Backyard Barn Winery & Microbrewery

When traveling back and forth on I-​75, this is one of my favorite places to stop in and visit. The owners and staff are as friendly as the décor and setting are unique and the beer and wine offerings are incredible. I live in St. Pete were we have a plethora of great microbreweries but none can compete with the atmosphere of this place. The fact that they serve their own wine sends this place over the top. There is something for everyone. Even the fact that they offer a few Florida «guest» taps is nice. So far there hasn’t been a beer choice I didn’t like but I am especially enamored of their wines. The Blueberry is to die for and the Watermelon a delight. I also bought a few bottles of an ingenious Florida Blueberry Pepper last time I was there that was so different I didn’t want to share it. Located right off the interstate, nestled on a quiet, lush farm, you can’t beat the ambiance. I would recommend this place to everyone in the nearby area or to those traveling down the highway, that just want a comfortable place to stop. And lest I forget, their prices are very reasonable, even great.

Unique old Florida style outdoor setting with huge outdoor stage, two huge outdoor fireplaces, several other concrete pads with huge Adirondack chairs and umbrellas, inside pub has old Florida feel as well. Fantastic craft beers, wines and pub type food. Humus and buffalo dip are a must. Out in the middle of nowhere in what used to be a pasture. Finicky cat adds to the appeal. Open only about six months, I would give them a 5 except for a few growing pains with electronic ordering system and bartender that may get testy when a bit overwhelmed. They seem very customer oriented and we will definitely return.
