Majestic Diner

I purchased a «Majestic Chef’s Salad» to-​go and was highly dissappointed. They did not have the fat free Italian dressing which was listed on the menu. Secondly, I did not receive mixed greens on my salad, but rather ice berg lettuce. Lastly, the salad was topped with lunch meat that was poorly integrated and tough. Overall, I am highly disappointed with my purchase. On a positive note, the staff members were professional and friendly.

We have been going to the Majestic Diner for many years. The food is consistently good, waiter service attentive and the prices are reasonable. This is one of the lasting diners and is open ²⁴⁄₇. It is unusually clean.

Dirty, disgusting, and infested.
I walked into this diner and was assaulted with the smell of decay. It was a very pungent and disgusting odor. Rat droppings were immediately visible on the floors. The tables looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned since 1987. The atmosphere was horrible. Besides the wretched odor, the lighting was very dim and the interior décor was flat out miserable. Also, the kitchen staff were screaming at each other very loudly in Spanish behind the scenes; they did not sound like they were working as a team. The man who I assumed was the restaurant owner stepped behind the counter and yelled something incomprehensible to the staff, who immediately shut up in fear of being fired. The owner then turned his gaze towards me and put on the most insincere smile I have ever seen. I spun around on my heel and walked briskly out of the restaurant, muttering «never again» to myself.
–I wound up eating two tasty Cheesy Beef Burritos at the Taco Bell across the road for probably way less than I would have spent at the Majestic judging by what other reviewers here have said about their outrageous pricing.

On their health inspections — -they score ZERO violation points several times consecutively which leads me to believe they may be paying a health inspector off to cover up the dirtiness of this diner. When they didn’t get zero violation points — they wound up getting violations for insects and rodents.
Stay away at all costs.

The service is superb and it feels like your local dinner. There’s a ton of staff and they help each other out. The menu is huge and the food is always good.

The diner had a lot of open seating. Breakfast was cold and not flavorful. The veggie omelet was overdone. The French toast was hard. I wanted to replace the bacon or pork sausage with turkey sausage or turkey bacon. It was an additional $ 2 to replace an item. During the meal I felt rushed to leave. Yet there were only about 12 tables with customers. The waitress memorized my order and was polite. Within minutes of getting my meal she kept asking if I needed a box or a sandwich to go. IHOP is a block away and also has parking. Go there!

Wife and I have been there quite a few times. Went two days ago with some friends. Macaroni salad, chick peas and the bread basket were brought right out. She had a great panini and took half of that home, I had the double cheese and bacon burger. It was cooked fine and tasted great. A la carte entrees are a little pricey and for $ 6 more you get soup, salad, drink and dessert but if you don’t pay the $ 6 you still get soup or salad and if you’re not the dessert type and coffee is only $ 2.50 for unlimited but you’re still looking at nearly $ 20 per person plus the drink and for a diner that seems a little high. Friends both had the veal parm and that came with about a half pound of pasta so the portions are large. Nice place to go, service is good.

This place is nothing more than a rip-​off. I ordered a bagel with lox and cream cheese and an omelette and it came 45 minutes later when the place is not even half capacity. It came out to $ 40 and the lox and bagel were not fresh whatsoever. I guess they do well ripping drunk people off after midnight. The seats and table were very sticky, as if someone ejaculated all over them. I felt bad for the waiter, as he was a nice guy working at a bad place.

I’ve come to this diner a few times over many years and I will definately give them four stars for their consistently good service and food. The parking lot (on Old Country Rd.) is very easy access and during very peak busy periods I have seen valet service to keep the traffic flowing.
I was greeted immediately upon entrance and 30 seconds later in my seat. Our waiter came over, introduced himself and took our drink order. After delivering our drinks he took our late dinner menu.
I was impressed with my Tuna on Rye with French fries. A BIG sandwich and well cooked and tasty fries. I asked for gravy with the fries and that was delivered with the rest of the food. My wife had a BLT and that too was an over-​stuffed and well prepared sandwich. My friends has some burgers and that too came cooked as ordered.
There is a reason why this place has been here for so many years… They get it right, the first time.

