Very Loud. Used to be a hang out for pilots but this place has lost it’s way. Bad food and loud music. Nothing but beer signs on the walls the beer companies pay lefties to put up. Kinda sad.

Great place for a beer and a burger and awesome service! Micki ALWAYS treats us right and has the best smile. This place is close to my work and we meet here for the occasional work bitch-fest. Don’t expect fine dining, you come here for a good time with friends and to have a cold one. Unique selection of wild game burgers. Where else can you get a kangaroo burger? Elk burger is on par with the best ones in Utah. Lately however, fries have been disappointing. I’d pay an extra $ 1 to go back to the waffle fries.

TERRIBLEVALUE. spent 10 dollars on a chicken sandwhich(bread sandwhich). Nothing but a bunch of bread! tiny piece of chicken u could eat in 4 bites. And the only reason I got that was because the chicken salad was like 16 bucks. Seriously? Youve got to be kidding me… Would never go back.

Good place to grab a bite to eat. Cold bottles of beers descents prices. Bartender was very good as his job. Places was half full and he managed it perfectly. Got to appreciate someone who knows there job.

I am staying across the street from this bar and there’s not many options of places to go near here, so I’ve been to this place 2 days in a row. The bartender Brett is the reason I would never come back to this place again. The guy has the most AWFUL attitude. At 10 pm he said he was doing last call, he closes every tables tabs out as fast as possible even though they would stay and spend more money. THEN he tells the patrons at the bar that it’s last call and just slaps down their tabs, basically telling them to get the F OUT. I asked him what the hours were and asked why he was so rude and he straight cussed at me, telling me I’m a sh*tty person bc the night before when I was tipsy I asked if he could put my drink in a to go cup, considering I am staying at hotel across the street. I’ve NEVER been spoken like that from an employee at a bar! This guy has 0 personality and is bad for business. I don’t even know how he stays employed. I will take my business else where, not only was he sour and mean, he also didn’t advise me that they were out of rice when I ordered my steak. So he forced potatoes on me and gave me major attitude when I brought it up. I used to be in this industry and have NEVER seen such AWFULSERVICE!

I happen to work for a company that uses a hotel directly across the street from this place. I would never go there particularly since the owner in the past has treated me like crap when I complained about a patron Who sat down right next to me and started smoking a cigarette while I tried to eat my meal. Of course times have changed, there is no longer smoking indoors. The only thing this place has going for it is that is very close to the hotel other than that the place is nothing go write home about. The food is average, and the drinks are just okay, service is eh, prices are just okay. If there is any question whether you would go here, don’t. If you have the means to go somewhere else by all means do it.

Had a great experience here! Server was great, knowledgable and have great suggestions. Beer choices were good… was hoping for more local offerings. No Epic? Got a chance to chat with the owner who was so friendly and fun to talk to. Definitely worth a visit especially if staying at a local hotel.

My bartender/server was unfriendly and almost rude. My chicken sandwich was dry. The water I ordered was in a dirty glass. I’ve been here many times and this will be the last. Steadily declining.

The owner reached out and informed me they let Andrea go! So with that being said give this place a try! The bartender was super chill!

Found this place because the weather in my hometown was terrible and delayed my flight. The owner, Lofte, was wonderfully nice. Even though technically closing he still welcomed weary travelers in for a couple of beers. Large selection of booze, many beers on tap. Also happy to report a wide variety of local brews. After downing a couple of beers he offered us a ride to Denny’s as his kitchen had closed down for the night. I’d be back any chance I got.

Fantastic drinks on tap with great prices but nothing compares to the Garlic Burger that is offered. One of the best I’ve had in Utah and service has been consistent. The Holiday Inn Express and Suites recommended them and it was well worth the 3 minute walk.

Great menu, Great prices, Great staff, and Fantastic food. If it wasn’t for this place, I wouldn’t be staying at the Radisson. Appetizer: Had the 3 choice sampler(wings, strips, taquitos) and the portions and taste is spot on! Best dam strips I ever had Entrée: I had the rib eye and it was perfectly cooked(med-rare). Flavor was spot on, didn’t have to add salt or pepper. They also have a bunch of exotic burgers that I will be trying(elk, ostrich, antelope and a bunch of others) The staff and owner are real nice people! They make you feel like you’re a local even tho they just seen you for the first time. A must try place if you’re stuck in the radisson or any near by hotel.

