Hate giving one star reviews, but sometimes it has to be done. Florida citrus center is such a disappointment and a tourist trap. «Fresh oranges», «baby alligators» and«giant gator» are some of the dishonest things you’ll see on their billboards while hoping to score a flavor of Florida’s signature fruit. So, I’ll focus on one thing in this review and that’s oranges. Newsflash: THEYARENOTFRESH. Not only are they not fresh, but most of them are already rotting. You know how an orange is supposed to smell like, well, an orange? Here they smell and look like they’ve been roasting outside under the sun for weeks! Wait, that’s exactly what happens here. Peaches were also on the verge of complete spoilage. Avoid this tourist trap at all costs. Here is an alternative, go across the street to the non-advertised Reed’s citrus shop. That’s where the real stuff is. Ps. The giant gator is not real, get ready for disappointment and crying kids if you have them.