Horrific. This place is worst then Thomas eggery Diner. No flavor pancakes, rock hard waffles and the worst fried chicken i ever had. Save your money and eat at Taco bell across the street. I don’t see why so many people eat here it was on a Sunday. They don’t honor the 10% on weekends. The waitor was terrible and rude. I noticed all the waiters were old rude men and the managers were just as rude. .poor customer service and horrible food. Stay away!

Been here a few times before previously and had good food.
I was immediately seated
Service was great, Coffee was fresh.
Had the 1 egg scrambled with Sausage,
Came with home fries and toast.
The meal came quick, and hot .
The staff refilled my coffee three times and made a fresh pot for me.
The booth next to me initially was loud.
(expected early Saturday morning) .
but they quickly left .then the ambience was nice & quiet
I enjoyed my breakfast while watching the television that is in the diner .
They also have Wi-​Fi that I can connect with my tablet .
I enjoyed my breakfast this morning .
but did not know about the Unilocal check in 10% coupon wish I could have gotten that .
I left a large tip anyway

Start off with bread but also a little bowl of both macaroni salad and chickpea salad. The macaroni salad did not have too much mayo or vinegar. The Chickpea salad was well seasoned and tasty.
The service is pretty quick and good. The meals come with a good portion of food as well. Like most dinners in the area, you can order dinner meals that come with soups and salads.
I have come here a few times and food is usually pretty good.

Regular diner. Food is good. I ordered the power wrap: egg whites, turkey, spinach, tomato. If you are trying to be on the healthier side this is a good option and it Taste good too!
Service was a bit slow. We waited a while to get our order taken. Food came out in a decent time.
I liked how this diner isn’t over crowded like most on a weekend night.

My Eggs Benedict had ham steaks instead of Canadian bacon. The English muffin tasted terrible. They didn’t drain the poached eggs and there was a pool of water making everything soggy. When I asked the waiter how much it would be to substitute fruit for my home fries he had an attitude like he didn’t want to bother finding out. I would not go back but would next time go to Cheesecake Factory, or wait at Thomas’s down the road! To add to it I was just in the middle of eating my ham and he took it from me rushing me out yet there is no wait for tables! I was polite and friendly as well to the waiter. The bill was $ 24.77 for two for breakfast – one adult and one child. I do not recommend.
I should have read the reviews first! Now I’m reading about rat droppings. Yikes.

The poached eggs were golf balls. I almost just wrote the word «blech!!!» But since my bill for my gross pile of food was $ 30, I thought I’d write a $ 30 review. We’d liken the potatoes to a burnt pile of starch.

The food is good, the ambiance is legit; majestic! The seats totally look like the blue version of the Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz.
Pricing at most LI diners are $$. And the seats were mostly comfy.

Best diner in the area. The brunch combos are great and there is always plenty of seating .

So, I thought that this place was ok. I ordered the gyro and it was good. My husband got the Monte Cristo sandwich. I do not recommend the sandwich. It was poorly executed. Absolutely no love was put into that sandwich! And this place is pricey. I’m not from New York, so maybe this is common for diners up here. I was expecting reasonable prices for the «ok» food. That is not the case at all. Be prepared to pay.
The server was very nice and the food did come out quickly.

OK — $ 72 including tax for 3 Deluxe burgers and a Panini with 2 sodas and 2 coffees — food was below average.
Service was terrible — waiter threw the menus on a dirty table with sticky chairs — never checked on us, for refills or if we needed anything. When called out on his poor service, he refused to ow it, claimed it was busy, it was not — only ¼ to ¹⁄₃ full.
I gave NO TIP and complained to the Manager who seemed not to care.
I will not return — ever.

Came to Majestic on the late night after work. I ordered Barbecued chicken wings and a toss salad to go. Very friendly and prompt service, but I was not to happy with my food.
Under the appetizer menu, there was the option of barbecue wings. I was so surprised because diners usually carry buffalo wings, not BBQ. I pointed to it and enunciated my order, but some how I got regular ol’ buffalo wings that had too much breading and fat on them. They were not enjoyable and they were like $ 10 for 7 wings! The salad was a nice size but they could have diced up my cucumbers like they cared and I do love onion but I had more onion than lettuce!
I’m not gonna say I won’t eat here again but on the next go I’ll just try breakfast, the usual diner fix. I won’t feel safe trying anything else.
