Awful rubbery airport chicken sandwich I couldn’t eat. Now I’m off to find edible food. Sure wish I didn’t have to pay for this glass of wine now that I have no edible food to go with it, but these are the joys of happening upon a random restaurant during the glamour of travel. Yuck.

Rand is a great bartender! We always sit at the bar and grab a bite and a beer. The best views Of any airport restaurant in the country. Always nice to know when we fly in to SLC, we have a nice breather before we come home.

Eating at the busiest restaurant in an airport can go one of two ways: either they’re so busy because the food and service they provide is phenomenal or they’re too busy to provide good service. Well, going home from a work conference, 5 colleagues and I happened to be on the same connecting flight so we all decided to have lunch before we departed. The service was good, our waitress was attentive. However, the food simply took way too long for a restaurant that is in an airport! You would think they’re pros at expediting the process, but nope. So we finally received our food. I was more than happy with my order: marzen bbq chicken sandwich with fruit. However, a co-worker order the same, and when she complained that the chicken was unusually tough, we noticed it was completely pink on the inside. «Do you want us to cook another?» Uhh, no we have to go.

This is a popular restaurant that most people know about, so I won’t waste time reviewing the food and drinks — which are as expected. The views from here as excellent. You can see the mountain range and aircraft going in and out of the gates. The reason for the 2 star is the slow service. It’s really, really slow.

My expectations were pretty low coming here, as they always are for airport restaurants, but they did a surprisingly great job. On arrival, I was immediately seated and asked if I needed a power outlet — brilliant! I did, and expected to be seated at some dark table in the back, but no! I was instead seated in the front, next to the bar, overlooking the airport lobby, and next to an outlet. Nice! After sitting down, I set out my laptop and immersed myself in work. I ordered a glass of red wine and the Harvest Chicken Salad, both of which arrived quickly. Before I knew it I had only 30 minutes left until take-off, meaning boarding was already well-underway. I downed my wine, gulfed down some salad, and flagged down my server for the check and a box. I think it took her a total of 2 minutes to bring me my check, run my card, and return with the receipt and my box. Impressive! In terms of food quality, while it’s not exactly farm-to-table fresh, it’s pretty good! The Harvest Chicken Salad was tasty. It had mixed greens topped with pecans, apples, grapes, feta cheese and chicken w/a lemon vinaigrette. The wine was good too. Four stars for great service!

For an airport sit-down restaurant you will want to try Gordon Biersch. It was early evening and I was tempted to have a pint but didn’t. The food was good. Service was good. A wide selection to please almost anyone. Portion were large(seems to be the standard at restaurants these days) and since we were about to board a place the doggie bags had to be eschewed.

I have had good experiences here in the past but today was awful! Extremely slow service. The table I was seated at had blobs of syrup or jelly and appeared to have been lightly wiped down with a dry cloth. When I asked to have it wiped down the busser was less than friendly I was brought a glass of OJ which was not mine but I pointed out it was in a visibly dirty glass! The coffee cream pitcher was filthy and it was evident had been on tables before mine I ordered the eggs Benedict and they were lukewarm Very disappointed I will think twice before returning next time I’m traveling through SLC.

Pretty good food and quick service for the most part. The garlic fries are delish! Just bring a mint or gum to freshen your breath after!

This is not a review for Gordon Biersch in a general sense, this is a review for the GB at the Salt Lake City airport. I’ve always enjoyed GB in the past, so imagine my surprise when I saw a beautiful GB right next to my terminal. Yea, I thought, a tasty meal and a beer before I board the plane. First tip if you’re new to Utah: order the beer in bottles and not draught if you want above the flavorless 3.2% they are required to sell on tap. This is a minor, trivial matter though really. How was the food you might ask. Um, not good. It was like the line cooks were handed recipe cards with no idea how to execute the dishes. Everything was overcooked and drenched in oil. I mean dripping and not in a yum this virgin olive oil poured on my fresh bread is so good dripping.

For and airport restaurant I was really impressed. The atmosphere was very nice and inviting, great music and great service. Every one was very attentive and friendly. The food came fast! My beer came fast! I had the spring rolls for appetizer and it was tasty, the roasted turkey on sourdough and it was REALLY good. Not a fan of the garlic fries, the big chunks of garlic are over powering for me. But I will go back again and try more menu items. There was alot to choose from.

After a short wait to be seated(hostess nowhere in sight) I settled into a mini booth. Quite comfy and BONUS! had an outlet so I can plug in and Unilocal more :) Ordered glass of Pinot Grigio and spinach salad with grilled salmon. Salad was pretty good. Salmon a tiny undercooked but I like it that way. Had huge pieces of delicious goat cheese, mushrooms, crumbled egg and bacon. Dressing I requested on the side and it was good too– tangy and a little sweet. Prices about average for airport. Wine $ 10 and salad w salmon around $ 15. Service was great, attentive but not hovering. Accommodating and sweet server. I’ll return here if I have time before future flights out of SLC.

