The Phở is great! Everything I’ve tried I have no complaint about. Clean area! However, the service can be really bad on some nights. I understand it gets busy, but the staff can be unfriendly or some servers won’t talk much. They don’t update you on how long the wait is going to be if you’ve been waiting there for some time. They don’t check up on you to make sure your cups are filled; you need to get the staff’s attention in order to get what you want which isn’t why I come to nice places like these.

I am a frequent customer to this joint. Today I went by and as usual, the food was delicious with great service. :) However, something else was off today. The restaurant stunk. I’m not sure what it was but it smelled like they cleaned with a dirty rag. Horrid, smelled like rot. Completely took off the enticement of the food. :(

Sooo good!!! I’ve had it two days in a row now. Everytime I’m sick, hungover, or it’s cold, come here and get the #1 it’s absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.

Decided to give this place shot since we heard mixed reviews. It was okay the veggies were not as fresh as we would have liked, the rare steak I had was not as tasty like I have had at other phở spots. But he atmosphere was good service was great so we will definitely try this place again. I will say it is way better then Phở-Ology that just opened here in Whittier.

Love this place. The Phở is Good probably one of the best in whittier but sometimes the service ain’t to great; their not rude but they sometimes forget to check back in with the tables their serving and may sometimes be bothered when you ask them for a refill on water or for extra limes.

Best phở in town! Every time I go, their service is as great as their food :) Also love the fact that they expanded over to what used to be a vape shop and added more booths for customers. Very clean as well. Definitely a place you’ll want to try!

Don’t know what I was thinking but my husband and I came here tonight. I guess since it was cold and raining I was craving phở. We were too lazy to go to OC and this place has four stars. We were duped! Service was horrible! I had to make eye contact with one of the workers behind the counter so someone can take our order. The server didn’t even say anything, probably a mute. My husband wanted to try their spring rolls… big mistake. It had only shredded lettuce and no fresh herbs. It had a couple slices of pork and shrimp. He said it also tasted fishy. EW! Our phở was average with loads of MSG. I was thirsty and had a headache afterwards. The place is popular with the locals because it’s in Whittier! Need I say more?! Not to sound like a snob but most don’t know what«good» phở is. Just saying. Never coming back.

So glad to have a go to phở place reasonably close to work. The proximity to work easily merits the fifth star. Been here a few times over the years. Their size about doubled as they have expanded to take over next door establishment at some point. Good move as it became very tough to find a seat during lunch. To cut through the chase, the phở here CONSISTENTLY reinforces our belief of how Asian and western style can marry to produce beautiful offspring. Other Vietnamese places do this but not as CONSISTENTLY as I have experienced here. The phở is crisp clean without excessive grease or salt but rather it builds its flavor from much deeper roots with the better ingredients that we are so fortunate to have in California. The diced beef(the actual name here escapes me but it is usually called diced filet mignon or cubed butter beef or something like that) is very good here too. Allow me to go on a little diatribe here about phở eating: DON’T put the sriracha sauce in the phở itself. Don’t do this. When you get your phở, immediately add the herb, peppers and veggies before the phở cools down as you will extract maximum flavor from these by introducing them to higher heat. Then taste the broth. Only then add the brown sauce, onion, extra cilantro, etc if necessary. Never add the red sauce to the phở directly as the red sauce will overpower all other flavors and severely compromise the integrity of the broth. Instead put the red sauce(sriracha) and the brown(plum) sauce in a small bowl. You should have already put the peppers in the broth as they will(unlike the sriracha sauce) meld well with the broth. If you are right handed, put the peppers on the left side of the bowl. Hold the chopsticks in your right hand and the soup spoon in you left hand. This way, as you slurp the broth with the spoon in your left hand, you get the full intensity of the peppers. For better distribution though, occasionally use the spoon to spoon/move the broth in the left side of your bowl to the right side so that the flavor from pepper and herb is more evenly distributed. Now you are ready to eat! Slurp the rice noodles and take deep spoonfuls of the broth. In between take a piece of tripe and brisket, etc and dip them into the sauce bowl of sriracha and plum sauce before eating them. Many dishes call for a conductor to ensemble all the elements to perfect the dish. Few call for this more than the seemingly lowly phở.

This location has always been here and I’ve yet to have ever tried it until now. The food is delicious and the bowls of phở are ginormous. The egg rolls are delicious as well and very crispy and crunchy. They also have wonton soup which is what I got. It was delicious and I would totally come back and get some more also with a side of Thai tea with boba to go along with it.

