this would be my #1 choice for a meal, but it’s a reliable backup.
