I purchased a quite expensive scooter here and it broke right away. I didn’t get the buyer protection plan so this was quite distressing. Sara helped me and she went above and beyond to work this out for me.

Not sure why this toys-r-us has such low reviews… had everything we needed and then some! My only complaint was that there were multiple children running around like banshees and it was not very safe for my one-year-old to walk on her own. I was afraid she was going to get toppled. Employees should really enforce a safe environment in the store; ie, don’t let children take scooters as fast as they can while screaming down the aisles!

I thought I was going to have such a wider selection coming in here as opposed to going to Target to shop for the small children in my family. However, everything was largely picked over(which I understand is partially my own fault for shopping last-minute… but I digress), and much of the stock on the shelves was damaged. The store seemed old and dirty and just… kind of depressing to be honest. Quite the opposite of what I would imagine a toy store to be like. One good thing was that when I was finally ready to check out, there were plenty of registers open, and a cashier ready and waiting to help me. In the future, though, I think I’d rather just shop for toys at Target.

Boy has this place really gone downhill – I am not sure why but the past few times I have been there, the service is bad, its not very well organized. This time I went to buy a lego set for my daughter’s birthday(wow are legos over priced – but that is a whole different oprah and has nothing to do with TRU). I found the set I wanted, walked up to the front to find one check out lane with the light on and another family waiting – but no cashier… there was someone at the customer service desk, with 3 people in linew waiting to check out. As I stood there 3 more parties came to check out – after about 7 minutes someone finally showed – I almost left…

The first thing you notice is that the shelves are perpetually picked bare. Then, once you realize that the video game bins are locked tight, you notice that they have next to no staff. We had to wait in the one line they had open to ask for someone with a key to help us, then wait another five minutes for someone with a key to show up. Once they did, they let us know it was inconvenient that we wanted something from *that* cage, as the lock is problematic. Oh, I’m sorry to have inconvenienced you, toy store clerk. If it weren’t for my son wanting to use his gift card that afternoon, I would have waited for you to get the cage open then tell you never mind, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

OK this Toys R Us is kind of in a strange location if you ask me but whatever. We went in there before Christmas just looking and the store was a madhouse so that was partly our mistake but the employees looked like they were hiding from people to avoid being asked questions and the store was a wreck it also smelled funny. Which could have been children or I’m not sure… I guess if you need to go to the toy store it works but I’d go somewhere else

Dirty, Dingy, Dinky. No selection. Messy. I left Empty Handed. And All I was looking for was a Teddy Bear. Although I have to admit, even if I’d found one, I’d have been convinced that it had bedbugs or something. This place is FILTHY. I felt as if I needed a shower when I escaped.

This store has made a short list of places I will never return to, I was buying my son a pow pow power wheel for Christmas and I called ahead to get the one I wanted they said«no problem!» So I went in the next day to get it and they sold it. So they check other stores and say there park meadows store has two. I ask if they will call to put one on hold she replies with«you can call» in a snotty voice without offering the number. so I look up the number on my own give them a call, after only being on hold for 15 minutes I heard some one pick up the phone yell at someone else and place me back on hold… A little more then 5 mins goes by and some one picks up and says«one was our display and the other sold a couple of mins ago»… So now I’m super ticked off. the cashier tells me we just put the display together yesterday and the battery isn’t even in it. I look at her then say«bull s***, I’ve been looking at it for over a week now and every time the battery is in it» she feels stupid and apologizes. so I say put a new battery in it and we have a deal, all of a sudden they can’t sell the display model??? so I’m forced into buying the one that cost a lot more with no offer of a discount for there mistake or mis information. The end of it all it was missing parts and I had to get corporate involved!

This Toys R Us location is ok. The store does seem to be in a dying retail sector next to the Westminster Mall which is also dying and that is a very sad thing. Toy selection is ok, however the friendliness level of the staff there varies widely.
