I hate leaving three stars. I’ve grown up eating this pizza. I’ve had it for years and years. The two stars taken off are for the really tall bearded guy who cooks the pizza. His BO is so bad we couldn’t enjoy our food the last few times we were in there. He’s super nice but who cares. I am so grossed out that he’s making the food…

Ordered pizza a couple of times and both times found the pizza to undercooked. The dough is sweet and flavorless. Didn’t try anything else. Delivery service was good. Fix the pizza and we will come back

This is by far the best pizza I’ve ever had! The owners are authentic Italians and it shows in there unbeatable pizza! There is a good reason they have been a part of Westport for over 40 years, and hopefully they will always be here!!!

They don’t have a proper menu. You have to ask them what they have. Overpriced beer. Long wait times 15−20m became 30m even when there were only 3 – 4 customers at the time. Tasteless food almost like cardboard. I’m surprised how they are still in business.

I went back to the Westport Pizzeria for the first time in almost 35 years. The last time I walked in the door I was 12 years old. This this time I brought my wife and kids(age 10 to 15). The pizza was as good as I remembered and they treated my kids just like they did when I was a kid. It was my best memory of my return home back to Westport. Don’t miss it.

The best. I’ve been coming here since 1979 and the new location at 143 Post Road is great. Pizza is thin and crisp. Love the owner. Love this slice of Westport history.

Stopped in after work one day. The place is real narrow and long. The SERVICE is pretty good as long as they’re not chasing little girls that are licking the tops of the shakers! I’m from NYC so I hold my pizza standards high! The pizza here is not so bad, pretty okay for CT. I had 2 slices, each from 2 separate pies(to test flavor consistency.) The crust is thin and crispy, couldn’t find much flavor in the sauce. Of course I added Parma, garlic, oregano and red pepper flakes(from un-licked shakers!!) to jazz up the flavor. $ 2.50 a slice. If you’re hungry it will do the job. The rest of the menu was pricey, and judging by the pizza, might not be worth it. Read an earlier comment about someone seeing frozen pie crust, which would also lead one to believe that canned tomato sauce is also a factor… didn’t see it myself but also didn’t see any hand dough preparation or tossing… will be more vigilant if I make another appearance.

This is by far the best pizza! This business has been around for years and it’s a staple in the area and for great reasons! Would recommend it to anyone!!!

I first came here when we moved to Westport in the early 80s. The pizza is lovely and the atmosphere is very sweet and mom and popish. Back in the day, we would also go to Oscars, Kleins and The Remarkable Book Store. One day I remember using the payphone which used to be situated opposite The Westport Pizzeria. I called home to say I’d be late(hello mother, hello father) and when I hung up the phone quarters came gushing out in fistfuls !!! I ‘ll never forget that day and the joy it felt to be seven years old. Dire Straits, aha and real good pizza.

Been coming here for almost 20 years and they serve up a solid slice and there is a lot of seating for a quick stop while shopping.

Solid place when I am in the mood for a slice or two of pizza. Absolutely no complaints.
The dough is a little sweet as if they put some sugar in it. The slices are satiating and sometimes I’ll indulge in a diet coke too, which is always fun. Downtown Westport is cute, especially on the off hours when it’s a treat to be there.

Ah, how the mighty have fallen, huh? This was a cornerstone of my youth, but in recent years, Westport Pizza has become a husk of itself. The problem is that they just don’t appear to give a shit anymore. I finally dropped them after a number of years of getting woefully undercooked pizzas. We’re talking chewy crust that tastes like cardboard and mealy cheese. Furthermore, they’re late. Always. Delivery? Always longer than they say. Pickup? You walk in when they tell you it’ll be ready, and they looked shocked you’re there. It’ll just be another 15 minutes, since they haven’t even put it in the oven yet, you see. I guess when every attempted competitor falls, you become complacent. A shame. I’ve recently discovered Joe’s Pizza near Westport Pizza, and it is everything I remember this once great pizzeria being.

There was a piece of black hair baked into my pizza when I visited for the first time over the weekend. I want to vomit just thinking about it. Such a bummer because it’s just the style of pizza I like.

Fail. We ordered 4 pizzas for delivery. They promised 45 minutes to an hour. After an hour and a quarter, we called back. Our pizzas were still in the oven. And we live 15 minutes away. Are you kidding me? The pizza’s not bad, but not nearly good enough for that long a wait.

Yuck. I tried this pizza joint for delivery because all the locals seem to rave about it and was sorely disappointed. The pizza isn’t horrible but it’s certainly not good. Cooked unevenly, cheap ingredients, bland and amateur, and this is the pizza place that is the staple of Westport? I guess being from New York, I hold my pizza to a higher standard than that.
