Raley’s

Nice, clean, neat and organized. I always go inside Wells Fargo but this time I get to look around. I went to Wal-​Mart for a couple of times and they didn’t have the large size of Dynasty sesame oil. I had to come here. People are friendly and very respectable employees.

If I lived in West Sac (again), I think I’d frequent this store. Try to, at least…

This store is great. The customer service is outstanding. The parkinglot is well lit and not sharred so plenty of spots. The deli is outstanding but the chicken at china kitchen is the best. The bakery is amazing and all the goodies are perfectly selish. Heck they even have java city coffee. The produce section is beautifuly displayed and kept fresh. They even have a local section.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to review this store. The staff has always been helpful. I always ring the meat area to have one of the butchers select my steaks. Great info and ideas come from them. The deli /​salads area can be way busy at times but the counter personnel seems to always keep their cool with the sometimes rude customers. Really wonderful about offering and recommending items. The checking staff has always been «johnny on the spot» to help when I’ve had an issue with the self-​check register. They take note of when things are busy in the lines to keep things moving instead of excessive small talk. Really nice pharm staff and are generous with their time for call in questions. Love, love, luv the «Extra» magazine. Seems I always get excited to see the new ones. They really do an exceptional job and I love that many have been at this location for years. I went to Raley’s on for the first time since moving to the area, I’m impressed!
First of all, the store was extremely clean. Items were all where they should be, floors were nice and shiny, the display cases were well stocked and organized and checkout lines and belts were spotless.
The staff was very friendly and helpful when I needed assistance locating a specialty item.
The prices were low! I am always shocked after shopping at Nugget for so long that $ 100 really does go a long way at these bigger stores.
It pays to have that club card. I think you can use it on gas somehow (no pumps in West Sac) but you also get points back a few times a year. We’re just 25 points from $ 5.00 back and we just started shopping there. This definitely makes me happy, I love discounts and rewards!
Also note, this store is not as dumpy as Safeway. Safeway is located in a less desirable location and is much smaller, dirtier, and I don’t care how cheap it is, I’m not going back!

This Raley’s is pretty small, probably half the size of the Freeport location and the walkways are a bit cramped. Also I’ve noticed when they have meat on a good sale it’s not always in stock at this location or its sold out. This place still beats out the Safeway in West Sac though…

I have to say, this is one of the better stocked grocery stores I’ve come across. If I lived in the neighborhood I would be coming here on a regular basis.
I live close to Save Mart in East Sacramento and have gotten used to their selection. The selection here put them to shame, with shelves of goodies and brands that I don’t see elsewhere, plus a respectable produce and meat selection. If not for slightly higher prices, I’d probably give them 5 stars. But the prices are a bit steep depending on what you’re searching for, which makes it difficult for the average consumer to meet their needs within their budget.
With so many grocery stores in our backyard, you’re probably safe with whichever place you regularly visit. But if you are in the neighborhood of West Sacramento, this Raley’s will most definitely have what you are looking for!

Bought a cake so I could bring it to my daughter’s preschool class. Pretty disappointed with the results but I think it just depends on who decorates your cake. I’m sure the standard cake tastes pretty much the same and I’ve seen other cakes decorated nicely at the other raleys so I figured why not, it’s just for school… I’m glad I didn’t pick one up for her bday party here.

While this is the best grocery store in West Sacramento, I really would expect more of Raley’s, especially considering their corporate offices are just located down the street.
I try my best to check the dates on every item I purchase, but in the past year I have had to throw away over $ 100 in expired food and produce that was rotten within a day of purchasing.
It is definitely not the level of quality I know from Raley’s. It seems as though their stocking and/​or purchasing staff at this location is just not on the ball.
On a positive note, I will add that since their remodel last year the store does look and smell much nicer, and their checkers are always courteous.

Best place in West Sac to shop for groceries hands down. Great service, great selection, great prices and always clean.

So we bought a loaf of garlic bread from the bakery today. We followed the directions and put it in the oven inside the package. When the timer went off we took it out of the package and it was plain no garlic butter at all, you had one job and could not do it wow how hard is it to slap some garlic butter on some bread. Making my own garlic butter probably taste better than raley’s butter anyway haha.

As I work in this area, I sometimes find myself struggling to find a new decent place to go (Let’s face it, West Sac is gross– especially West Capital Blvd). If you can get over the hookers and crack addicts who hang out in front of this place, it’s not too bad. The inside is clean and produce is fresh. The staff at the deli was very friendly and attentive– not so much the girl at the check stand. I didn’t think highly of the dry, plain veggie sandwich I had, but I will probably be back to try something else one of these days just because it was a clean and relatively inexpensive option.

AwfuL serVice all the time. New guy named Camron had attitude for no reaSon, he works front end, and I am just sick of this store. Eventhough it’s convenient for me I’ll never be back, I don’t enjoy being treated like shit when I’m spending my money somewhere.

Remodeling this location. Not sure I like pharmacy in new location. Great selection of grains, including organic and heirloom. Still not carrying black garlic :(Seafood selection is small but today ⁶⁄₂₀ they have gorgeous halibut steaks (wild caught).

This is a targeted review of their remodel. Switch every back. I absolutely positively hate it. I cannot find crap in that place now. Very frustrating…

My first time at this store doing my grocery shopping on my own with my son was not a great one. I was able to find everything I needed even though the layout is a little different than I am used to. Did everything I needed to do at the bank just fine. My issue is when I checked out. As I waited in line I noticed how friendly the cashier was to everyone but when I got to the register the friendly mood disappeared. Not as much a hello to me or my 3 year old. My son loves to say hi and talk to people so I was surprised how cold she was to both of us. Even when I said thank you she didn’t even respond. The courtesy Clerk was very sweet and that made up for it but I doubt I will be coming back to buy food there. I will just stick with the bank.

Im changing my review as this Raleys store has far improved over the past few months. I’m not sure if there was a change in management or in employees but I’m now very satisfied with my current shopping experiences here. The employees have been very courteous and the groceries seem to be better stocked. Also the produce and meat here is high quality and very fresh and the prices are reasonable.

Pretty standard raleys store. There’s nothing that makes me want to go back, but nothing that makes me want to never go back either. Customer service was… Average.

This is a targeted review for the Raley’s bakery.
I could have ordered a custom cake for my girls’ first b-​day smash-​cake extravaganza anywhere: Nugget, Freeport, Ettore’s…so why, you may ask, did I choose Raley’s? First, I don’t have the luxury of time for 25 – 45 minute cross-​city trips in pursuit of – let’s be honest and call it what it is– a dressed-​up sugarwad. Also, I’m not willing to shell out $ 50 for a single-​tier cake suffocated by fondant. That’s a surplus of money better spent on food/​beverages for guests, gifts, décor, etc.
I called Raley’s on Thursday, detailed what I was after, and the very friendly, courteous bakery clerk repeated my order back to me in equal meticulous detail. The cake I picked up on Sunday was PRECISELY what I had asked for (added photo to the user’s photos area) and set me back a mere fraction of what other local bakeries would have for a comparable fancy sheet cake. AND, the cake was tasty to boot; I gorged myself sick a few times on the icing. Oops!
I will be returning to Raley’s bakery for all of my future sugar party needs.