Best place to get phở in Whittier! Generous portions and it comes quick! I normally get phở with boba but I’ve pretty much tried everything on the menu. The vermicelli noodle dishes are very flavorful and a great appetizer for any dish. Gets pretty crowded during the evenings but I’m glad they opened the second section

Best phở in the area. They have everything from House Special Phở, Chicken Phở, and Seafood Phở. The portions are what you would expect from El Monte and Rosemead. The service is quick and food comes quickly as well. One warning: do not get their milk tea boba drinks. They’re super sugary. This place is most popular in the area so expect a wait during peak hours. Private parking lot makes finding parking pretty easy.

My favorite phở place in Whittier. Fast and fresh. Phở is always good, love the broth. Hands down my favorite egg rolls. Everything I’ve tried has been tasty. Staff is friendly. Plently of parking. Can’t go wrong. Always leave happy.

They have great tasting vegetarian phở(with beef brother), but they put waaaay too many noodles. The broth tasted delicious and full of flavor, but there was so little of it. 2⁄3 of the huge bowl was noodles in a big ball. I drank all the broth and ate all the tofu and veggies out of it amd left a lot of noodles behind.

Food has been consistently delicious. Glad they expanded because it was super cramped before. My favorite food to order is #46, which is beef BBQ with rice and side of vegetables. I also always get the avocado shake, yummy. The place is super clean and the restrooms are kept clean. Great place for family and friends to eat together. However, there’s a MINOR language barrier. Just make sure you order very clearly, but don’t be a jerk and speak slow. Just speak clearly :) but that’s what you should expect when eating at a legit viet place. Other than that! Enjoy!

if I could give this place 3.5 stars, I would. but since this rating it based off of my first experience, and I do plan on returning, I went with 4. I had the rice plate with BBQ beef short ribs, egg opla, fresh veggies, and fish sauce on the side. my boyfriend had the fried rice w/chicken & Chinese sausage. we had the egg rolls as an appetizer. the fried rice and egg rolls were amazing. I would definitely order them again. flavorful and reminded me of my mom’s home cooked meals for sure. I do have some complaints about my dish, though. initially the food looked and smelled amazing. however, my meat was too chewy, rubbery even. there wasn’t much edible meat on it. the pieces were rife with large pieces of bone, cartilage, and fat. I was disappointed with my dish, but since it’s the only Vietnamese place for a few miles, we will definitely be back to try their phở and other dishes. service was OK.

It was a cold night and my wife wanted something warm so we decided to visit this place for some phở. We have been here before so when we walked in we noticed they made the place a little bigger. We got seated right away and just like last time they were busy. My wife and I sat down and placed our order. My wife had veggie phở with chicken, she said because this way she gets more veggies in her phở and I had the beef phở. Oh we also had the shrimp spring rolls. Those are always good with the peanut butter sauce to dip them in. Service was quick and food was good. My woke enjoys phở a little more then I do so she really enjoyed it. I thought it was good. Can you really go wrong with soup on a cold day. Service was ok, at a point you feel like they served you and forget about you and to pay your bill takes a while some times.

Not the most unique restaurant name but the phở broth taste legit, so it is all good. =) I wasn’t so sure at first because Whittier isn’t known for Vietnamese food. We walked in on a Friday night and it was definitely bustling. I liked the interior, bright, spacious and clean. Menu consists of more then phở actually. There were rice dishes, vermicelli, appetizers, noodles and dessert. Prices were very reasonable with most dishes under $ 10. I ordered the #2. Rare steak, well done(huh??) brisket and tendon in a small($ 7.50). Loved that it came out hot! I love my soup noodles steaming! Broth tasted fatty and rich like it had been simmering all day. What I wasn’t really a fan of was the meat… I didn’t think there was enough. I got a little of everything, but I felt like I ate a lot more noodle. Also ordered a coconut smoothie($ 3.50) and it was good. Not to sweet and very refreshing. Staff was efficient and service was good. Not sure if I’d be back for the phở, but I’d be curious to try the other dishes.

First time here. Ordered takeout. Good experience. Ordered shrimp phở. The phở takeout is really done well. All of the fixings are bagged for you. I would have given this place 5 stars if they de-turded the shrimp. I love shrimp but hate to see the line of crap sticking out of their backs. Especially when it is in my phở broth. Many phở places do this. I wish this place would as well.
