Best Greek restaurant so far! After eating a nice Greek salad and lamb chop, you can walk around beach right away. I want to come back next time!!! you better make a phone call for a reservation, because this place is tiny. I wish this restaurant continues another 100 years.

Very disappointed we couldn’t eat here, based on the positive feedback on Unilocal. In traveling to Westport on a Valentine’s Day weekend and everyone telling us we should make reservations, we called ahead several times to attempt making a reservation. No one ever answered, and the phone even went straight to voicemail at one point. It looked like one of the better places to eat in the town, so we didn’t want to show up and not have a place to eat. But we ended up eating dinner elsewhere. It was also disappointing that despite several other reviewers stating to make a reservation, when we drove by(after we’d already eaten) the parking lot was close to empty. I guess they just didn’t feel like answering phones that day.

My grandparents were all«oh boy, we need to eat at this place. Its the best» that should have tipped me off right away. The last time I trusted a grandparent I had to eat a spam stew and cereal with bugs in it. But I thought to myself, you know, maybe I’ll get something safe, like spaghetti(at a greek restaurant). You guessed it, the greeks really must have been lacking in noodle skills because my spaghetti was floating on a plate covered in water. Thats beside the point though. At a table next to me a little baby asked politely for a glass of water and the beastial woman who owned the joint rolled her eyes. At a baby. Every once in a while I would look up suddenly from my partially submerged meal to see the woman glaring at me from behind a corner, with just one eye showing. Like maybe I was going to run out without paying. I would have if she hadn’t been watching so closely…

I called ahead and the owner said they close at 8pm so we showed up a 6:30. The owner looks at us after we’ve been standing next to the«please wait to be seated» sign for several minutes and she said«I’m not taking anymore tables tonight». I mentioned I called ahead to check your closing time and she said«but you didn’t make reservations you just asked what time we closed». Okay, the sign on their door said reservations are not necessary unless you have a party of 8 or more. I’m very disappointed. She could have just told us over the phone we should reserve a table and they’re not taking anymore walk ins. She was not apologetic at all.

Absolutely love this restaurant! The food is always thoughtfully prepared and always tasty. My husband had the full Greek salad with chicken and it was not only delicious, it was huge! I had the seafood combo and added a small Greek salad for only $ 2.95 more, my salad was so good. And don’t forget to leave room for the owners homemade, amazing Tiramisu, omg it is the best I have ever had. Everything they serve, they make fresh and you can tell.

Unexpected… an ‘off the beaten path’ restaurant(across the street from a lighthouse) offering Greek/Mediterranean meals and seafood. We dined on delectable Greek salad and gyros served in homemade pitas. Dining area was warmly decorated and even the bathroom smelled great!

Super small restaurant with only 38 seats. They must be good because they had a 1.5 –2 hour wait on Sunday at 1pm. Highly recommend reservations. They have a sign on the door that says they are required for parties of 5 or more

Pretty good food! My family and I ordered takeout: a patty melt, bacon cheeseburger, shrimp greek salad, and spaghetti with meat sauce. We were tired of eating seafood all 3 meals on vacation in Westport, so it was a good change. Really sweet lady at the front desk. Really good bread and free coffee cake that came with it. The food just wasn’t great. Patty melt was greasy and had weird bread and the spaghetti sauce had no flavor to it! Shrimp salad was really good and they didn’t mess anything up on the cheeseburger! Also, the building looks like it might be for sale? Overall it satisfied our needs for the night.

By far my favorite restaurant in Westport! The owners are such nice people and always go above and beyond to make sure your experience with them is great! They gyros are to die for! I especially love the shrimp Gyro. Their Greek salad is amazing. Everything is home made and the meals are huge for the price. Sometimes… Yes reservations are needed, but you have to keep in mind this is the very best in the area and the restaurant is very small. Just call ahead and see if they have seating for you. If not you can always get an order to go! You won’t regret it!

Their lunchtime business was mostly takeout — people coming in and picking up bags of food. But it was a pleasure to sit there and eat. The view out the window is of the historic lighthouse across the street. Good food — a good selection of sea food and Greek dishes. Clean bathrooms. Pleasant waitress. My only complaint is that the place had a strong floral perfume(different from that of the bathroom) — not what you’d expect of an eating establishment. By the time our meal came, I wasn’t bothered as much by it, but it does take some getting used to.

