Love the hookah. Beer is great. Service is great. I have tried the nachos but I don’t recommend it. Honestly, what do I expect from a Mediterranean resturant. Hopefully I’ll try something new next time I go

What’s the point of hiring a whole bunch of servers when they don’t even provide proper services! The girls here are so biased. Only sitting at the tables that they either know the customers or at the tables that they think they can scam some cash from old men and players. I thought it’s a Quan Nhau not a whore house. Do your job right and learn to provide at LEAST decent customer service. Don’t walk around and act like you’re working. No wonder why this place is dead. It may be a big decent environment but the people are not decent at all.

My side came out first. By the the time my skewers came out it was cold. The pork belly skewers were tiny. For the price I expected double the amount. The duck tacos had two tiny pieces of duck in each of them and were stone cold when delivered to the table. They were soggy and fell apart. The boa boa buns were tiny. The steam buns were hard in some spots and I got mostly pure fat. However, the staff are friendly. The nice décor and modern atmosphere is deceiving. Wouldn’t go to this restaurant again.

Came here Saturday, it’s 100 degrees inside, come on guys, don’t be cheap and turn on the AC. So many quan nhau and you guys can’t even keep the customers happy. Next time i’m going to Tram Chim or Gio.

Went here with my best friend. Food was good with big portions compared to other places. Waitresses were attentive but I wished they would at least sat down and talk to two single guys. Smoking is allowed and karaōke was awesome.

The waitresses so rude, careless. There’s no miles on their faces. Look like they are being forced to be there. I had to run around to find them. I won’t come back… However, the foods really good.

Went here for a friends«after party» bday Price is decent and the people are nice. The only thing i hate is that people smoke INSIDE and some customers sorta«harass» the girl workers here. Typical Viet bar/restaurant i guess

Sticky menus, sticky floors. The staff isn’t uptight, but they sure aren’t welcoming either. I guess it’s the typical kinda service you’d expect from a Vietnamese establishment. I actually really enjoy the food and a lot of their dishes are so fun. Those razor clams. You have to get them. As a twenty something year old, I do have to say I don’t really dig the loud karaōke, but it sure gives the older patrons a lot of entertainment. That and the handsy older men really seem to enjoy the female servers’ company. Good place to just drink, eat and be super loud with friends. But it definitely helps if someone in your party confidently speaks Vietnamese. Otherwise, I suggest you don’t come.

Hanging with friends! Karaōke Sat. night. Didn’t try the food, just had drinks. It’s a nice big joint. Staff were very attentive. One major issue: there were two homeless guys hanging outside. Both times I went outside to chat with friends, each one would come up to us and ask for money. It was so uncomfortable. They freaked me out! The security was outside guarding the door and didn’t ask them to leave. This kind of stuff would affect their business… because it definitely turn people away, like myself.

Was very hesitant to come in after reading the reviews. I decided to try anyways. OMFG!!! Unilocalers be alert… Other Unilocalers is right about the sticky menus! I turned the pages with a napkin. Ewwww. Anyways. Such a huge place to drink. For the non Vietnam people its a drinking and drinking place. Came here on a Saturday around 4. We were the only table at this time. They were getting ready for Saturday night setting up the tables etc. First dish is the view tiet canh it was surprisingly delicious 2nd dish mango with pork and shrimp. I love this dish I basically at the whole dish by myself Last dish grilled lamp chops Allright I guess taste like Korean galbi had better. Of course we had beers with our food. Service at this time was not bad at all. The girl that served us was not wearing blue as other Unilocalers mentioned. Maybe I came way too early. I would be back to try the other dishes.

****************************** REVIEW839 ******************************* My BFF took me here for some serious QUANNHAU Vietnamese yummy food and karaōke. If you expect a nice lounge for all people, this is NOT a place for you. Ocean Blue Restaurant & Lounge is another Viet QUANNHAU, unlike San Jose, the girls here are just average looking, and not in lingerie, but they are nice girls. The food here is really good and the drinks are reasonable. The venue is casual, focused on Vietnamese clienteles only. — Goi Ga — shredded chicken, cabbage, onion salad is really good. — Chiem Cut Lan Bot — battered deep fried quail — authentic Viet food, crispy skin, crunchy bone, tasty meat. — Mango dried squid salad — this was just perfect for beer drinkers. — Thai Hot Pot — seafood, generous and so tasty broth. — Crispy burnt rice with shredded dried pork, Chinese sausage, and raw bittermelon — I wasn’t sure if this is a Viet dish, because the raw bittermelon threw me off, but they went well together. — Shaking beef — cube filet mignon over watercress salad, this was really good. They offer typical Hennessy Bottles all kind, a few choices for wines, and beers. Service was good and the price is so reasonable. We got to sing karaōke on stage, unlike QUANNHAU in San Jose, where we sing at our table. I would come back for the food, definitely!

