I like Michael’s a lot. I seem to be able to find anything I’m looking for craft wise there. I went to five stores trying to find the particular craft that I wanted to do I walked into the store at Michael’s and asked the girl about what I was looking for and she pointed me straight to it. She even made sure she had the right size for what I was looking for. They also gave me a coupon for 40% off and constantly send me coupons all the time. I am more of a fan of this store then any other craft store.

I mostly only use the frame department at this store and have had a number of pieces framed here. Their suggestions regarding matting, frame style and colors is always spot on. They always do an excellent job and I have been happy with the quality of work. The only issues I have with the frame department is that they NEVER meet their dead line(they impose their own deadlines by the way). I have just come to assume that they will be late, and they always are. Also, they are expensive. Framing is generally expansive and it really shouldn’t be.

I’m a pretty loyal Hobby Lobby shopper, but when I received a gift card to Michaels, I figured I couldn’t let it go to waste. It’s a decent store, but it’s horribly cramped compared to other craft stores. Also, the priority to have more than one cash register going at a time seems to be lacking. Normally you wouldn’t be able to judge that kind of thing in one visit, but a shopper behind me told her friend, «It’s always like this. The line grows longer and longer, yet nobody comes to help at the registers.» The selection of items is ok, but like the store, smaller and more limited than other places. I would probably return for a good sale on something I need, but wouldn’t make it my «go to» place.