We posted up at Château Wesport and walked to this place each day. I really liked the food and so did my partner. Each day they had different soups, which btw where great. The prawn and veg stir fry was made with a variety of veggies and a sauce that had hints of asian influence. I also had the chicken Souvlaki which was done perfectly and served with what seemed like home made flatbread. The Tzatziki was great too. The older couple the runs the place are absolutely sweethearts. We had a little one with us who kinda made a mess and the owner didn’t even blink an eye, in fact she packed up a little carton of something special for her. One day I left my iPhone there. I was walking down the street and she waved me in to give me the phone.
For Westport, this place is tops in my book. Healthy home made greek food. Check it out.

Very friendly owner. Great variety of food choices. I went with a Greek salad and beef gyro. The salad was gorgeous and I ordered the half size… it was huge! The gryo did not disappoint! The beef was tender. the bread crispy soft. You need to come!

Pleasantly surprised, stopped here for dinner because it’s close to our condo. Very good food and friendly, efficient service. I had their special with skewered prime rib and prawns, which was excellent. Partner had spaghetti with meat sauce which was a large portion, and nicely flavored. A nice little mom and pop operation. A little pricey for Westport but worth a stop!

Finally ate here for lunch after trying for dinner several times but was too busy. Service by the owner was good. Menu is combo of Greek and american fare. Started with a clam chowder which was decent(3 stars), then the chicken gyro with Greek salad. The gyro was solid, good chicken, warm grilled pita that was still soft, but the tzazicki sauce on the side seemed to be sour cream with chives… that is not traditional and gets my thumbs down vote. The Greek salad was excellent with a very good dressing. Burgers were slightly over cooked and no way are 1⁄3 pound as advertised, fries were fresh with a large portion. Two had the beef gyro, which were OK, but the meat should be a mix of beef and lamb. Again, not traditional and not as good in my opinion. There was no lamb on the menu… what’s up with that? So, decent but not more than a 3 star food situation.

Unilocal is such BS. My husband dined here and had a negative experience. He left a solid review about the low quality of food, only to have it now gone from Unilocal???WTH??? But oh well– look how awesome this place is, they’re now trying to sell it. Good luck.

We had the beef gyros with greek salad, a side order of cheese toast and tiramisu. The beef was not the normal greek seasoned beef I have come to expect but it was still very good. The salad was the best greek salad I have had. Really delicious. The cheese toast was so good. The bread was fresh and soft with crispy edges and plenty of cheese. The tiramisu was the best I have had also. Obviously home made it was amazing!

My wife and I were visiting from Portland for the weekend, staying at a motel near the harbor. We’d eaten at a number of places around town, and paid pretty much 5-star prices, but never really found that place with the«5-star feel». Until now. We were taking in the local scenery which included the lighthouse, and couldn’t help but notice a very new-looking restaurant across the street. Hopped up and looked at the menu, and it became clear that we’d be back for dinner this evening. They just opened the place up about two months back, but the owners, Helen and George, have owned several other restaurants in the past. Returned for dinner, and was greeted very warmly by our hostess. Helen emerged to welcome us and take our order. Tonight’s special was Souvlaki(two grilled skewers, one of beef tenderloin and the other prawns), $ 22, and my wife went for it along with a regular side salad. I chose the grilled salmon($ 19) with the side of today’s soup, clam chowder. The salad and chowder arrived almost immediately. The salad was romaine, very fresh and crisp, with cuts of tomato and cucumber, dressed with a home-made bleu-cheese. As side salads go, this was one of the best. My clam chowder was really fantastic, far better than the one I had last night on the harbor strip. The dinner was fantastic all around. My salmon was a perfectly-seasoned and grilled filet of Wild Coho, with assorted steamed veggies and potatoes. My wife’s tenderloin and prawns were flawlessly cooked and had a lovely sauce. We mentioned we were in town for our anniversary, and Helen brought out a complimentary slice of the best baklava I’ve eaten, a wonderful touch and a lovely wrap-up to an already great meal. My wife ordered a bit of tea as well. Total price $ 48 plus tip. Best meal we’ve had in Westport and the prices were very competitive with those of lesser-quality food near the harbor. Given the local alternatives, THIS is the«5-star» place. Should we ever be back in town, we won’t hesitate to pop back in for dinner again, and I don’t doubt that next time, we’ll need reservations.
