Everything on my plate was bland, the country gravy was terrible on my undercooked country fried steak. The breading was flavorless and soggy. I remember the biscuit was really good, the mashed potatoes bleh. The service was friendly That smell is real. I’m not sensitive to it but some people definitely will react

Hidden away truck stop with dirt lot, but food at the restaurant is great. We’ve stopped here several times over the years for breakfast and dinner and we’ve always been happy with the food. Much better than the fast food down the street. It isn’t open 24 hours though, I think it closes around 10 pm.

Old smell old fashion breakfast service and food. Everything you expect from a diner. Good food and a few old timers at the bar drinking coffee.

We were excited because this was the only restaurant off the 5 South, and the pictures of the food looked good. However, even though the food wasn’t terrible, everything else was. There were only 3 people working and they barely spoke English. It took sooooo long to get our order taken and even longer to get our food. Additionally there were many dead flies in the window sills and more flies flying around while we were trying to eat. The prices are too expensive for the food and experience. Bad all the way around. I would save your money and time– go to fast food instead.

We were traveling on the 5 freeway, and we stopped for some breakfast. It looked quaint, and we were excited to taste some local food. The other review that said it smells bad was not exaggerating!!! It smelled terrible! So bad that I couldn’t stand stand staying in to even try the food. We tried to seat ourself and there wasn’t anyone working in the front. My husband got someone’s attention but before they came to the front we were gone. I just couldn’t take the smell. We went to Denny’s down the street which tasted and smelled much better.

If you find yourself in Westley or travelling on interstate five, make this restaurant part of your trip plan. While the inside could physically use some tlc, the food and the friendly service more than make up for any aesthetic discomfort. I ordered the pancakes and sausage with eggs. You have a choice of sausages or bacon, and if you choose sausage you then can chose between links or patties. I chose links. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, served with a generous amount of butter and syrup. The sausage was nice and flavorful, a good breakfast sausage. The eggs were cooked perfectly, I ordered them scrambled this time. Next time maybe I will try over medium, because I think that they would be able to do it right. On one side of the freeway exit is a chain restaurant which everyone knows, but for a truly home-cooked quality meal, go to the other side of the freeway, next to the Shell station, and give Ingram Creek a try. You will be grateful that you discovered this almost hidden gem; a diamond in the rough.

The food was excellent. Fast. Hot & fresh. Lots of Flies & needs to be updated. Need younger cheerier workers. Good was made to order. It’s much better the Denny’s

Another place that doesn’t know how to make an omelette. They didn’t even bother making it into a omelette shape. Just a rectangle of scrambled eggs. However, the service was good, the coffee was… it was the color of coffee and it was hot. And the service was good.

Here is a quiet and barely visible restaurant next to i-5 at the Ingram Creek exit. It’s west of the freeway next to a gas station and easily missed. Most of the other gas station and restaurants are east of the freeway. Large portions and very reasonable prices are their specialties. The menu is varied and serves a wide variety of food. I had a huge root beer float and my son had the strawberry shake. This double sized treat was $ 3.79. We observed other voluminous dishes that looked great! My hope is that they invest in a bit of remodeling and get some new signage as they need a facelift. I want them to be around next time I come through. Service was a little slow but the offerings and portion sizes make this restaurant 4 stars.

A pleasant surprise! Drab outside, but inside the food is good, reasonably priced, and served with a smile. We enjoyed burgers(meat and veggie), brought quickly and cheerfully by Monse.

This restaurant is westley exit number 441 and it is a great place for a nice meal anytime of the day. Typical American food options with a few options of a couple of Mexican dishes. ALSONOWSERVINGBEERANDWINE :)

Traveling home from Bay area and HAD to get out of the traffic! Ingram Creek received fairly good reviews on Unilocal,so we pulled in. Service was prompt, Food was good, service was good. I’d stop there again… about the same caliber as a Denny’s.

Since I travel up and down I 5 a lot, it has been difficult to find many good mom and pop restaurants for a decent breakfast. This one is pretty good, clean, inexpensive, and way better than the Denny’s across the freeway! They have daily specials, great Biscuits and Gravy, and the best Iced Tea around!

Nice people, but man does this place smell awful. The bathrooms were filthy. The restaurant wasn’t much better. The kitchen appeared clean and the water came in big mugs, though. I’d avoid the ‘farmer’s market’ that’s in the parking lot, too — $ 5 for a quart of cherries? Really?

The real American experience complete with creepy diner in the middle of nowhere, empty place, 1 waitress, and no phone service. Straight of texas chainsaw massacre… Other than that it was a cute diner with the usual food– we got burgers which were ok. White bread bought buns and the burger was very well done but the fries were good. Also I got clam chowder soup instead of fries and it was not the best– possibly from a can. The place itself had so much character– I felt like I was on a movie set. Also there is a tent outside selling fresh fruit — bit on the expensive site, but good for a roadtrip snack. Just remember to wash them before eating– they look like they have spray on them.

We stopped in on the road from Humboldt County to Los Angeles Sunday evening, and I’ve got to say this was one of the best roadside restaurants I’ve been to in years. Usually these places are chancy, but the Ingram Creek was terrific. Nice atmosphere, collectibles for sale, and a spectacular waitress! Great chicken, fries, meatloaf– this gets a Road Food five stars. We shall return!

On the way back from Carmichael to La and we were looking for an actual breakfast spot(no Denny’s doesn’t count) and I saw this place on Unilocal with not as many stars as I usually like when choosing a place to dine at so of course I was apprehensive going in. But once we got inside I had to write a review to correct what people negatively put on here. His place is very nice on the inside, cute and quaint diner. I love diners being from the city we don’t have many classic diners so I loved it as soon as I walked in. Great great service, nice friendly waitresses. Great food and a nice healthy portion especially for what you pay for. I especially loved the fact they have vegetarian options. If you’re looking for some good breakfast instead of the 1000 nasty Denny’s you’re sure to pass by, STOPHERE!(: Thanks Lupita for the great service.

Ingram is located in the first truck stop out of S.F. after Hwy 580 on Hwy 5 and I sorely wish it was the second truck stop so I wouldn’t have eaten here. Like most of the diners on the highway, Ingram’s dining room is full of trinkets for sale. Ingram, however, had one additional feature — a stale food smell. Hey that should have tipped me off but stupid/lazy/hungry me I decided what the heck. I tried to order the breakfast burrito and the coiffed hair waitress shook her head and said that the breakfast burrito is the one item she would not recommend on the menu. She did, however, raved about the deluxe burrito. So that was what I had. If the breakfast burrito is worse than the deluxe burrito, I guess I should be thankful I am not dead! Did I eat it all? Like I said I am stupid/lazy/hungry and just wanted to go home. One positive note is I didn’t get food poisoning — with a long drive that would have been bad bad bad! Next time? Keep on driving.