Stopped in for a quick bite after being notified that my flight had been canceled. Was greeted by Bertina and she was my waitress as well. The sign of good service is a server bringing me something before I have to ask for it. This was Berina… Overall, this is a typical sports bar with a bit of a twist as the tables are laminated with the seals of the military branches. After speaking with the owner, it was rather obvious that he’s a big supporter of the military and is grateful for the their service to the country. I had the Cajon Chicken Strips that were very, very good as the marinade was excellent and no breading on the chicken at all… Great food, great atmosphere and great service…

Hungry and thirsty after a long night of travel and a full day of training. This place was close to my hotel and convenient. Walked in and took a seat. Cool military tables. The setting was interesting. My kind of digs. Took a while to get service… 30 minutes. I was too tired to try anyplace else. So i went with it. The waitress started off nice. Told me the specials… I ordered up a drink. It was strong enough to impress me. Ordered up the blackened ribeye. Tasted ok but was thin and dry. But after a hard day it tasted like heaven. Finished dinner and ordered another drink. Wasnt as strong as the first but i was cool with that. I was feeling mellow, and was kind of getting into the vibe of the place. Asked the waitress if she could tell me the history of the pub(she was the only waitress and it was starting to get busy). She promised she would, right after delivering more drinks. Then it got weird. She must have been overworked, upset or just plain mad. She is speed-walking all over. Runs into me… Like wham! Full boobs to the back of my head. I tell her no biggy(still feeling mellow and say«if you have to have something run into you, might as well be those». Now, im not trying to be clever, just trying to make her laugh a bit from a potentially embarrassing ordeal. She never came back to my table except to deliver the check(another 30 minutes later), and when she finally did she goes off on the table behind me. Well, actually complaining to the table behind me about some tip or another. F bombing the heck out of this sad sack. It was intense, persistent, brutal and loud. Now im a former Marine who can get quite colorful with my own lingo… But she made me cringe. From there it only went south. She spewed so much hate out that it woke me up and sobered my mind to the fact that the setting was simply ok… The food was bland and the drinks were poorly mixed. I left a $.39 tip. Never looked back

Great burgers! Kangaroo, bison, antelope, alligator, and other exotic burgers are very good and only $ 10. Very nice, fast and friendly staff and service. Great place and clean bathrooms.

This bar has always been a nice little place to grab a drink or a snack. There’s nothing special here; the beers are standard and the food is simply ok. But the staff is really nice and the prices are fine.

Really simple… I’d just like GREEN steamed broccoli. Not steamed to mush. TWO nights in a row. We won’t discuss how ridiculously long it took to get my steamed broccoli and chicken strips in a nearly empty establishment.

With Utah’s eccentric drinking laws, this establishment is classified as a «Private Club» with absolutely no admittance of children under 21. Thus, families are not welcome, and I saw an instance where a trio with a teenager was asked to leave. Aside from Utah’s laws, the club is a bar with a burger chef on the side. It’s claim to fame is the game meats used for burgers including venison and ostrich. I thought it was decent fare, but not SLC’s best restaurant. It was next to the hotel by the airport, and it’s often frequented with pilots and flight attendants. The other patrons were courteous, but did not like to mingle with out-of-towners. The staff was much the same.

REVIEWISATMOSPHEREONLY I stop in here after evenings out with customers as it’s conveniently located next to my hotel and I want some alone time after talking shop all night long. The place has just a weird feel to it– part restaurant, part bar, part bingo hall, part«guy trying too hard to impress his friends with basement bar», part always last call as the lights are on high beam and when you walk in it reminds me of Pee Wee Herman in the biker bar. Just weird. Bar is very small and there is no music. So I still don’t know why I end up here. I always leave feeling disappointed because I know there are better places to go, sort of like a post booty call walk of shame.(This has more of a confession feel to it rather than review now!) Bottom line, you’ll be able to get a beer but you’ll feel like needing a shower afterwards.

If you find yourself stuck at a hotel near the SLC airport, like I am for work once a year, you will be very thankful Loftes exists. Suffice to say ur pretty much screwed in the restaurant or bar category. The only other food within walking distance is some chain fast food joints. Loftes fits nicely between a dive bar and an Applebee’s for food selection and ambiance. I’m appreciative of the rather extensive menu, compared to what one would expect when first walking in. Though the execution of the menu pretty much fits what u would expect when walking in. I have never had a bad meal here, I have also never had a good meal here if that makes sense. Just enough to keep me coming back to have a beer and some dinner with colleagues. The servers always do a good job and the prices are right. Maybe a 2 star joint anywhere else but in the absence of competition, Loftes fits the bill.
