My FH and I were craving a bar burger and since this place is close to our home, we decided to stop in and see what it was about and hoped they served some type of burger that would satisfy our needs. Like the first reviewer, I think they changed names, I don’t know when, but it’s now called Tommy’s Pub & Grill. Our initial thought when walking up was, this must be a biker bar, but none the less, not a big deal, we walked inside and saw an assortment of folks. Some 50 – 60 something folks were at the bar and they looked like regulars. A few biker dudes at the other end and an older gentleman playing pool. It wasn’t too busy, rather dead for a Thursday night, but it worked out perfect. We found a booth near the front and ordered a $ 1.50PBR from tap and a ½lb loaded burger w/fries(& onion rings). I have to say, that was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Not because I was craving one, but because it was plump, juicy, and cooked just right. It was seasoned well and needed no additional salt or pepper. The fries were a little bland and the onion rings were lacking in onion, but were crispy, so overall okay. But the burger was out of this world. They were a little stingy on the fixings and the side of fries, but hey, it was just enough to fill my tummy with satisfaction. There was only one server/bartender working, but she was on point. She even comped us an additional PBR because she forgot to bring it. It wasn’t a big deal at all and I compensated for it in her tip. She was great, I can’t complain. I think the owner Tommy was around as well. He asked how our meal was because clearly we’d never been to this joint before and we thought that was kind of him. Overall, good food and good crowd. Now next time I need to watch my step when I get out of the booth. I busted my tail on the floor when I missed the step and I wasn’t even buzzed. OOOPS! LOL

We had a fabulous dinner next door so we decided to check out Tommy’s Pub & Grill to see what it was all about(they must have changed the name recently). There is a big smoker outside but it wasn’t smoking anything. Hopefully they smoke some food in the summer. It was karaōke night and usually that’s a bad thing but it seemed like everyone in the bar could sing. Weird! The crowd was all over the place in ages and it made it very diverse. A few younger women were obviously trained singers and a few older gentlemen could really belt out the tunes. It was pretty loud but we enjoyed it. The bartender was the only one working so she was really busy. But we never had to wait for another drink because she was really on top of things. She had a great attitude, too. After the karaōke finished we played a lot of jukebox music. There was a good mix of old and new stuff. We didn’t try any of the food because we just had dinner but we did take a look at the menu. It had fairly standard bar food listed and the prices were good. It’s a little far from my neighborhood but it’s definitely a place I’d visit again. It was the awesome, happy people that made it so much fun.
