Attention from waiter was awesome! My girlfriend had the Mac Attack and loved it I had the Rooney burger, could’ve used a little more special sauce but still an awesome burger.

More than just pub fare and one of the best spots in town. There’s a great family vibe and you can’t go wrong with the food all day from the huevos rancheros for brunch with a dark velvet(prosecco and Guinness) till dinner for a great burger, the ahi tuna sandwich or the chicken pot pie. Not to mention the warm pretzel bread sticks that come out as a starter that my girlfriend and I can’t get enough of. The staff has been here for years and you’ll feel like at you’re home from the very first visit.

Best burger in Westchester hands down, in my opinion that’s the reason to come here. They even won this title several years back. I like to get a bacon cheeseburger or the one with mac n cheese on it and they accommodate my weird request to wrap it in lettuce as opposed to a bun(this way I have more room for other food). They serve tater tots on the menu which can be hard to track down. Emmas serves homemade pretzels while you wait for your food to come out and with takeout orders. Other things I’ve had include the spinach artichoke dip which was good but not memorable as well as a hanger steak with a chimichurri sauce and mashed potatoes — that was also spectacular. But since I tend to just get a burger I can’t speak to many other items on the menu.

Always very tasty, dependable, and reasonable. A grade over tavern food, but it’s in that tradition. In the many dinners, nothing has ever missed. A staple in the rotation and fantastic for families with children.

I was very hopeful after reading so many positive reviews but disappointed in the quality and the service. Warm fresh pretzels serves once we sat was the best part of the meal. I ordered the beet salad which was much more salad than beet and the sesame crusted tuna sandwich. My mistake for saying medium on the tuna, I received a tasteless well done piece of tuna. Also, our entrees were brought out while we were still eating our apps and they quickly returned them to the kitchen but were way to eager to remove our first course. All and all pretty disappointing for $ 100 tab for two people.

Solid neighborhood spot. Food Is decent. Baked chicken dish is very good. drink/wine/beer selection are just ok. A bit of an older crowd. We will continue to go there when we just want something close by and decent.

I used to love coming here, enough so that I would put up with the extremely rude behavior of the manager who happens to be the host. But enough is enough. He was so rude and hurtful to a group of us who tried to come this Sunday with our SLEEPING babies that we left, one of the ladies in my group was in tears! He tried numerous times to get us to leave instead of seating us– he clearly didn’t want us there. He was so nasty and condescending when he spoke to us it was absolutely shocking. He has done this to me before, but usually just makes a few comments and rolls his eyes. This time he went too far. His behavior is appalling and I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere! The food just isn’t good enough to put up with this kind of treatment.

Emma, any woman that offers deliciously salty, fresh-baked pretzels to me right away… you’ve already won me over, in spite of me.* This place does pub food right. In addition to the aforementioned pretzels(seriously, a highlight): 1. They cook burgers properly, and serve them with good fries and tiny, adorable squeeze bottles of ketchup. 2. They offer all sorts of salads that aren’t really healthy. I thoroughly enjoyed the bleu cheese/bacon wedge, with a few grilled shrimp added on for good measure. 3. They have specials like the salmon tacos that my mom adored(I only kind of liked them). Basically, I’d come back. _____________ *Did I just quote an Alanis Morissette song? Maybe.

Once again, the team at Emma’s has outdone themselves! I enjoyed the insanely delicious dry-aged burger special this past weekend. It still boggles my mind that this burger has, dry-aged rib eye, skirt steak, brisket & short rib. It is super flavorful and then further enhanced by the shitake mushrooms and cheddar cheese. Of course it is also served on their signature pretzel bun and hand cut fries :) Highly recommend, granted it is not your standard burger and you pay a premium — and it is WELL worth it.

(Read update below) Nice atmosphere, but beware of overpricing. There are no prices on the specials menu. I ordered the house burger from the specials. I didn’t feel that the meat was anything special and the mushrooms on it weren’t even that great. It felt like the burger had no flavor, but whatever, it was a burger. The shock came during my bill. The burger was $ 30, double the price of the burgers on the normal menu. Diner beware. Edit: someone identified only as Catherine messaged me on here, claiming she types the menu and that the price was on the menu, the burger was $ 27, that it was«dry aged» meat, and that when you go to a restaurant the server doesn’t verbally recite specials prices. Catherine did not identify her title or relationship to the business. The $ 27 price may be accurate. However, three out of four of us ordered the burger and all three were shocked at the price when the bill came. Perhaps the price was hidden on the specials menu, but we didn’t see it. It may be our mistake for not asking the price before ordering — but my warning to Unilocalers is that it was not a value for $ 27 and to be careful you don’t order without knowing a price. The burger special is not worth it. I am removing one star after receiving a message That was condescending rather than constructive. That was unprofessional in tone and makes me not want to go back.

