I almost gave 300 Room Lounge 3 stars because this is my 300th review. But hey, getting it on at a bowling alley is fun. Great place for a night out with the pals.

Went there with some friends after a coffee shop show. The bartender was great and good prices on the drinks. The was a band made up of 4 different music genre characters and some mini-kid on bass(that killed it) all voltroning together to put the classic back in rock. Good times. I’m going back next time I’m in town. Did I mention that on the way out of the Coffee Shop show we ran into the lead singer of Cake biking around with his dog in the middle of the night. He was very cool and shared some pastries with us(we were kinda hungry at the time). The pastries were good but Cake is bettah.

The 300 Club has reopened inside the Capitol Bowl. After the Friday Night Concert in the Park we headed across the Sacramento river to West Sac to check out the Tattooed Love Dogs. Gobs of parking in the back of the bowling alley. We went throught the side door and headed to the 300 Club. I love the sound of a bowling alley. It was also glo-bowling night at Capitol Bowl which gave it a nightclub appearance. Pins crashing with the sounds of guitars blaring is a nice touch. We headed directly to where the guitars were blaring. The bar was pretty loaded. We managed to order a couple beers and find a couple seats underneath the long line of bowling shoes tacked to the wall. We hung in back of the club, sipped a few beers, and listened to the cool guitar sounds of the Tattooed Love Dogs. They rocked«Not Pretty».

The 300 Room is part of Capitol Bowl in West Sacramento. You have to enter through the bowling alley and not through the door outside marked«Lounge». Too bad. That’s the adult’s door. This place seems to be trying as of late. Along with a full selection of spirits and beer to choose from they are now starting to offer live entertainment. On Friday and Saturday nights they have bands and on other nights they offer karaōke. I like the ambiance of this watering hole. Christmas lights mixed with alcohol and beer paraphernalia set to the sounds of an active bowling alley. I think they could use a jukebox in the place.