Pros: great place to grab a few beers and some great tasting appetizers with some friends while watching a game. Sat down with some friends who were already drinking and they immediately served me an ice cold beer. And whenever I finished one they had another ready for me. Granted it was the Super Bowl and I think my friends just had buckets of beers coming to us and the waitresses probably wanted to keep the tab high. It was nice to have some good on key customer service. Cons: this is biased, but the place is smoking so if you do not enjoy smoke in the air like me, this feature may be a turn off. I also think the place must have had two separate companies providing television services because half the TV’s were not synced correctly with the sound so I was viewing half the Super Bowl before I could hear what was happening for sure(kinda annoying) and for that I will take off a star. Neutral notes: I am comfortable with going to places like these despite my inability to speak Vietnamese, but this place is nearly 100% Vietnamese, so if you’re not comfortable being somewhere like that, I’d beware. It was still great service and people didn’t give me weird looks for being there(like the recently closed Amazon).

Okay, maybe It’s cause I’m not Vietnamese, so this review maybe not be fair. But I don’t even know where to start. So I will just say whatever comes to my head. Menu – Variety of food.(The only good thing I can think of) They have limited menus. The menus are all sticky. Price – Average. Not cheap, but not expensive. $ 10−15/plate Portion – Pretty big portion. Atmosphere – Mood lighting. Pretty big restaurant. Karaōke at the front of the restaurant. Different colored lights in the front with a person there playing music for you. Music /Karaōke – Horrible. Just. horrible. It’s pure Vietnamese music that is just RIGHT in my face. Sorry if I’m offending anyone, but it’s just really not my thing. All amateurs singing. And just, so bad. Music is just blasting. Girls – Theme is to wear blue. But they are. just with terrible services. Can’t suggest any good food. Don’t respond right. Food – Sashimi(supposedly raved), just frozen and horrible. One of the worst I’ve had. MSG in their soup. Though it does taste good. Just pumped with MSG. Baked snails — It was prepared well. Lots of snails. I did like it, but I prefer it prepared another way. Roasted Veal, not bad. It’s prepared in a very traditional Vietnamese way. Not my thing either, but if you like the vietnamese type of veal, then you would love it. Lastly, one more plus side.(2nd plus only) Lots of TVs. They had Fuel channel on, at least I could watch the UFC fights.

Came here with friends from out of town to hangout last minute before they left the next morning. One of the girl’s brother is a regular here. I don’t go to these type of places much, but I guess ever karaōke lounge/restaurant is similar. According to the brother who’s a regular, the waitresses color-coordinate with one another with their outfits. Cute. We got a bucket of beer and some soju bottles and did shots while the singer did the rounds of songs. It was a chill night. We didn’t know what time they closed until the lights started getting brighter. The place closed around 12−1230am. Overall, the place is nice, cheap alcohol, not so sure about the food, probably cheap too.

Overall: Big location to come with your friends to listen to Vietnamese music, see some Asian waitress with big honkers and eat some ‘drinking’(nhau) food. Food: The food was decent. I prefer Quan Gio better, but the Bo Luc Lac(filet mignon cube steak) was made well. Thousand year old egg mixed with baby shrimp was decent. However, I was kind of sad about the snails here. I usually order grilled snails and coconut snails, but they only had steamed snails. The steamed snails didn’t have much of a taste and the coconut snails were very VERY coconutty here. At other places, usually there is a little kick of spice, or saltiness, but these coconut snails were WAY too bland. The Balut was decent(some were larger so you could actually see more of the fur), but some were tiny. Drinks: Beer was $ 2 per bottle, and we got a bucket full. It’s kind of cool if you don’t finish the beer(unopened of course), you don’t get charged for it. Service: Wasn’t that good Environment: This place is really big and close late if you want to come with a group of friends. They have cool Japanese lanterns which changes colors. The place(I think) says no smoking, but there is smoking inside and it does get stuffy. The location itself is very big.

No complaints at all. Fairly nice place with a decent menu. Obviously, it’s a Vietnamese lounge atmosphere so the menu and clientele reflect that. I go to these places because they’re authentic. Sort of a hostess bar/lounge/eatery, it is more like a restaurant than a lounge.

this late night hotspot is a must go for late night munchies and drinks. the doors open for lunch at 2:30 and stay open till closing at 1:30 in the morning. i would suggest only coming here at night though, as most of the crowd are coming off of work and only go here for the nightlife. the people: fun! the waitresses are friendly and very nice(and sexy), the service was nice and helpful as well. the lady that owns the place is there every night always chatting up the guests and customers, and is down to sing some songs on the karaōke machine if enough of the guests agree(haha!) did i mention there’s a karaōke machine yet? oh yeah, THERE’S A KARAOKEMACHINE! that soo rare to find in Westminster! and its always on and blasting every night! great food!!! the thai chicken skewers and the Bo luc Lac is sooooo good! the fried rice is a nice medium to try if you aren’t down to try their other foods. HOTPOT! that, i must say, is the main dish that is ordered every night! i highly recommend this to anyone that is out late at night, in the mood for munchies, and good company. ps: full bar.