Went to Emma’s Ale house with a friend ok a Saturday night. I was pleasantly surprised ! i have the steak and and baked potato, the food was good. My friend salmon and rice I believe, she said it was great. Our bill came out to $ 100.00 dollars, which is the going rate these days. The waiter was also very attentive and pleasant l. I would definitely go back to this place. I had a great experience. Jussjess

Emma’s is a cute pub in White Plains and a solid stop for a good, quick bite. My friends and I had dinner here on a Saturday night and it was packed. I enjoyed the hot pretzels with mustard instead of the usual bread basket fare. I tried the mac n’ cheese with peas and bacon, which was a perfect winter evening indulgence. Even though it’s an appetizer, it was more than enough for a main course because of its richness. Service was friendly, although a bit slow on a busy weekend night.

Clean Pub Restaurant where you can have a decent meal and move along. My son and I stopped in for lunch. The«Chicken Chipotle Nachos» was a tasteful starter. An equal balance of chicken, cheese, beans, guacamole — the plate was cleaned. Main orders — Chicken Flat Bread Pizza with gorgonzola bleu cheese over a barbecue sauce. Also tasteful /also enjoyed. The selection did not disappoint. Also ordered — Bacon Cheeseburger special, While good — the selection was ridiculously priced at $ 19. Fries — not greasy but dry. Service was a bit indifferent. When diet coke was finished glass was simply taken — no refill question. Service with a frown here where smiles are needed. Of Note: upon seating the two free fresh house pretzels with mustard remains a great idea.

I really want to love Emma’s, as I live only a couple of miles away. Unfortunately, I’ve yet to have a good experience here. The food is decent, but not really worth the prices. You can get better on Mamaroneck Ave. My real issue is the service. Whether I’ve gone alone and sat at the bar or gotten a table with a couple of friends, the service has been as slow as molasses. It takes a long time to be checked on even when it’s slow and on my most recent trip, the server was clearly annoyed we asked for drink refills(when our glasses had been empty for almost 10 minutes). I’m not sure how many more tries I will give this place, but I haven’t lost hope just yet.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday on a Sunday night after hearing good things about it. First I would like to say that the pretzels and mustard which was complimentary was so tasty and a nice alternative to bread. We had the mac n cheese as an app and it was delicious. I chose the Murray’s Brick Chicken which was served with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. This entrée was phenomenal. It does take about 25 mins for them to bring it to you but it is well worth the wait. My boyfriend ordered the Sunday night chicken parm special which came with penne. He said the dish was good but just a bit to oily. We didn’t have room for dessert unfortunately. Our waiter was not as friendly as I would have hoped during the beginning of our seating. He eventually warmed up to us and even cracked a smile. I definitely recommend this spot.

Interesting pub restaurant with lots of choices, all of which will warm your belly and put a smile on your face. Burgers of all kinds(beef, turkey, salmon, chicken/ham/cheese). I went for a special one with mozzarella and the most delicious bacon. Fries are excellent though ours were a little on the tepid side, before we asked for some fresh hot ones. Entrées include fish and steak as well as shepherds pie and pot pie. Beers from all over the world in bottles and on tap.

Had a little bit of a wait on a Tuesday night even around 8, but got seated and everything transitioned smoothly. Right out of the box we get out of the oven hot pretzels with spicy mustard, killer chewy crust I had to stop from eating all of them. Split the calamari, with a thai chili sauce, killerdiller, ordered the sesame tuna, wife got the salmon this is where things went a little off. Tuna had avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion along with a wasabi dressing and it was weak, I actually had to salt my sandwich. The wife salmon was ok and actually got better towards the end. Sides were competent, sweet potato kettle chips were fantastic. Service was prompt, waitress was more than pleasant, everybody knew their position, would hit this up again.

Awful service. Awful food. except for the French onion soup. Honestly this place doesn’t even deserve a Unilocal review but I know I rely on what I read on Unilocal. It took over 30 minutes to receive our order which was French onion soup($ 9) and a flatbread special($ 13) The flatbread special was terrible. Bland and microwaved chicken. Just disgusting. A glass of wine was $ 11… House wine. Not worth it. We visited this area for a quick getaway and relied on Unilocal reviews to pick our dinner spot. Yuck. Don’t make the same mistake we did. My fiancé couldn’t even get the Mets game on the TV… They insisted on keeping women’s soccer on!

I came here for Sunday brunch with my family for Mother’s Day after searching for top brunch places in Westchester(top 4 listed in Westchester Magazine!) Pleasantly surprised to start — they started us off with warm cinnamon rolls AND warm pretzels– 4 of each, one for each of us. Both were delicious. For our meals, my dad got the Vanilla Bean French toast topped with Fried Bananas– really good. Sweet, but not too overwhelming and had a pretty unique great flavor. The rest of us had the Huevos Rancheros– fresh, crunchy, flavorful, no complaints. I got a Bloody Mary as well and it was probably one of the best I’ve had in a long time. My only caveat is no drink specials. Bloody Mary’s/Mimosas are brunch staples and to not include them(or have discounted prices) seems off. Otherwise– great casual place with good service. Would recommend.
