The two gals that were working were very unfriendly. Very dissatisfied with the customer service. If I wanted unfriendliness I would’ve just gone to Starbucks. Also, the drinks I got tasted like they were made half ass. Iced blended drink just tasted like water. First and last time at this coffee bean.

Up until today I thought paranormal experiences were completely ludicrous. Up until today I thought coffee was brewed by regular people. Up until today I thought The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf was just a normal café. Boy was I wrong… Today I realized that The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is a magical place where an angel named Brianna made my coffee and changed my life forever. She is truly an amazing employee and deserves nothing but happiness and I love her. Love me, Brianna.

I’m sorry but they are too slow, especially in the morning. Easily six minute drinks they let your coffee sit on the counter and just get cold. Please place some milk in it and pass it off. Thanks!

If you need something on-the-go this place is ok. They make good drinks. Not a place to study. Always busy. Not enough seats. A bit loud in the evenings. The reason why I sadly give it my lowest review is because my gf and I once sat on a pair of couches that perhaps wasnt cleaned or inspected properly after usage that it ruined our night. I rather not go into details. We left before buying anything. Routine inspectations by the staff is STRONGLY recommended.

Coffee isn’t worth the attitude that comes with it. Cashier’s have bad customer service.

Don’t come here if you have to be somewhere on-time. This place is soooo slow. Weather a Monday or a Saturday. Yeah I understand the whole«they’re not a Starbucks» but for crying out loud. I ordered a hot coffee by the time I got it, just put it over ice. The dang«coffee maker» was to busy looking around at other things to make my coffee. Then she got the order wrong. I did say«no foam,» still got foam… It would’ve been faster to brew at home. But my coffee maker is broken. Off 2 buy a new one today!

Love this place. Have had service by Haley was very pleasant, and made small talk and seemed to enjoy what she was doing. Over all cool. but I do have to say that the Homeless around this establishment make me feel very uncomfortable. Whittier needs to clean it up in uptown. I love their blended drinks. — lots of room to study as well.

I don’t know what it is about this place but have neatly this is gonna be my last time here. I’m not sure if they don’t have enough help here or what but the wait is ridiculous and all I ordered was tea! Just tea!

I had to update my review and bring it down from 5 stars to 1, and here’s why. Chapter ONE: The Incident I ordered an ice blended drink with caramel sauce. The girl who made the drink added fudge by accident; the worker who took my order reminded this girl it was only caramel. So she added caramel drizzle to a cup full of fudge sauce. Maybe she decided today was the day to take artistic liberty and just mix sh*t. I told her I didn’t want the fudge, so she grabbed a new cup, puts caramel sauce in it and *re-pours* the same drink that is already contaminated by the ingredient I did not order. Simply put, that is not what I paid for and I didn’t want the extra sugar(counting calories these days). So, I asked for my drink to be remade. Once this girl finished making my drink, she throws it on the counter and doesn’t call my name. She didn’t even care to apologize for the mix up. But I guess artists don’t apologize for creating art. Instinctively, I called and spoke with the store manager and explained to her that this girl lacked tact and professionalism. The manager invited me back for a free drink. Chapter TWO: La Solución I arrive at the store and the store manager wasn’t there; however, she relayed the information to a teenager(aka the shift supervisor). He says: oh yeah, she told me. Javier, right?! I said: I know I look like a Javier, but no, it’s actually Giovanni.(It was like a game of telephone gone south and racist –no pun intended). He gave me the free drink and apologized. I also wanted some donuts, but I insisted I would pay.(I didn’t want to be THAT guy who also expected a free food item.) So he let me pay — how kind of him. But… *PLOTTWIST* Chapter THREE: #Abe’sLifeStillMatters After sitting down and doing some work for a couple of hours, as I frequently do at this location, I got hungry. I went up and looked at the butter croissants through the glass display and the butter croissants looked back at me and I swear they yelled my(new) name: JAAVIER! So I asked the same teenage supervisor to ring me up and warm it up. He says: «It’s $ 2.40»(or so I thought). I hand him a 5 dollar bill and 40 cents and said out loud: okay 5 and 40 cents. He starts counting and just stands there. After a long a*s beat, he says: «Two Forty-*NINE*!» I looked through my wallet and pulled all the change I had, but only one Jefferson and two Abe Lincolns were staring back at me. I said: Oops sorry, let me see. dang, I have $ 0.47… This time, without a beat, but with a piercing look on his face, he says: $TWO. FORTY. NINE! «Okay. Out of my $ 5 dollar bill then.» He handed me some change and I dropped the pennies in the tip jar, as I USUALLY do. And then it hit me: those pennies could’ve saved me in the future from a deadly stare. #RIPAbe I walked out of Coffee Bean full of regrets and without a single penny. Next Stop: Peet’s.

