Love this Rite Aid! Ran in late tonight for some last minute things. Got them, then saw a young man come out of the store with a double decker ice cream cone! Looked too good to resist! So purchased items then went over to Ice Cream Dept. ALEX the cashier who rang up the merchandise for us came over. He had previously called for a back up cashier. No one came, He called again(with his UNGLOVED hand!!) for a cashier. The security officer said dude was busy in the back! Then there was a line at the empty register. So my friend said go ring them up then get our 2nd cone! ALEX didn’t skip a beat, he asked me what I wanted! And I told him THANKYOUVERYMUCH for following thru with our order! He changed his glove, I asked why? He said he changed the glove because the other one got smudged, when he wiped the side of the cup! Clearly he is up on sanitation rules! PERFECT! A very pleasant young man! Thanks Alex! Your boss better give you Big Ups!

I was at the rite Aid on 1260 W Capitol Ave, West Sacramento, CA95691at 7:25 pm on July 3rd2015 . I often frequent this store to send and receive western union services up to $ 300. Today I tried to receive $ 240 and was told the location only does transactions for $ 100 now. There is no notice posted and I called western union and was told the Rite Aid covers up to $ 500. I asked to speak to a manager and a young lady with an attitude walked up to me without a name tag, I really didn’t know who she was but she said she can only give $ 100. I asked when was that changed and if she just made it up and she said YEAH I DID. I told her I would contact corporate for the poor service and she said GOAHEAD. I asked for her name three times and she refused to give it to me and wore no ID. she had glasses on and was Caucasian and a blue the shirt. I most likely will not shop with rite Aid because I was treated like a second class citizen, most likely because the color of my skin. The employees and manager here need servere remedial customer service training.

Many rude employees at this store. they do not smile or welcome the customers and they talk amongst themselves when ringing up customers. If I have a question on where to find a product, I’m responded with an ‘I dont exactly know’ or a curt ‘aisle whatever #”(no eye contact). These employees need to take some seriously hard«Customer service skills and Techniques classes». I only come here because of the convenience. The homeless people are the worst when I’ve parked my car and feel safe enough to walk into the store let alone when I finally make it into the store, I now have to deal with the rudeness of Rite Aid employees.

Can you please hire someone that actually understands the English language and knows the products they carry in the store? After calling Rite-Aid for a SIMPLE question, I was left on hold for over 15 minutes. Thank heavens I left my phone on speaker, otherwise the harmful radiation would have penetrated through my skull and perhaps I would have been left with a pile of mush like the woman«Alex» I just spoke with. RiteAid: Thank shew for callin’ Rice-Aid this is(inaudible speaking). ME: Hello, do you carry the MAGICJACK phone line… it’s a…(rushes me off the phone to place me in standby hell). RiteAid: Plz holdz. 15 minutes later of listening to «black velvet» on repeat I was ready to hang up. But then… just wait! She returns! RiteAid: Shesh(yes), we have the Miralax(diarrhea medicine) in different flavors. ME: No, I said MAGICJACKFORTHEHOMECOMPUTER. YOU. PLUG. IT. IN. RiteAid: Ohhhhh… ok hang on. ME: That’s ok, I’m just going to just jump off the I street bridge now.

I don’t know why so many people are complaining about this Rite Aid. I take a lot of meds(diabetic w/hypertension) and they’re unfailingly polite and helpful. When I do need to consult with them about a prescription, they’re easy to contact and easy to talk to. The checkout staff are very nice and remember you from visit to visit. My only complaint is something they can’t change — the neighborhood has a lot of panhandlers in it, so you see them in the parking lot. I’ve had better service from this Rite Aid than a lot of other local pharmacies(you listening, Walgreens?)

Ohhhh my God!!! I have been treated soooo wrong in there. So stupid security from store was spying on me. How ruuude is that??? He was openly spying on me. When I have asked him why the hell is he looking after me he tryed to accuse me that I have stole a ring. He saw I put a ring in my packet. What a ring for $ 5 hahaha really baby??? So I have requested to show that on video recorded, he did not show anything well of course. I never go there again!!!

This is the crappiest rite aid ever. Im a couponer and im often after the good deals using their up rewards program. The employees here dont have a clue and as soon as these see me take out a couple coupons and my rewards dollars to pay, they automatically treat me like crap. Im considering driving to a rite aid out of town next time just to avoid this one. Seriously, they need to fire the cashiers here, they are rude to couponers!

I usually shop at Rite Aid for the great deals on liquor(the only other places are the liquor stores who sell things too expensive). I came in here the other day only to be treated with some of the worst disrespect I’ve come across in a LONG time. The older woman working the cash register, Diana, had to be one of the rudest women I have ever seen in my life. I think what Diana and lot of the older people who work at this store don’t realize… YOUCAN’T TREATYOURYOUNGERCUSTOMERSWITHDISRESPECT… WEBUYYOURPRODUCTSWHICHINTURNPAYSFORYOURSALARY/BILLS. I felt like I was very cordial to Diana and the«professionalism» she showed in return was sickening. Working in retail most of my life I know that if I ever acted the way she did to the customers I would be FIRED. Amazing what some people are able to get away with these days. After today I think I’ll be shopping at a new Rite Aid. The people working at this location need to get their priorities straight and pull their head out their rear-ends.

Q: Who writes a review about Rite Aid? A: Looks like I do! In 1993 Payless Drug Stores was purchased by Rite Aid and all the stores were converted into Rite Aids. At the same time the revenue management process and pricing strategies changed and the great deals and fun sales that Payless once offered have been gone ever since. That’s how business works though and apparently it’s worked for them for the last 18 years because they remained in business, somehow without my business. Nearly two decades later I find myself popping into the West Sacramento Rite Aid from time to time to grab something really quick here and there. These are some of my observations; the store is kept very clean, the employees are friendly, the prices are often a tad more expensive than Raley’s or any of the surrounding supermarkets, the stores are small so selections are limited but they carry just about everything you might need in a quick trip aside from meat and produce. I like this store better than the local Walgreen’s in West Sacramento because I think they do a better job of training there employees or at least hiring employees who don’t wreak of cigarette smoke and openly complain to one another about how much they hate their jobs. I am not going to actually give this Rite Aid my stamp of approval however I do recommend you don’t pass it up if you just need something really quick and don’t want to stop at a grocery store. Everyone has different tastes and expectations, mine maybe a little biased because I will always compare Rite Aid to Payless so please check Rite Aid out for yourself. Rite Aid may not offer me the experience that I hoped for but that doesn’t mean it won’t for you. I recommend trying them and making your own informed decision. Think for yourself and don’t just blindly follow the crowd. ~ @SacramentoMarko

I came yesterday because I had to drop off a Wellness card(their store discount card) application that I have been hanging on to for some weeks, and saw their Thrifty ice cream stand in the front of the store. How I love their traditionally good, old-fashioned ice cream– and not all their stores have these anymore since Rite Aid took over a decade ago or so. Come to find out that 9÷20÷10 was their 50-year Ice Cream Anniversary– what an appropriate way for me to celebrate than with $ 1.792-scoop Pistachio Nut and Krispy Chocolate Malt pure, frozen creamy goodness! And that is their price everyday– not only on their milestone anniversary. As for the rest of the store, it was dead– but I never realized how big this location was. I pop in every now and again for small knick-knacks I want or need, and Rite Aid usually has them. If you pay attention to their advertising, you can catch some great sale prices on their novelty items. The staff was friendly at my visit. Be forewarned that this side of West Sac is not the best, so prepare to be asked for«spare change» outside of the store because there are many loiterers. A little goodness never hurt anyone, but be cautious.
