So I roll through the drive through this Sunday, 9⁄7 btw 3−4pm with my son to grab a small coffee. Girl rang up a large *sigh*, but didn’t want to go through the extra trouble of correcting the order or change fixing for her or me so I let it ride. Had somewhere to be. In the mix of getting handed the cup through the second drive thru window the large coffee tips and falls into my lap, in the process the top comes off, and holy god THEPAIN. I almost screamed as loud as when I was in labor almost 4 years ago, for realz. Anyway, I manage to pull forward somehow to get out of everyone’s way and an employee by the name of Laura, the one who handed me the coffee, was very symphatetic about the incident and probably as freaked out as I was. She and some others brought out a roll of paper towels, ice, and a cold cloth for me and my car I was in pain and wanted to just get home and change. I did ask for her name and she wrote it down on a napkin for me and mentioned something about dealing with loose coffee tops. I gave her my name and wasn’t sure about needing medical attention at that point. I did go home and change and headed to a local urgent care center to see what the damage to be seen would be. I didnt have a $ 100 bucks to spare just for the visit(anything else was extra) and didn’t want to sustain the cost and trouble of going to the emergency room. One of the front desk people there was kind enough to give me an open package of silver sulfadiazine cream which I applied in the parking lot. It’s not yet 7pm and the pain feels a lot better now although the blistering is starting to rear it’s ugly head(see pic). So watch when you’re grabbing your very large blazing hot coffee if you’re going through this drive thru.

Our local McD’s! They have a great friendly staff and do a great job most of the time. They definitely struggle sometimes when they get slammed with patrons. Watch out for busy winter Alpine Valley ski resort crowds.
