If I were a dessert lover, I would probably see fit to give the Village Inn higher marks, but I’m not. My review is based upon their regular menu items. Keep that in mind when reading this review, because they do seem to have a bang’n selection of sweets on display right when you walk in. Beyond that, I found nothing about this place to make it stand out among any other average American dinner. Their menu offers the standard American cuisine and from what I could tell from what others were being served, it all seemed to be cooked in the same standard fashion. I will give the service props. They were super friendly and accommodating. If I were in the neighborhood and hungry for lunch, I’d stop in again.

I come here for the V.I.B. pick 4 items for one price. I usually get the Waffles, Chocolate chip pancakes, French toast, and Hash browns. The waffles are some of the best in town. I like them better here than at other restaurants. VEGETARIAN.

I eat out for Breakfast six or seven days a week. The village Inn is the one I go to the most because of the food and the fact it is the closest. I have tried over half of their menu and always been satisfied with it. My favorite is probably the skillets. Like a previous reviewer said this place has no problems if you want to substitute items on the menu. I have on occasion had a bad server but I am not going to bash a place just because a server was new or having a bad day, especially since I have eaten here dozens of times in the last three years.

I feel bad not having written a review sooner! Village Inn is a great place for traditional diner food — especially breakfast. The skillets are delicious and substitutions are never a problem if you want to «tweak» a little. They even do a great Eggs Benedict. Coffee is very good and so is the service… both of which are delivered with a smile. Overall good value!

Tea was old. Service was slow and inattentive. We waited for 25 minutes at the end of our meal to order pie and the next time we saw him, he dropped our checks. Being in the service industry, I have high expectations, but I’m also understanding that things get busy and hectic. That wasn’t the case. He was just kind of dilly dallying around. We asked for a coffee to go and were brought an empty cup, and editors fro ten more minutes for coffee to fill it. Thank goodness for Dawn, we had to ask her since our server was nowhere to be found. Food was the only other redeeming factor. Too bad I couldn’t have any French silk pie!

Decent food, but no better than IHOP or Dennys. Service is typically good, and they always seem to be busy. I reccommend the pumpkin pancakes if they are in season when you visit! Delicious. Aside from the pumpkin pancakes, everything is pretty typical. If you’re looking for an amazing breakfast, skip Village Inn and head for the original Riverside Café(not one of their branched locations).

Life sometimes gives you little treats. That’s why I like to come here. It is just a relaxing place to come to. The food is consistent and the staff is very helpful. One of those special little gems.

I’ve eaten here a few times and never had a bad experience until tonight. I’ve never dealt with such poor customer service at a restaurant. My friend and I stopped in for pie. The waiter asked what we wanted to drink we both wanted water. Then we told him we were only ordering pie tonight, no meal. He then tells us he cannot give us pie unless we buy a soft drink. I told him me and three friends were in a few days ago and had pie and only two soft drinks. He insists we can’t buy pie without a beverage. So we ask for the manager. The manager then comes over and says he can’t sell is pie without a beverage, the computer will not let him punch it in. I tell him that does not make sense, we were just here for pie the other day. So my friend and I left. As we are pulling out of the parking lot, there is a sign on the window«free pie Wednesday.» So of course now it made sense – I called the manager as soon as I got home. I explained to him that we were not there for«free» pie and didn’t even know they had a promotion for it. He then tells me that I told both the waiter and him that we wanted free pie and to not pay for beverages. I explained how we didn’t even know they had free pie today, that we wanted to pay for pie which is why none of this made sense! And I told him we didn’t see the sign until we were in the car leaving! I told him it’s sad to have to lose customers over this – and he said nothing. I will never go back, no matter how good the pie is. If you as a manager cannot own up to your mistakes, you shouldn’t be in that position. Such a disappointment.

Me and family found this restaurant by chance. So we figured we would try it. We thought the food was delicious they had reasonable prices. We went back two more times for breakfast and once for lunch. Very friendly staff and good service.

I will eat breakfast here anytime I’m in town. Yasmeen offered wonderful service and everything was exactly as ordered, served quickly, and tasted excellent! We ordered the build your own breakfast. There are so many choices and the country potatoes are awesome! My 10 year old usually has something to complain about, but was way too busy inhaling his egg and cheese omlet to find anything wrong. If we could give more than 5 stars, it would have earned it.

Pretty great place for a cheap fast breakfast. I highly recommend the pancakes and the Denver Omlette. Just don’t come here expecting a decent lunch or dinner, because both are pretty sub-par.

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast/lunch. I have been here so many times I can’t count and have never had a bad visit. I love the Ultimate Skillet which is 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage links, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, tomatoes, Monterrey Jack and cheddar cheese, with 2 eggs your style, country potato’s and 2 pancakes. I live for this breakfast/lunch, and would eat it everyday at least for a while. There fresh made pies are hard to beat, take one home with you or just have a slice. I highly recommend this place for a great meal anytime…