Consistently good and hot coffee. I like a bit less overbearing taste(to me) that you get at that other place from Seattle. Parking on the street is convenient. Sometime parking lot is pretty full as the shop is part of and«L» shaped strip mall. Always clean and well lit. Sometimes crowded with college students… okay by me… go Poets. Could have more snack choices though the ones they have are tasty. Other family members that I’ve gone with have positive comments as well.

Tried coming here to see if faster and better than Starbucks… Ordered ice coffee, took about 10 minutes to get my order. It was worth the wait, I’ll be back only earlier.

Pretty standard fare of a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. This location is right across the street from the movie theater in uptown Whittier. Great service and usually some interesting people watching can happen here especially on the weekends. Wifi is on par with other locations. Go to drink is the black tea or the Black Forrest ice blended. Wish there was more locations with power outlets the ones that are there are usually taken.

I guess I got accustomed to getting Decaf at Starbucks and Peets at whatever time I wanted. I guess coffee bean and tea only brews decaf in the morning. I was a little disappointed

One star for the service. My time here on Thursday was awful. For some reason, the blonde server named Haley was completely hostile toward me. I’ve never met her before, never even seen her, and yet her tone toward me was ice cold. She spoke incredibly bluntly, one word answers, completely rude — a stark change from the smiley persona and friendly attitude she had toward the man in front of me. When she gave me my coffee, she slammed it down in front of me without a word. I don’t know what the hell her problem was, but that’s absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever had! NEVER coming back to this dump!

The coffee here is just okay. I’m more fond of the coffee company from Seattle. I had the light roast and it was absolutely bland and tasteless. Prices are a little bit more expensive too. I will only go here when I have no other options.

Been coming here consistently for the past few months. Tues/Thurs and Sat/Sun. The staff is great, friendly and helpful, sometimes funny which is a plus. Except for this new girl Chazzlene I believe. Incredibly rude and condescending. She turned off the lights on several late night customers and made annoyed gestures, pretty much indicating«why you still here» Usually staff is great and gives us a friendly reminder on closing hours, I’m very considerate of that cause who wouldn’t want go home after their shift? Other than that teas are delicious. So are the treats. I enjoy their mini sprinkled donuts, vanilla bean scone, banana nut muffin and chocolate twist(warmed). Tai Tea is good despite it being powder. Tropical iced tea, Pomegranate black tea and Passion fruit granitas are my go to’s Earl grey is pretty good with honey.

Coffee and Teas are good. TIP: Don’t ask for a restroom key before you order. Better yet, wash your hands before you get here! A patron asked for the restroom key and the clerk(pictured behind the counter), in her best outside voice, proceeded to tell him«you need to purchase something before your can use the restroom. We will write the code on the bottom of your receipt» Great, now the entire establishment is aware of this guys necessity! The Uptown Whittier location probably brings in a lot of people who just want CBTL for their restrooms but, sheesh, there’s gotta be a better way to handle this!

Came here with my boys at the end of a very nice venture in Uptown Whittier. My son works at CBTL(not this location), so as always, I went in with a very critical eye. They delivered — the location is large with ample seating and very clean. The service was good. It wasn’t great, but it was good. The drinks were made well — including my Tropical Passion iced tea. Most locations don’t steep the tea long enough so the flavor doesn’t really come through but they did good here — bravo. It’s a convenient location — we’d return.