Wow good place. Nice mountain view, local and other craft beer selection and an excellent Cobb Salad. Mini brat slider was also very tasty. Salad is big. Stephen my server could not have been nicer, more professional and welcoming. Apparently there are some state restrictions on locally produced beer alcohol content 3.2% so if your looking for a quicker pre flight buzz, you will want to ask for an out of state beer, which comes in aro 5.2%. Good stop!

A pretty good restaurant in SLC for dinner before a flight. Plenty of tables and booths for our party of three. Room for roller bags and charging stations. After driving for 2 hours from a work function we were hungry and thirsty. The great things are the beers and the garlic fries! I got the Golden Export, their lightest beer — it had good flavor and was very smooth. Garlic fries were thick, crispy, and garlicky! An appetizer order was devoured quickly by the three of us. My dinner entrée was cedar plank salmon with sweet ginger rice and veggies. Salmon cooked perfectly and was skin-on. Candied pecan toppings added some extra crunch and sweetness. Rice and veggies somewhat under-seasoned. Despite the good drinks and decent food — 3 stars since food service was really slow(30 mins!) and for some reason there were lots of flies around our table.

julie v. and i had some time before our flight so decided to have dinner here. when we got to the hostess and asked about their gluten free options, she seemed clueless, and told us she’d be back. she found the manager walking by and he was really nice. he went over the different options they had and we decided to try it out. we got the fish tacos with corn tortillas instead of flour. it was actually quite good and i enjoyed it. now the service is a whole other story. our server seemed to disappear after we ordered and we didn’t see her until an hour later when we tried to flag her down to get our bill. she never came by once to check on our food or to refill our water glasses. we paid and she didn’t come by for another 15 minutes, at which point she came by our table to pick up the bill, but then realized it was in her pocket already. she had forgotten to run it and said she’d be right back, but it was yet another 15 minutes before she came by. it was really awful service and there was no reason for that as they were not busy at all. i was worried about our flight as we had now been here for almost two hours and all we ordered was one fish taco entrée! there are too many other options in the airport to waste your time here — i suggest cat cora’s kitchen instead where the service is much better.

Breakfast at a brewery? Yes. Yes. Yes. Booze swerved at 8:00 am but the coffee is on and it’s hot and delicious. Served with a smile and polite recommendations on meals too. Breakfast burrito. Comes with a side of fresh fruit. And it’s huge! And it’s oh so good. Large chunks of ham and homemade pico. Delicious!

Easily one of the worst meals of my life taste wise. The service was excellent, prompt and courteous, but the food was absolutely horrid. The sliders appeared to be made as if they were competing for an awful food contest. They were cooked to a charcoal crisp. The buns that came on the sliders was broken into pieces before I ever touched it, stale, and of poor quality. one side had a teeny dollop of some sauce and a sliced pickle, but the entire presentation and overall dryness of the slider was absolutely laughable. We didn’t even attempt to complain about the food as we had no faith that we would even want to try another bite of food from this kitchen. We have only covered the sliders so far. The rest of the meal was almost as bad. The buffalo wings were definitely not made fresh and were of very low quality. The texture was awful, overcooked and spongy. The beer was good, as well as the service, but I will probably be having bad dreams about these sliders for some time into the future so there is no way I can rate this restaurant any higher than a 1.

First of all a Bloody Mary is the ultimate travel companion, and it was not bod at all, wanted a double but look what state I’m in? Shared sliders both Sirloin and Brats, along with Garlic Fries, was very good, the brats snapped first bite, and beef sliders were cooked perfectly. All in all a good experience while waiting for a flight

For an airport restaurant, not shabby at all. I decided to ask the numerous airport staff which restaurant they would recommend, and they all pointed the finger to this one. The service is slightly brusque but I believe this comes with running full tilt all day long. Everyone was more than considerate to me and I would deem the service as slightly above average. I was going to order the fish tacos until I saw the Sweet Roasted Onion & Feta Smothered Chips and Artisan Grilled Cheese. When these two menu items conspired to remove my freedom of choice, I was helpless and relented. They were fabulous! I gained a couple of pounds in one sitting but the choices were satisfying and have created a memory that will draw me back on my next trip.

What better way to spend some time in the airport after going through TSA than with a nice brew or two before boarding your plane? This restaurant is located right above security in terminal 1, so it’s very conveniently located. Service has always been friendly and efficient on each of my visits. The food and drink menu have a great variety of items. I really enjoyed the fish tacos and steak frites. And I loved the beer!

Its nice to sit down and feel like you’re eating in an actual restaurant as apposed to a airport food court. If they cleaned the windows it would have a lovely veiw of the mountain ranges. Played it safe… tis airport food after all. Got the grilled bbq Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Caesar Salad, and a cup of the tomato bisque. The BBQ grilled chicken sandwich: Under seasoned and very bland. The garlic french fries were suprisingly yummy. 2⁄5 The grilled chicken Caesar Salad: romaine lettuce wasn’t super fresh but atleast it still had some crunch. The chicken was bland and the portion size was a bit skimpy. The dressing was fine but in desperate need of salt. 2⁄5 Got a cup of tomato bisque this was probably my fav was alittle heavy but it was well seasoned and yummy. 3⁄5 The bill came out to about $ 32.00 w/o tip Again I didn’t go in expecting much… tis only an airport.
