Main Street Deli and Pizza

Owner/​manager not sure what he is is a low life piece of shit. Went in during lunch which was busy, ordered food, took so long for one calzone while people who ordered after us all walked out with there food. Calzone was done for quite sometime & they all walked by it about ten times. All they had to do was box it. Finally got it & said he forgot the dressing we said never mind because we needed to get back to work. My boyfriend used his foot you push the door open, not hard like he was angry but hard enough that it stayed open as I walked out which people do all the time & the manager or whoever he is decided that he was going to scream across the store not to kick his fucking door & then proceeded to ask my boyfriend if he wanted to step outside. When we left he proceeded to follow us outside. It’s pretty funny because this is a forty year old tough guy following two twenty somethings outside to fight. I hope he at least feels a little better about himself.

Who argues with a customer when the wrong sub is delivered? The piece of garbage owner of this overrated cesspool. Do yourself a favor and forget this place exists.

The food is pretty good, the service is quick and usually pretty friendly. Overall one of the top pizza places in Weymouth. Their buffalo chicken calzone is to die for. Their prices are also pretty cheap for the considerably large portions.

Tonight’s order was totally disappointing. Usually is a good experience, but whoever was taking calls was NOT paying attention.

Good restaurant! I order from Main Street regularly for lunch at work and the food is always good! Their prices are in the low side!

So I order a chicken club today and got home only to find there was no bacon. I called back not to complain but see if they would just make a new one. The owner got on the phone and with an attitude that I was bothering him, told me to come back and he would give me a slice of bacon. I questioned this as I thought he was joking but he was not. I told him by the time I got it and got back home, my sub would be cold and asked for a new one. Most respectable places would automatically offer a new meal and probably offer to deliver it to make up for the error. This clown said it was either a slice of bacon or come down and get my «f’n money back». I went down to get my money and ended up in a confrontation with this rude owner in front of his staff and customers and told him as much as I liked their food, he just lost my business that I take there a few times a week. He told me to «f off» and I went to Double G and had a delicious chicken Caesar wrap. Main St is a joke and their owner is pathetic. Too bad

Well main st pizza is scratched off the list of decent places for pizza. Son took a bite of pizza gagged on a long hair. I called to let them know and it was an inconvenience for the mgr. to listen to me. He answers the phone what do you need, no apologies just a come get a refund or another pizza. I bring the pizza in to get another still no apology he puts the new pizza on the counter just says large extra cheese and grabs the nasty pizza and walks a way. Staff should be wearing hair nets or hats. Very unprofessional mgr.

Awesome. Delicious. Cheap. Fast. Friendly. I usually get the chicken parm or the roast beef deluxe. Both good. I mostly like this place because I get a 50% discount as long as I pay cash. Today I’m getting a slice of pizza, always good, and a turkey Reuben. The turkey Reuben is their best sub in my opinion.

I’ve always had good experiences with Main Street until today. Upon finding a large horse fly in my sub I called to inform them. We had ordered several sandwiches and salads yet they only comped the one sub which had a fly in it. I’ll never order from there again.

Today was my son’s 5^th birthday. We have 28 kids and 21 adults. We needed dinner to be delivered at 5pm. So I called at 4:30pm ordered 6 Sicilian pizzas and a catering sized tossed salad. First the food was delivered at 5pm!!! Yeah for service on time! Second, everyone loved the pizza and this was the best looking tossed salad I’d ever seen including hard boiled eggs, olives, tomatoes, etc. We will be ordering from Main Street Pizza for Friday night movie nights at home and for our parties now on. Their service and food is the best in town. Thank you!

I have never had a problem ordering food from Main Street before until today. The high school girl on the phone was so rude. It felt like I was calling and interrupting something she was doing. She was unable to spell the name of my street and I had to re-​spell it several times because she could not spell the name of my street. Which she gave me an attitude about! Then she asks me what part of weymouth I live in which I found to be an odd question. I said I wasn’t sure and was new to the town and could she look it up? I could hear her sigh and just say I guess you’ll get your food in 30 – 45 minutes, and I said thank you so much. I hate when bad customer service ruins a good place to get food from. I hope the owners speak to the employee, that’s not good customer service. 2 stars for their customer service but 4 stars for the food.

One of the best sub shops in Weymouth. The number 21 (grilled chicken, feta, lettuce, and tomato sub) is the best! The salads are also excellent. Speedy delivery and reasonable prices.

I have been going to Main Street Deli for about 8 years. From their old location to their new one, they have just gotten bigger and BETTER! I am a sub guy, and as far as subs go, they have some of the best on the South Shore! My favorite is their Bacon Cheeseburger Sub… Mmmmm Sooo Goood! Always made to perfection and done in minutes! Some of the best French fries and the BEST thick cut onion rings on the South Shore. Their pizza is delicious too! The staff is always some of the nicest and courteous staff I encounter, always saying «Hello, Thank You, You’re Welcome or You Have a nice day». I would recommend to anyone in the area or visiting for that matter to check out Main Street Deli!

I used to love Main Street because it was sooo cheap compared to other places in the area, even though quality wasn’t as good and the staff wasn’t as friendly as other places.
Now the prices have gone up but the quality is the same. I’ve found myself avoiding Main Street and driving a bit further to get to other places.

I orderd chicken garden salad and gingerale I got burnt chicken and a mountain dew. hmmm. not super great

I understand your a busy restaurant, and Its a fast paced environment. Customers are unpredictable, ESPECIALLY in food service. They come at you from all angles walk-​ins, deliveries, pick-​up orders, add ons, cancellations, catering, hard customers, easy customers, it’s 5 o’clock and for some reason all of weymouth got hungry at the same time EVERY NIGHT, and so on and so fourth. This is the reality of the business and its not going to change. Suck it up and be polite. Would it honestly kill you to say hello or even goodbye? This is my only complaint with Main Street. But it really grinds my gears the 84^th time around. Say f*cking hello and goodbye. It’ll save you customers. Trust me

I ordered pasta with meatballs, the meatballs were undercooked. I asked for cheese melted on top like most restaurants routinely do and got small cubes of unmelted cheese sparingly sprinkled on top. I decided to just take the lose and go down the street and order somewhere else. Only gave it 2 stars because with other stuff they are okay. Wasted $ 10.

Great buffalo calzone, good subs, & exceptional onion rings. Take out is always hot & never incorrect. Every so often we get lucky with free take out idem that some costumer didn’t pick up on the house. Very reasonable prices that are difficult to beat.

Every single time I call to place an order, WITHOUT FAIL, the girl who answers is incredibly rude. If you don’t like your job, quit. That’s all I’m saying.
ANYWAY. Their food is somewhat worth it. Good calzones. The #9 (turkey, swiss, bacon, Russian dressing) is awesome. The employees haven’t ruined my experience yet… if the owner is smart, he might want to get some new management in the place, because a workplace culture where your employees are permitted to be rude to your customers does not make for a lasting business.

I used to love Main Street Deli and Pizza so much, it was always my go-​to place.
I just recieved an order from them of small mozzarella sticks that were mashed together into one very unappealing lump becuase whoever packed it smashed the sauce into the container. Half of the cheese is/​was stuck to the bottom of the carton.
I also got a turkey wrap. When I opened the wrapping a whole bunch of the insides fell out because the wrap itself wasn’t wraped tightly enough. It was swimming in mayonaise and it was cut almost in half (…halfway through…) towards the bottom.
It was an absolute mess and I regret leaving a $ 5 tip on a $ 12 delivery… the delivery guy was nice but honestly that is all this place has going for it.
I highly recommend going to a different shop or at least going to pick up your food and looking at it before you take it home before wasting your money.
